Pros: "At the wrong gate for a while they saint change it on the monitors I was on the other end I keep hearing my location on the intercom, but the monitor stated I was at the correct gate."

Cons: "We ran into a combination of traffic, parking, and other issues that drove us to arrive at our check-in at 7pm for a 7:40pm flight. We were not able to check-in given the 45 min rule. NO WHERE in our email did it say there was this rule nor were we prompted or told to check-in prior to our flight online. There's no suncountry app for check-in that we could find (only a visa one). We booked through priceline.The flight hadn't even started boarding and we were not allowed to check-in. We were re-booked on a flight that left two hours later, but that flight was delayed 3 hours. The whole thing essentially took one full night of paid hotel and fun in Vegas away costing us over $200 just in hotel plus we spent an extra 5 hours in an airport that didn't have a bar open past 9pm."

Note: Spirit always accepted this same carry-on for many flights over the years, but didn't on this same trip to my location. ( This Sun Country trip was on the return flight. )"

They really did make up for the bummer that the 5 hour delivery caused. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even let us go sit in the first class seats which were very comfortable"

Pros: "Minnesota was beautiful this time of year! The flight itself was typical, similar to flying Southwest. Boarding moved. The crew were average, nothing above and beyond. Overall decent flight, but then we got diverted. Some positive shout outs to those who worked to make an unfortunate event better: Texas Aero Services and the 20 year olds at the desk were given a challenging and difficult situation which they would not be expected to prepare for and did a decent job. It was a tough spot for them and what Sun Country did to them was extremely unfair and unprofessional. These young men gave credit to the dispatcher at Sun Country who attempted to call up to the CEO, unfortunately he was not empowered enough to take care of the situation. Several star players here, but the team failed. Thanks to Waco Police and the staff at Whataburger for spinning up hundreds of meals in short order beyond the midnight hour. Thanks to KWTX, WFAA, KARE for picking up this story. Finally, to my fellow passengers, I'm sorry we all had to go through this, but to those who were kind, helping, and shed light on this event, thank you. God bless!"
Cons: "Our flight, Sun Country 550 from MSP to DFW diverted to Waco, TX. While unfortunate weather diverts happen, the airline failed to own the situation. The airline was ad hoc and did not have a plan to take care and comfort customers in an unfortunate event. With the lack of communication, I am concerned how this airline would respond in an elevated scenario. The pilot told us we had the option to deplane. After he stepped off, the flight attendant provided conflicting direction that we would all deplane and there was no option to deplane confusing passengers (crew coordination, who's in charge?). Maybe an hour later the plane and crew take off leaving all 150+ pax at what was essentially a closed terminal. Sun Country left no representation on the scene. (lack of leadership and communication). Local law enforcement and the general aviation terminal staff picked up where they could. Sun Country made valid statements with respect to FAA/TSA regulations, but they also blamed the local shuttle company for "not cooperating". The company repeatedly deflected ownership. With regards to ground transportation, we expected that it would arrive within a reasonable time (30 minutes) after deplaning. That turned into hours. I understand bus drivers have a certain fee for getting out of bed at 2AM. Sun Country, as some of us were getting a little stir crazy, I was able to call a local 24/7 hour limo service. They could be at the terminals in short order. For $750, we would get 1 limo, 22 pax from Waco to DFW. Speaking with them, moving 150 people was fairly simple. Sun Country, please try harder. For your new CEO, study this incident and you can see what you need to fix at your company. The most tragic thing I witnessed was a pregnant mother, with lap child experiencing morning sickness in front of everyone at the terminal. What angers me is no one from Sun Country was there to see or comfort her. Those people were in bed or unavailable. There were multiple failures here. In hindsight, it may have been better if the pilot refused Waco and requested Austin where there would have been TSA staff, a standby crew, or more reasonable accommodations. Sun Country could have some contingency contracts with local ground transit companies. There's a lot this airline can take in from this experience to improve themselves, let's hope they do. I would like some consideration for this terrible experience and if this airline cares about its image it should reach out to all flight passengers to apologize and get their feedback to so they don't muck it up again."

Cons: "I booked the flight because my previous flight (Spirit airlines) was cancelled very last minute. I booked this flight and then was informed that it was delayed more than 3 hours. I was unable to work with another delay and was forced to cancel this flight within hours of booking it. I was charged $15 to cancel the flight. So I paid for a flight that was sold to me and not on time and then charged for cancelling it within hours. This was incredibly disappointing."

Cons: "Cabin temperature was too warm for the entire flight, I asked the flight attendant to adjust the temperature lower. The temperature remained the same, seatmates were also complaining. We cannot remove clothing when hot but can add clothing or blankets when cold."

We fly AA ALOT for ourselves and other. WCB4350 Shipman. We don’t complain ever. But when you spend what we do and only just get your first drink with your dinner in the air is utterly ridiculous. Never got a clean up or a second drink. Had to interrupt the glam squad from their phones and make up bringing them our dirty glasses and trash asking for a second drink. Not impressed with this crew at all! Normally AA IS TOP KNOTCH. So it sets the standard that we’ve been accustomed to however complete and total letdown on this flight"

Well, 2 weeks before the flight, my friend said, don’t get a rental car, I will have my car. So I cancelled and only then did I find out that once I booked it through their site I could not get a refund for the car and I could only get a voucher for use on one of their flights! And only after they take out any fees and costs that was accrued! So angry!"

In the event of extreme turbulence (or worse), all those personal items would be flying around the cabin."

Cons: "Allegiant 468 7/27 4 1/2 hour delay on flight 569 on 7/27 and not a single person on the ground or plane even said sorry. Allegiant also failed to update the revised departure time. Allegiant posted an initial delay of 30 minunutes but then, when there was a further 2 hour delay due to a problem with the plane in Vegas Allegiant didn't update the time. (G4 568 was showing a two hour delay, with a 1010 arrival into STS but Allegiant never updated the departure time for 569 to reflect the additional two hour delay.) It wasn't until I called that it got updated and when I called I had to point out that the airplane hadn't even left Vegas and Allegiant was still showing an 8:50 departure time. It also took the reservation agent over 20 minutes to get any information about what was going on. Lastly each and every time I call I was on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes before being able to speak to a person"

They charge you to print out your boarding pass. They don't even send the boarding pass through email, you have to download the app. Overall horrible customer service. When call for customer service you can't even get a human representative. I missed my flight and they didn't even have another flight to to accommodate me to get to my destination and no one at the front desk to talk to."

Cons: "There's a new terminal at the Austin airport that I didn't know about. Only way to get there was on a shuttle that added 25 minutes to my wait/drive time. Would have arrived earlier if I knew about the addition. Luckily, security was quick. $40 for a carry-on backpack is a little steep."

For carry on items Frontier charges 60$(!) We were two passengers with each allowed a carry on item. After paying for our 2 bags, we were about to board when the lady at the boarding gate insisted on having us pay for our carry on ( whilst they clearly say one carry on item per person ). We were threatened with being kicked off the flight if we didn't pay for the carry on. Other passengers were also subjected to this behaviour. Never flying Frontier again. Rude boarding attendant, and a rip off baggage policy."

Cons: "Our flight from Houston to Vegas was delayed for four hours. Once we got to the airport, Spirit informed us that they were tacking on an additional hours worth of delay for a grand total of five hours. I asked if we could be moved to another airline and the guest services person looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and had no concept of what it was I was requesting. The terminal area around Spirit was filthy. It stood out just how unkempt the area was at our gate. Can’t blame this solely on Spirit but it definitely left an impression. Finally boarded after five plus hours and once on, that’s when I realized leg room was not really a thing on Spirit. I was literally sitting spread eagle because if I tried to sit straight, my knees would then be digging into the person in front of me. That wasnt an issue for the screaming children behind me, however. They had absolutely no problem karate choopin’ my chair for pretty much the entire three hour flight. The one bright spot was the crew, they were great but not enough to offset the overall experience which was thoroughly miserable."

Spirit doesn’t take them seriously and obviously the airport doesn’t either"

Pros: "On Flt. #193 on 12/28/16, We had a Stewardess named Crystal (Employee #69428). She was absolutely awesome. She was friendly, funny and just an all around neat person. She made the flight very enjoyable. If I fly again, I hope Crystal is working my Flight. This flight back to Seattle was much better than going to Houston as I had and e/exit, isle seat. Going to Houston from Seattle, if there would have been an emergency I would have been screwed as I was crammed into a sardine can."
Cons: "On the way to Houston from Seattle, (Flt 290) w/layover in Las Vegas I swore I'd never fly Spirit again. I'm tall and was crammed into a seat with negative legroom. I could hardly get in and out of my seat. I'm not fat but tall. While in Houston I tried to get a seat with more legroom via your website.Your website is a total DISASTER. I tried repeatedly to get response, was told password was wrong. Then screen name was wrong. I spent an hour there and finally said "screw this" and called. I was on hold for 40 minutes before I spoke with someone. This person was lost as what to do. I asked for an isle seat with legroom. None available. Finally got one. More training needed. Frustrating!!"

Cons: "Jesus. I thought I was a sardine. I've traveled extensively for the last twenty years domestic and international. Leg space was so small my knees were up against the seat in front of me firmly and the back of the seat in front of me uncomfortably close to my face. I'm 6'2. I will never fly with them again unless paying for an Emergency Row upgrade makes sense versus other carriers."

Cons: "From the booking process 5 months ago trying to fix an incorrect date I put in (had to cancel and rebook) English was not understandable. To their online problems. Couldn't get online to save paying an outrageous fee for luggage and online booking. Met with the standard go online and complain ? Rude unresponsive employees that garble off phrases so often and so fast as to be incomprehensible. Misinformation by the flight crew as to where the luggage would be. Smallest cramped seats I've ever been in. NEVER AGAIN. (this is not like me, I'm usually very easy going)"

I travel for business and always check in online to save valuable time and do not generally arrive two hours early to make domestic flights. I waited inline to an electronic kiosk to print my boarding pass (as I had already checked in and had no bags) and it printed a notice saying that I had to check with an agent."

I would not feel comfortable relying on this airline if there are connecting flights involved. However, if you have a direct flight and are flexible with your time, you will not find a lower price."

Next, they switched the gate last minute and confused everyone. Then it was delayed an hour (one thing after another). They offer no complimentary beverages and the seats don't recline, either. It's not very comfortable. On the returning flight , they canceled the flight last minute. I am done!!"

Cons: "Spirit closes the gate 25 mins prior to departure, post wrong time at boarding gates, email confirmation says flight on time, and I have a confirmed seat boarding pass and I cannot board the flight even tough I am at the gate 25 mins prior to actual departure. My previous experience is the flights is 90 mins late from Chicago and wait 30 mins on taxiway at Houston. Lesson learned: Fool me once shame on you Fool me twice shame on me. I am a fool to have not learnt the first time, wont ever happen again."
