Pros: The flight attendants are the most professional and attentive employees I've ever had the pleasure to be served by.

Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore.

The one that was suppose to fly out at 12:50 on 1/6/18 delayed until 17:25 (with acceptable communication the first delay) but then later delayed till 00:10 after I’ve already arrived at the airport early for the 17:25 departure. The screens with arrivals and departures posted that Checkin was open but there was no JAL staff to answer questions. Then getting an update “maybe” the 00:10 flight is cancelled? What is maybe cancelled and JALs phone messege still said the flight would depart at 00:10. So I go back to JFK because after all “maybe” isnt a definitive and according to all the direct JAL sources the flight is suppose to depart, I get to JFK the second time only to be given a printout saying the flight is cancelled with no rebooking, and to call for assistance. The same number is been calling for hours trying to get answers. coukdnt reschedules because I’m calling outside of business hours! I spent $200 on cab rides going back and forth to JFK to go nowhere, get no apology, no new flight booking, and no reimbursement for transportation.

Cons: This is a kayak feedback - I thought I bought a cathay/jal flight. Well I was out of luck when I tried to fix situation. Broker in between introduce by website made it impossible to rebook flight in practice. Those website are very practical to look for flights but unless they give you the company direct you are better off switching to company site and book it there. Broker not equipped to be of any help.

Pros: The majority of the crew had facials that made me feel like I shouldn't talk to them. The food wasn't the best but that was expected. There was movies and shows that kept me entertained for a while. Seats are normal couldn't walk or get up often because of turbulence.

Pros: Very efficient boarding. Using two doors and a twin aisle plane made boarding very efficient despite the size of the plane and the number of people. Free WiFi worked surprisingly well - I was able to make a video call to my family. The plane was clean and tidy . Not really much more to say as it was a very short flight.

Pros: I enjoy the comfort food as it was helpful to be a little before landing in Honolulu and trying out local food. Then the crew was great and can't complain there. Although it is perfect to fly to Honolulu direct without any layovers.

And also when we landed in Honolulu, it was a little rough plus one of the overhead compartments came falling down and felt like there was a big turbulence or something. It was a little scary.

Cons: The seats recline so far that the headrest screen ended up way too close to comfortably watch movies or effectively use the tray. The people in front of my wife and I kept their seats fully reclined, even during the meals, and it was very uncomfortable. One of the meals had a pepper sauce that had such a strong smell that I was nauseous until the end of the flight. While the chicken meal I ate was fine, there wasn't much chicken at all.
Pros: Loved how the ride was dead so I was able to get a whole row to myself and stretch out. Food was excellent! Flight attendants were very nice!

We over 90 minutes for in-person assistance, only to be directed to a telephone to re-book our flight. We missed an entire day of our trip to Japan. Cons: Our flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours at Narita and then again in Toronto for another 2 hours. Plus my family and I were tired from the 11 1/2 hour flight and when we get to check in the attendants were very rude, almost like it was a bother to them when we asked for help, it was probably because I interrupted their conversation. Every airports kiosks are different and that was our first time going through there so we just wanted to make sure that we did it right. Then when we get to the gate where we're suppose to leave out from, I asl the attendant there who I can talk to about forgotten bag on board. She then goes to tell me that I need to call the 800 #, Abd I said but I'm here at the airport can't they just bring it to this gate and she then got an attitude and said that they couldn't do that and I would just have to go to the lost and found which was downstairs. I was on the line with lost and found before I went to ask her any questions, and I mentioned to her that I had been on hold for 30 minutes, and she said they weren't going to answer. So I then asked hire am I suppose to get my bag then? She repeated about calling the 800 #, and at this time a lady runs up the counter thinking that she missed her flight. She shows the attendant her phone and is hysterical thinking that she missed her flight and the flight attendant told her just go sit down it's not here yet you didn't miss it. The customer then starts yelling in another language and the flight attendant just tells your just go sit down calm down and go sit down. She's doing all of this while I'm standing there she pulls out her phone and then told her co-worker I should put her on YouTube the way they do us. All the while I'm standing there because I still have more questions and she just ignored me like I wasn't even standing there. I more than likely will never fly this airline again, I'm paying for their services and to get treated like this, no thanks!!

Cons: The only bathroom was locked for landing, which I understand is a policy, however a woman sitting next to me REALLY had to go, and being at the back of the plane while everyone was leaving, could not go ask for it to be unlocked. I felt bad for her... Also, it was not clearly written or easy to understand where our gate was at Cleveland Hopkins. It was a small flight, but it could have been clearer.

Pros: The Air Canada staff in Austin was wonderful. The flights from Ottawa to Toronto and back were fine.
Cons: Problems that were, to be sure, not entirely the airline's fault. The trip from Toronto to Austin was delayed because someone had taken the flight attendant's bag from the overhead. We had to wait until either the bag was recovered or a new flight attendant was brought in. On the return flight, the first officer had ruptured her eardrum, and the plane could not leave Austin until a new pilot was flown in from Toronto. It took hours for the airline to arrange for hotel rooms. The airline then offered vouchers when we arrived in Toronto, but their representative brought enough for only about 2/3 of the passengers.

Cons: We waited nearly two hours AFTER WE BOARDED THE PLANE for a flat tire to be changed, or so we were told. In typical airline fashion, we were told several times that the delay would probably take about 15 minutes, turning into nearly 2 hours. In combination with the change I described above and the 9.5 hour flight to Tokyo, we were completely done in for 2-3 days after we got to Tokyo.
Pros: As a 6'5" guy, I was worried about spending ten hours on a plane. Air Canada made the flight enjoyable with comfortable seats (even in the economy class) and high quality flight attendants.

A male flight attendant proceeded to chat with a woman about hockey for a half hour or more and ignored my light. He went away for a bit and came back and chatted some more. For the last 3 plus hours of the flight my screen didn't work.
