Guatemala reopened Guatemala International Airport on September 18.
Travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. Children under the of age 10 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 PCR-RT test result.
Travelers must complete a Health Pass form 24 hours prior to arrival. This will generate a QR code, which must be presented upon arrival, together with the negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
Foreign nationals, who are not legally resident in Guatemala, will not be permitted into Guatemala should they fail to provide a test.
Travelers who are unable to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.
Upon arrival in Guatemala, travelers may be subject to a clinical evaluation. They will be asked to complete an immigration form with the address where they will be staying. Local authorities will provide further instructions about the place where they should complete the quarantine and any other details they should provide upon arrival.

It is worth noting that I was kind and courteous throughout learning this. I didn't take any frustration out on the flight attendants. But I was deeply disappointed. Once one the plane the man in my original seat got an upgrade so I got to sit next to my friend about half way through the flight when she came to tell me about the empty seat when she came to the back of the plane to use the bathroom."

Cons: "Despite stitching when I could and as soon as I could. Lower back buttocks hurt pretty bad half way through the flight. This is a knock on the airline industry and not so much ANA. Comfort levels start diminish when you try to squeeze as many seats as you can into airplane. Especially, for people like me who are at least 6' tall. Also, the food was very meh. This was surprising because all my other experiences with ANA were quite the opposite."

Twenty minute delay for boarding and then additional 40 minute ground delay. Flight scheduled from 11:40 to 2:20 p.m. Onboard the flight attendant came through with the food carte. Were any of the "lunch" items available? "No, we only have snack items on this flight." But it's during lunch time... "It's not a long enough flight." WHO COULD MAKE THIS UP? We declined to complain for fear we would be thrown from the plane. Oh yes, I have 1,800,000 miles on United."

They either checked for free or brought it on and managed to shove it in sideways taking up space that others needed. Some people brought three bags on!!! As a military spouse I feel cheated to have had to pay when others checked in for free at the gate. Not cool United, either let the spouse check in for free or make everyone abide by the so-called rules of one carry on that actually fits into that metal baggage guide. I would like a refund of 50.00 for the baggage fees I paid for this trip."

Then on the food service I wanted to buy food and by the time they got to my aisle they didn't have anything ( just the horrible pretzels) I'm super disappointed with United."

Boarding took a very long time, once we finally started, because there was very little organization and they were taking bags to check once they didn't fit, while people were still getting on the plane. Pros: "United has become the top low service/high cost Airline. I'm 6'3" and Found myself in a position for hours on end where I could not move my legs. Even with the seat in front of me upright my knees would touch it while my butt was fully up against my seat. Offered is a single drink but not even a lousy bag of pretzels. The entertainment is down to direct tv with a menu that is hard to navigate, earplug connections that need you to hold the plug so it will work and no option to pause or start when you want."

The 3 groups of travelers before me took an unusually long time as they could not understand why they were not allowed to get boarding passes. The CS Manager did direct me to an airline that I was able to buy full price ticket from."

Since that time, I have yet to hear any positive feedback from anyone that travels frequently. You seem to pray on people that do not travel often. The ticket that was purchased for this fight was bought by my wife. She was trying to do me a favor. Talk about a language and culture barrier. The individual on the phone was not able to help me out due to their lack of speaking basic English. The trip itself started with a cabin that was disgustingly dirty from the previous flight and yes you WILL get buckled and dimed for everything! Want a Coke? It will cost you 3$. Need a boarding pass? 5$ In fact, to be able to carry on a small average sized suitcase it cost 45$. Seriously! 45$ just to carry on a smal suitcase and that price is just one way! Do yourself a favor and fly with a legacy carrier instead Delta, American, or United). Spirit has horrible customer service, dirty airplanes, and thy will nickle and dime every possible dollar from you! That's all!"

Cons: "I must 1st start by saying that my flight into Tampa from Dallas was incident free. The plane left on time, I felt safe and I was able to get my luggage within a reasonable timeframe. HOWEVER, the flight from Tampa to Dallas was a nightmare! I checked my bag and got to the gate 5 minutes early just to find that the plane had left 10 minutes early, leaving about 10 other people behind! As directed by the gate attendant, I got back on the Tram to talk to the booking agent located where I'd checked my bag. Once there, I inquired on the next flight leaving at 2:13pm. Since it was 1:30 while speaking to the attendant, I expressed my need to get on that plane since it was the last direct flight to Dallas all day. Not only did he tell me I would not make it (I had PLENTY of time and there was NO ONE in the TSA line), I would need to go to Cleveland and THEN to Dallas. Instead of getting home in Dallas at 3:30pm, I didn't get home until 11pm all because the pilot left 10 minutes before the flight was supposed to depart! To add insult to injury, when I arrived in Dallas, I was told to inquire about my luggage with the luggage attendant. I did so, and when I went inside the office & didn't even speak my reason for being in their presence (2 ladies were behind the desk), they asked me to step outside. I did so, and got in line, waiting my turn. Once it was my turn to re-enter the office, I explained my situation and what my luggage looked like. One just stared at me like they had no idea why I was speaking with them and the other seemed annoyed that they were having to get out of their chair to go to the back part of the office (it was RIGHT behind her and the size of a broom closet). They then let me know that they do not have it in the office and that I'll need to go back out the luggage carousel to see if it came in on my flight. HIGHLY frustrated at this point, I calmly explained that I was told it had made it on the flight that I'd missed that morning and that it would be in their office. They worked there, so, I did ask they asked and watched for it to come in on the carousel. 20 minutes later and almost midnight, I watched as bag after bag after bag was picked up until only one bag was left (not mine), making the round on the carousel alone. My ride was outside waiting for me and I had to wait, just like they'd instructed. In my mind, they work there and they would know. Literally, a minute before midnight, one of the luggage claim workers came out of their office and advised me to come into their office because they didn't think my bag was coming in on the carousel. NO KIDDING?! Anyways, they had me come in and fill out an incident report for lost luggage. I finally received my luggage 2 days later only after my mother had to contact the president of Spirit Airlines and I myself, multiple calls."

The flight was overbooked n last minute it wasn't, I assure you it was because next to me n a few around me should have purchased either larger seat or 2 seats it was very uncomfortable...... It happens I know"
Pros: "I like the low fares of course and the immediate assurance that the return flight could be freely reimbursed without penalty within 24 hours. This assurance was extremely important because if it wasn't there, I would never take Spirit Airlines again. Too often, some of the steps seem like little payment traps rather than options in good faith meant to give control over costs to the consumer."
Cons: "In the on-line check in, since it was my first time, I was taken aback by the portion for choosing seats. It gave me the impression that I had to buy a seat otherwise I wouldn't have one on the flight. I don't like these tricks plain and simple. Just ask people if they want to pay for seat choice or not. As simple as that."
Pros: "I liked very much that there was a Spirit airlines agent there personally to escort us from our domestic flight to this next international flight because it was foreseen that the time between the flights was too short. I also liked that this agent continued to stay around making sure people got through security in a less stressful and timely way so that they would not miss their flight. This was of very critical importance to relieve the stress and also complete the very much needed thorough security check."

If I, a male, was pressed to be able to go through all that transfer and security and barely have enough time to make that bathroom stop before the next flight which I was able to board as the last person in the regular boarding, I can't imagine what it is like for the ladies."
