The flight was on time. The snacks could be better

There were complications with my flights boarding in spokane and my secondary flight was changed without my consent to one that boarded at the same time as my first flight let me out on the opposite side of the massivr layover airport. It was only because an employee saw my struggle and confusion and hooked me up with a ride that I even made the flight dispite delta's best efforts. My TV's headphone jack on my first flight was also busted which sucked to find out after buying headphones on the flight. About halfway through the flight one of the attendants moved me to a seat with a working TV. Long story short Delta as an airline was terrible but their employees did their best to help me with what limited options they had to work with.

Delta gate agent told me she would lose her job if she did not close the doors 8 minutes prior. However the Minneapolis flight waited for 15 minutes for people to board that plane. How does that compute? Why would they not wait 3 minutes for me rather than pay the money to put me up in a hotel?"

I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Delta sold me a 1st class flight because of their delays and overbooking their flights. This was because they could not fulfill the ticket I had. This was Delta's solution to their problem caused by them. I still have no idea why the flights were delayed. On top of all this, I overheard a walk-on pilot ask if there was room for him to catch a lift home. The flight attendant responded with "absolutely this flight is not full at all, you can sit right here". Wait I had to pay 200 bucks extra for an overbooked flight and you are having your Delta representatives say different. This was my first and last trip with Delta. I spent 1000 dollars for round trip ticket from Seattle to Spokane WA. No way is that OK or acceptable under any circumstances to treat your customers like this. The best part about all of this is, I have sent feedback and called customer service to talk to a manager to hear the blame put on back on me. Perception is reality Delta. Awful service, awful prices, awful care, awful communication, and awful value for the money."

The woman in the seat in front of me was practically sitting in my lap, which I couldn’t help unless someone surgically removed part of my legs. My knees were smashed against her recliner seat for the full three hour flight. I was moved from a window seat mid cabin to a seat surrounded by children under the age of six. No chance at rest. Made me lug bagged to oversized drop off only to be told that my gear wasn’t actually oversized and I had to lug it all back and stand in line for bag drop off again. This was a bad time."

Pros: "Honestly, it was the best takeoff and landing I've ever experienced (I keep telling people that whenever I talk about my flight) Having never flown Sun Country before, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff who checked me in and my flight crew. I don't know if it's because the hub is in Minnesota or because we were all coming back from a relaxing vacay in paradise, but it was the friendliest flight I have been on in a long time."

I wasn't a huge fan of having to pay for my actual seat after purchasing (and spending a decent chunk of change) on my actual ticket, and the fact that there were no free snacks, but after being able to get the seatbelt to fit, I was so happy that I didn't need snacks :)"

Cons: "No one at desk for check in, then when boarding there was a man standing in the aisle that would not allow me to pass, I had an infant in my arms but he refused to move even after multiple requests. I had to squeeze past him. When plane was fully boarded he started to vomit. He vomited multiple times before we started moving. Steward asked him if he was okay to fly and he did not answer, just nodded a bit. He continued to vomit, was unable to use the bag properly, he appeared highly intoxicated. He vomited into the aisle and all over our shoes and pant legs and carry on bags. We told the stewards who went and grabbed a package of paper towels and shoved them at us. They moved the passengers on the other side of him up to the front of the plane but said nothing to us. No one apologized. Twice we were told our baby was the baby of the year but that was the only remark."

Cons: "I just acquired a Known Traveler Number for TSA Pre-Check. When I checked in at the airport, the self-service screen showed my KTN, but printed the boarding pass without saying PreCheck on it. I didn't notice until I was at security and was no longer able to get it corrected. I was told by the TSA person (not a Sun Country employee) that it was "random," but surely your system can factor KTNs into boarding passes automatically, especially since I (and other passengers) paid for the DHS enrollment. I was also hoping for electrical outlets in the seat so I could use my laptop."

Like, innovation is only possible via dissension, and I'm sure your business is having the same troubles with idiot senior leaders as every other US corporate business is, but if you're going to ask for feedback, the feedback is stop being so blah and stand for something other than your Board. Plenty of ideas out there - stop being so pro-short term profit and start having some fun!"

They described how they waited until group 3 was called and then went right through. While we were waiting, we watched them do it again. If you need to cram people into tiny spaces to be profitable, then you cannot allow them to make it worse by putting back their seats. I spent 90 minutes with a seat back jammed into my chest. We were ignored when handing out snacks, probably because we were invisible behind the seats pushed in our faces. It was one of the most miserable flights I’ve experienced."

Even when going through the check and security points I used to go in a special route especially for the handicaped but going with all other normal travelers lines with such amount of time waiting and crowdness is completely inconvenient. what happened through the trip was quit different , going with the travelers or after when they are boarding the craft make it very hard and time consuming , Wish you take care of it, as it's a very important handicaped service. We had the front seat in first class. All night long the crew were talking loudly- difficult to sleep. They should be conscious of the passengers"

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

One guy told her she could board but the gate agent said no it didn't fit and she couldn't board. Then the agent claimed she had to gate check her bag and claimed there were no overhead spaces left. The gate agent lied and slowed down the entire boarding process because she want to win a fight and show dominance over a passenger."

She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Tried to check in on line and I could not do it. Because I had minor kids with me. We were separated in our seats. I had to pay airport prices for my bag going back to Rockford I was not a very happy camper.

I also was not credited my frequent flyer miles. Some glitch in the system. Overall I must rate my experience as a one star simply because the pilots got us there safely."

While boarding the plane in SFO, the people at the gate made me check my carry on bag. Which I thought was very weird. When we finally got to Chicago I stood in line for two and a half hours to talk to one of the worst customer service lady of my life. She swore at me many times over me trying to be polite and wait for her to call me up to find another flight. Instead she looked at me and said "what are you waiting for?" She said to me "Oh here's a flight. But oh wait it's already sold out or gone" and she would laugh. Finally she found a flight close to where I live. My baggage had got lost from my connecting flight leaving without me. I got all of my luggage 2 days after. My carry on bag that got checked at my gate was in a clear trash bag. I took it out of the bag to find that it was completely trashed. My handles were ripped off which put a huge whole revealing all of my personal items. My carry on bag has only been used once and can never be used again. I unpacked my bag and noticed $300 worth of my stuff was missing. I have called to make many complaints to talk to corporate office but no one would give me the correct number. I will NEVER fly United Airlines again. I am so disappointed."

During my return trip I ran to make my connecting flight just barely on time and once boarded we sat on the plan for an hour before taking off. Flight to get to Richmond on united was a major problem. I work up with a notification that my flight time had been moved up 2.5 hours ( a problem as I live 2.5 hours away from the airport) I called and they said it was a mistake that I was good to take the origional flight. A few hours later I get a phone call from united asking if I could be at the airport 2.5 hours early. I said unfortunately no because I had already spoken to someone from united and they had reassumed me that the origional flight was still good. She then said if I couldn't make it early it was no problem. So I get to the airport at the origional time after speaking to two different agents who told me this was ok to find the plane delayed and causing me to miss my missed connection."

We at 29,000 feet, we're ahead of schedule, we are going to arrive 30 minutes early. Then we arrive early sit on the tarmac, because guess what was at our gate; ANOTHER AIRPLANE! All his rushing and interruption were a waste. The ground team had him wait 200 feet away from the gate for another period of time. We arrived three to five minutes early, at 7:30 PM. Very unpleasant flight."

But $30 in food vouchers doesn't get you very far in an airport. Also that's just enough to survive the lay over that was caused by your maintenance issues. Your attendant then tried to put me on standby all day the following day with a guaranteed flight at 8pm. I then asked him to check other airlines and was able to get an 8am one. The sheer lack of customer service is impressive. PS if your airline screws up, the least I deserve is a seat upgrade or some free sky mile points."

Cons: "We had a confirmed reservation on tickets that I bought months ago. However, when we went to get our seats, the flight had been oversold. We were involuntarily booted off the flight- even though one on standby got a seat, and another person did not show up- we could have gotten on the flight! We were heavily compensated and the staff were as generous as they could be, but it was completely frustrating and upsetting when you have to go through that, after ahead time planning to be booted off a flight like that."
Cons: "We got on board, waited 20 minutes. Capt said it was a bad reverser, and we were waiting on paperwork for 15 minutes. Long story short, they make us leave the plane after 2.5 hours. Then we wait in the airport for another 2.5 hours. I missed my connection and spent 10 hours in Chicago."
Pros: "Nice CSR people in AZO"
Cons: "United delayed the flight. This information became available about an hour in advance- well after we drove two hours (We live in Montana) to get to the airport. The attendants said / not our problem. I called United's Customer Service number to discuss ways of mediating the delay that resulted in us missing the wedding venue and entire reason we booked the $1400 flight. I again got a "not my problem" response- no the flights can be modified, no we will not provide vouchers, no we really don't care that our poor quality and service cost you and your family tremendously in time, effort, and lost memories. I know we are at the mercy of airlines, but what a painful disappointment. My experience with Delta has been better and I suggest avoiding United Airlines if other flight options exist.... Even consider a very long drive over the use of the airline."
