The flight was late due to maintenance and caused us to miss our connecting flight to Chicago. American Airlines customer assistance at the airport was absolutely terrible. They were rude and inconsiderate as they kept suggesting to fly standby. We shouldn't have to fly standby when it wasn't our fault why were late. They told us our bags would be ok going to Chicago and they we would make the flight, but we did not. I do not know why didn't wait for us considering there were 8 others that also missed the connecting flight. We had to fly to Denver and stay overnight with no luggage and catch a 7:00am flight to Chicago. The last surprise I received was my damaged bag when I got back to Chicago. Thank you for making this trip memorable in a terrible way. I will never book or recommend Kayak or use American Airlines again.

Was told carry on needed to be checked because there wasn't any more overhead room for my 9X14X16. So then I had to dig through it at the gate to remove lithium batteries and it took an additional 20+ minutes at MSP to get to baggage claim/wait/claim bag. There was plenty of room in overhead storage for my bag.

Security was great! No hassle and quick. Boarding was on time and fast.

Plane was small and cramped. The snack packs of pretzels and things is not very good, it doesn't taste the best and is not healthy for anyone. Had to gate check my one item. Very cold in the cabin even after two hours in flight.

When I attempted to check in for flights using the United app both outgoing and return, I found boarding passes were not available for all flights and had to call United to have reservation adjusted so boarding passes could be issued. Don't know why? but inconvenient.

The experience was bad all around. The flight crew was understanding and sympathetic to the situation but offered no concern.

The gate agent was not helpful when my flight was running late and was going to miss my connection in Chicago. 10 mins is not enough time to taxi to the gate unload and get to my next flight. The doors close 10 mins before even if it was the next gate the door would have been shut. Had to reschedule flight for not the same day or the next day but two days later! During flight my inflight drink was evening coffee and tasted old as if it had been sitting for a while. Was sat next to a sick ER nurse who was coughing and sneezing in and around the open cup. I was sick for 8 and half days following the flight.

Baggage Claim was very disorganized. They indicated bags were to be picked up at a carousel that was under construction. When we went to the service desk, they directed us to another carousel which was incorrect. There was no announcement made and there was a delay in updating the baggage claim board.

The overhead bin did not stay down low enough so that I could place my bag in. It would lower then before I could place my bag raise slightly by a few inches. For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process.

We had a newer plane. I LOVED that the seatbelts had a little more room, and also that each seat had it down screen. I really enjoyed the new pre-flight video; it was entertaining and I appreciated that it allowed the crew to get ready, rather than demonstrate a seatbelt for us.

I am not sure how boarding groups work, but I will never understand why we don't board from the back of the plane to the front. People waiting and trying to load luggage or climb over others makes the pre-flight more stressful than it needs to be. (This is obviously not specific to you airline.)

The experience was bad all around. The flight crew was understanding and sympathetic to the situation but offered no concern.

The gate agent was not helpful when my flight was running late and was going to miss my connection in Chicago. 10 mins is not enough time to taxi to the gate unload and get to my next flight. The doors close 10 mins before even if it was the next gate the door would have been shut. Had to reschedule flight for not the same day or the next day but two days later! During flight my inflight drink was evening coffee and tasted old as if it had been sitting for a while. Was sat next to a sick ER nurse who was coughing and sneezing in and around the open cup. I was sick for 8 and half days following the flight.

The overhead bin did not stay down low enough so that I could place my bag in. It would lower then before I could place my bag raise slightly by a few inches. For someone of my height (5’5”) that was problematic. Fortunately another passenger saw my dilemma and held the bin lower to its full opening capacity. This also momentarily slowed down the boarding process.

When I attempted to check in for flights using the United app both outgoing and return, I found boarding passes were not available for all flights and had to call United to have reservation adjusted so boarding passes could be issued. Don't know why? but inconvenient.

Terrible customer service both on the phone before the flight, but Especially from the gate agent. Wow she was really horrible.

The flight attendants on board were good! They helped get everything straight. Easily could have been handled by the incompetent gate agent. Wow.

I never got to Cabo. It took 2 hours for Delta to de-ice the plane in Milwaukee. Because of the long delay we missed the flight to Cabo. We asked Delta to book us on another flight to get us to Cabo today, Delta reps said nothing was available. Delta gave us a discounted coupon for a hotel in Atlanta and rebooked us on a flight to Cabo tomorrow.
