I upgraded to a better seat and it was much more comfortable. Nobody serves food anymore and actually on a 2+ hr flight not necessary. I didn’t even get water.
Flight got delayed like 5 times, then they put and ada passenger in the back of the plane.
Arrived in Seattle to find our non stop flight was canceled and that we were rebooked to depart 16 hrs later. We stood in customer relation line for well over an hour and a half to find out what to do with our frozen fish that was checked bags and to get to our destination in a more timely fashion. There were only 2 Alaska reps working trying to help at least 2 cancelled flights that we know about. At one point a 3 rd rep showed up and shortly after one rep left stating she was going on break. There were atleast 50 people still in line. Finally We were rerouted through a different airport adding another stop the next day and given flight confirmation but no seat assignment stating ticket vouchers needed to be attached. We were then told to go to Alaska air luggage to request our fish be put in the freezer. The supervisor at baggage told us the freezer was full and that there was nothing he could do about it. Luckily he walked off and the ladies at the counter made sure our fish was put in the freezer. The following morning we had to be back to baggage to make sure our fish was tagged appropriately to get to our destination on a separate flight. . Both of our return flights we had to take we had to stand in line for the ticket people to try to find our ticket vouchers to attach to the boarding passes we were given. Al together our return took 31 hrs instead of the 12 hrs scheduled.
Our original fluffy was cancelled. Our substitute flight didn't fly. We lost out on our hotel and car rental. Had to fly out the next morning. Alaska didn't give us any meaningful information. The first flight was scheduled to leave at 4pm and the substitute flight at 9pm. We left the airport at midnight for a hotel. No weather. Beyond disappointed.
Did not travel - unexpected medical emergency. Nonrefundable tickets, but Alaska Air sent credit vouchers for the entire amount (very generous, and I didn't expect that). However, I paid for insurance with Kayak's partner company. The 'insurance' might pay for lost baggage, but they referred to the contract in refusing to a dime on the policy. (If you died from a heart attack in the waiting area, I suspect they would claim the right to DENY if your general practitioner had found high blood pressure previously and prescribed daily HTCZ pills - even tiny ones.) They described a policy to deny any claim with even the slightest whiff of pre-existing. I suspect that they probably almost NEVER pay money out on a medical claim, and that their 'local medical assistance' has no coverage either - that it's just an abusive profit center sending gigantic bills while contributing nothing from your 'policy coverage'.
Paid for first class received 3rd class treatment. No WI Fi, no in flight entertainment, noin flight beverage service. Had to go OUTSIDE in rain to board aircraft using a stairway
unfortunately had mechanical issues and had to switch planes. the obnoxious drunk guy in the furthest back seat could have been quieter and not dropped so many f bombs.
I like non stop flights. It was overbooked and I would have taken the offer to give up m seat. Prior obligations prevented that option.
there were four of us flying and two of us offered to gate check out bags since they said it was a full flight. once we boarded my daughter was able to find space in a first class compartment because there wasn't space in any other compartment bc they were SOOOO small... but the first class passenger was so uptight about his jacket being in the same space as her carry on they made her check her bag. there are no charging ports and no outlets to charge any device so be sure to have electronics fully charged. out of our two flights this was the one that had snacks- the one on the way back did not.
We had a very good experience on Alaska Airlines. Everything ran like clockwork . I was pleasantly surprised that we were on time and this was the worst time to fly - Thanksgiving
Flight was delayed, full flight and I had to change gates. Southwest flights are always late later in the day.
there were two flight attendants that were up front...that were the best! They get KUDOs for making my trip only fantastic. Tell them Jeff said that!
Was fine, delayed and feels like southwest is always late
Very smooth checking in our luggage with a super pleasant SW agent. I enjoyed a fun entertaining movie.
They sent us to an airport way out of our way because they canceled our flight with no reason
I love no assigned seats and bags fly free. If Private Equity gets their way and forces Southwest to change they will be everyone else and I will stop being loyal to them. DON'T CHANGE YOUR BUSINESS MODEL!!!
Same comment as before. Bad hit damaged in transport. It lost a wheel. Other than that, everything was good!
Any type of entertainment option would be nice. Would like power options for charging devices
Left GEG had the first flight of the morning and couldn’t leave due to broken plane then got redirected on to another flight which then I missed my connecting flight so they rescheduled my connecting flight then that one took off 3 1/2 hours late my 4 1/2 hour day turned into a 12 1/2 hour day
Plane was a little better as it was not a sold out plane so it was slightly better to sit in the seats but they are making the seats smaller and smaller
The Honolulu Hub needs 2 to 3 times the amount of things to do as well as shuttles that transport to/from gates and terminals. Arriving from OCONUS locations; transferring to CONUS locations its a miserable experience. Fetching and re-checking bags, then returning to a gate across the airport take longer than any other large airport. If youre confused by what I mean, the process goes like this: Disembark plane Walk a mile to the main terminal Walk half a mile to baggage claim Wait 40 minutes for baggage Walk a mile to re-check-in baggage Wait 20 minutes for checking in those bags Fo back through the wrong TSA line because the signage is poor Almost miss the connecting flight because your gate is across the airport.
My flight was delayed three hours and then cancelled. The gate agent proceeded to rebook me in a middle seat without telling me and I was placed between two large individuals who did not fit in their own seats and instead took up most of mine. It was an awful experience.
Kayak sold me a ticket after check in time. Could not check in. Could not get on flight.
Boarding was fine, but once on we waited for 45 minutes to take off. This caused me to almost miss my connection. Once the second flight was boarded we waited again for 20-30 minutes to take off.
I did not board neither one of my flights because It got delayed and I had to be at my destination at a certain time
Alaska airlines was great, Kayak not so great. I couldn’t get my boarding passes and I was last to board. Will not use Kayak again, ever!
Love that as soon as you get on you are seeing and hearing Hawaii. Was glad to hear that they are stressing safety over the pressure to arrive on time.
Maria and her partner In SLO are phenomal! Great customer service!
It was great! Everything went smoothly. Nice seats, good food, great service. Will definitely fly with them again.
Having movies helps past time I wish going Vegas had something
