Cons: "The middle seat"
Pros: "-Friendly service -Comfortable flight"
Cons: "-Delayed takeoff -Delayed arrival"
Cons: "I asked if I could sit in an empty row after take off and was told no because that's for the crew. Passenger seats do not get reserved for crew who want to chill out and eat and drink. It was empty and I simply wanted to rest against the window and nap."
Cons: "They lost my luggage."
Cons: "It was disgustingly dirty. They have striped down all perks, which is fine... it should make it easier to maintain... so maintain the plane! Gross! And what a horrible landing! Perfect weather and I nearly lost my lunch! We fly frequently and thought we would give this a try. Big mistake!"
Pros: "They charged me $60 for one small carry on bag, and I will never book any flight from Frontier anymore."
Cons: "Everything about then I disliked."
Cons: "at 4:30 pm I had a text alert that the flight was delayed by 8 hours yet there was nothing done to replace crew who were going over their max hours. The pilot and both stewardess told different stories. At 1 am in the morning they claimed they were looking for replacements. It is bad enough having a flight canceled and having to drive 840 miles or wait up to 2 days to be rescheduled....but to have blatant lies told was even worse. Then cancel due to weather...when that was not the case..so baggage fees cannot be refunded. The baggage fees were almost as much as the airfare."
Cons: "Hidden seat fee at the time check in (but overall reasonable price) Not knowing about the mobile app, so I didn't have to print my boarding pass"
Pros: "Frontier is the new Bus ride in the Sky! Affordable $33 one way from Houston to Vegas, Non-stop! No frills. Be sure to only bring ONE bag/back pack/big purse so you WON'T GET charged for bringing a carry-on on board. Bring your own water and food if you want something to drink or eat. Otherwise, there is a fee. Seats and plane were very clean. Just plan accordingly and then go and enjoy your AFFORDABLE Bus ride in the Sky!"
Pros: "THIS trip was okay."
Cons: "This was supposed to be a round trip ticket. My original flight from Las Vegas to Houston was delayed and delayed and then finally cancelled. I was checking your app religiously and it wasn't until BOARDING ( 12:20 in the morning) that it said the flight had cancelled. Your employees just ignored me when I went to the front desk to ask what I was supposed to do. They finally took notice of me and said the best they could do was TWO days later. I don't live in Vegas so I asked where I was supposed to stay and they said they couldn't help me with that. You were going to let me sleep in an airport for two days! I asked what I was supposed to do about food and you said you'd email me a food voucher (you didn't) and you said you would email me a 200 dollar voucher for my next flight (which you didn't)! I had to find someone to help me buy a different flight on a different airline because of how UNhelpful you all were. The most disappointing and absolutely terrible traveling experience I've ever had. I don't know when or if I will ever fly with you again."
Pros: "Friendly staff & great landing."
Cons: "I'm on my way back to Houston now & my plane is one hour delayed."
Cons: "Flight was delayed both going and coming back, both times blamed on Denver... seats were not particularly comfortable and only 1st 3 rows were reclinable... no entertainment, pay for everything except cup of ice, but it was an economy flight... crew was okay both ways... boarding not bad, but should allow 1. handicapped 2. veterans and 3. passengers without carry-on luggage to board and exit first"
Pros: "The price except having to pay $80 each way for checked baggage"
Cons: "Extra charge for a soda no cash accepted didn't see putting $1.99 on a credit card....no peanuts or comp snacks available...once we landed the ramp wasn't lined up so we waited a while but then they lost power on the plane and it was really hot"
Cons: "Airport security was terrible."
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "Seats very uncomfortable."
Pros: "cheapest fare I could find for last minute weekend trip to Las Vegas"
Cons: "seats dont recline. very uncomfortable. no entertainment. extra charge for carry on (you will charge me to carry my own bag?) I am not checking it in. flight was delayed (last flight out of houston)"
Cons: "My flight was cancelled."
Cons: "You could not adjust the seat backs, stuck in the upright and locked position for 4 hours. Tight leg room. Would not do it again."
Pros: "Crew was friendly."
Cons: "No free sodas nor peanuts."
Pros: "Text message notifications of flight delay, considering my flight was delayed multiple times, quickness of boarding, and short wait times at the ticket counter"
Cons: "The carry on baggage fee that I was informed of as I was boarding, causing delay to other passengers while other guests and myself are waiting to pay for a bag, or forced to throw items away. There is no reason for a carry on bag the size of a backpack to cost $30. I understand most airlines have started charging these fees now, but it is ridiculous to get to the airport and have to pay for every bag. I can buy a flight for $54 and end up paying twice that much just in baggage fees. Also why do the room in the seats seem to get smaller every time, no headrest, and I can barely fit a book on my tray table. A few money saving techniques male the flight that much less comfortable"
Pros: "Not much to like about being late, choppy air and a terrible flight crew"
Pros: "What did you like? nothing"
Cons: "What didn't you like? everything"
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Cons: "No entertainment on the plane, maybe add TVs"
Pros: "I like the on-time flight and professional pilot and crew."
Cons: "I didn't like that the airplanes did not have reclining seats in coach section. I also was surprised to get luggage charges in both directions."
Pros: "The crew was great and the flight was smooth"
Cons: "The seating was a bit tight"
Pros: "Good Service in a general."
Cons: "As a continuous improvement: Cleanliness into the plane need to be improve :(. Trash under the seat and aisles was observed."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding"
Cons: "had to pay for both baggage check...and carry on.....little to much!!!!!.....but overall it was a good experience ...."
Cons: "Two hours late"
Pros: "It was cheap. Overhead compartments were quite roomy."
Cons: "It was probably the most uncomfortable flight I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. The seats were like wooden benches and didn't recline. The tray is only half the size of the standard. I'm pretty sure it's going to take a few sessions with a chiropractor to fix the abuse to my spine."
Cons: "We were at the Houston airport almost 3 hours before flight time, but no one was at the ticket counter. 45 minutes later the ticket agent arrived then told (not asked) us to move aside so they could check in passengers on an earlier flight. I completely understand the earlier flight thing, but common courtesy goes a long way! The gate agent was quite curt in his attempts to board people by boarding groups. The flight crew was tired, bored and just doing a job. Frontier will not be at the top of the list for future flights."
Pros: "I like the face that the crew was very polite and kept asking if you needed anything. The air craft was very clean as well."
Cons: "There was no space to do anything. Those were the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in and I fly probably once or twice a month. They need to be able to recline. I think that would solve a lot of issues as well. Further more the face that I had to pay for my seats and carry on and was not told about it on the front end when I booked my flight was pretty aggravating. The last thing someone wants to do is pay more money to an airline after buying tickets."
Cons: "Buying for your seat and carry on bags, by time you add those charges I could have brought a cheaper ticket on Southwest with the bags included."
Pros: "Low price"
Cons: "Reading light did not work!! Very inconvenient for a long flight at night."
Cons: "The plan is extremly small. No wifi or entertainment"
Pros: "It was 80+ degrees on the flight. Ridiculous, especially with limited leg/shoulder space. Absolutely miserable. Worst flight of my 28 yr old life."
Pros: "Good fare!"
Cons: "Very slow check in process. Only 2 agents,Long line. Wish you could get a seat online without having to pay, then I would not have been standing in that long check in line. Wish they still gave out warm chocolate chip cookies. Miss the old Frontier..."
Pros: "Staff was friendly"
Cons: "Plane was late."
Pros: "First time and I was pleased to fly this carrier"
Pros: "One of the worst landing I have ever experienced. The pilot pancaked the landing. Everything else went as expected. The seats were uncomfortable and small. The staff was super nice. Everything else went as expected."
Cons: "Lots of delays"
Cons: "carr y on 70 $"
Cons: "The whole process was bad... from checking in my bags to getting off the plane. The staff was somewhat rude, everything costs money, and the pilot flew like it was his first time."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Our flight from Houston to Vegas was delayed for four hours. Once we got to the airport, Spirit informed us that they were tacking on an additional hours worth of delay for a grand total of five hours. I asked if we could be moved to another airline and the guest services person looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and had no concept of what it was I was requesting. The terminal area around Spirit was filthy. It stood out just how unkempt the area was at our gate. Can’t blame this solely on Spirit but it definitely left an impression. Finally boarded after five plus hours and once on, that’s when I realized leg room was not really a thing on Spirit. I was literally sitting spread eagle because if I tried to sit straight, my knees would then be digging into the person in front of me. That wasnt an issue for the screaming children behind me, however. They had absolutely no problem karate choopin’ my chair for pretty much the entire three hour flight. The one bright spot was the crew, they were great but not enough to offset the overall experience which was thoroughly miserable."
Cons: "Wait 10 hrs before bord due to no reason"
Pros: "Excellent and friendly staffs"
Pros: "Excellent pilots and staff"
Cons: "Carry on luggage charge"
Pros: "Landing was decent"
Cons: "I’m still sitting st the gate 30min after landing what a joke of an airline"
Pros: "Departed on time"
Cons: "Hidden fees for everything!! Not even free water on board! They charge for even checking in at the airport! I much rather pay united airlines full fee and get to know my fare than buying this “cheap” fare and get hit with fees for checking a bag, choosing a seat, etc. This “upsale” strategy is low."
Pros: "Well I did get to my destination eventually"
Cons: "After paying $60 per bag, I could have flown a normal airline, set at the airport in the plane for extra 30 minutes waiting to park, the pilot was flying the plane like 6 flags... you would think we were falling out of the sky: these airline are a joke- pay the extra $75 and get service and expertise and timeliness. Spirit doesn’t take them seriously and obviously the airport doesn’t either"
Cons: "The seats aren't comfortable"
Pros: "The employees were very kind and curtious"
Cons: "I felt like cattle, very cramped, and the cost ended up being more than other airlines, even though they promote how much cheaper they are"
Pros: "Nothing to like really. Crew gathered in galley area, eating & drinking. Crew did not attend to passengers who were swinging feet & legs out in the aisle, pick up trash or other."
Cons: "See above.///////////////////////////////////////////"
Pros: "Great Crew! Smooth ride, thank you Pilots"
Cons: "Otragious bag charges, not allowed a carry on!"
Pros: "Quick flight."
Cons: "Pay for bags and additional fee's"
Pros: "The larger plane. Departed on time, arrived on time."
Cons: "No complimentary water, nuts, chips, nothing!"
Pros: "Boarding went smoothly. Departure and arrival were on time."
Cons: "Carry-on price is too high."
Pros: "Quick boarding and on time arrival and actually left early and made it to vegas 15 minutes early"
Cons: "I have no complaints"
Pros: "Everything sucks"
Cons: "The airplane service and delays"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "The plane was booked to capacity and they wanted to take volunteers to not go"
Pros: "Well they chance again for April 14 hope no cancel anymore"
Cons: "They was Cancel I hope April 14 don't happened again"
Cons: "Late Very uncomfortable"
Pros: "I guess the only thing I can say that I like is the staff"
Cons: "The double lines to check in. The extra charge for having the counter associates check in ur bag!!! Really. The charge for a bottle of water . Wow,didn't see that one coming. The air circulation want up to the other air lines. The emergency exist seats didn't recline. I guess I understand but it is what it is. If at all possible, I will not be flying ur airline again. Sorry for the bad review, but u asked for my opinion"
Cons: "They charge for every single bag except your personal bag. Our third checked bag was $100! We ended up paying three times out tickets in bags."
Pros: "Didn't like the delays"
Cons: "Very tricky policies. They charged $45 for a carry-on! then the check on was about $100 because their maximum weight is 10 pounds less than all other airlines! 40lbs instead of 50 lbs just so they can charge extra! ended up paying more for luggage than for the fare! I will never ever, ever use Spirit again!"
Pros: "On Flt. #193 on 12/28/16, We had a Stewardess named Crystal (Employee #69428). She was absolutely awesome. She was friendly, funny and just an all around neat person. She made the flight very enjoyable. If I fly again, I hope Crystal is working my Flight. This flight back to Seattle was much better than going to Houston as I had and e/exit, isle seat. Going to Houston from Seattle, if there would have been an emergency I would have been screwed as I was crammed into a sardine can."
Cons: "On the way to Houston from Seattle, (Flt 290) w/layover in Las Vegas I swore I'd never fly Spirit again. I'm tall and was crammed into a seat with negative legroom. I could hardly get in and out of my seat. I'm not fat but tall. While in Houston I tried to get a seat with more legroom via your website.Your website is a total DISASTER. I tried repeatedly to get response, was told password was wrong. Then screen name was wrong. I spent an hour there and finally said "screw this" and called. I was on hold for 40 minutes before I spoke with someone. This person was lost as what to do. I asked for an isle seat with legroom. None available. Finally got one. More training needed. Frustrating!!"
Pros: "I've read alot of bad things about spirit so I was very nervous to fly with them for the first time but overall it was pretty smooth and nice."
Cons: "sits were a little tight"
Pros: "Decent ticket price, clean aircraft."
Cons: "Jesus. I thought I was a sardine. I've traveled extensively for the last twenty years domestic and international. Leg space was so small my knees were up against the seat in front of me firmly and the back of the seat in front of me uncomfortably close to my face. I'm 6'2. I will never fly with them again unless paying for an Emergency Row upgrade makes sense versus other carriers."
Pros: "It got me from Houston to Las Vegas without killing me . . . that's about it."
Cons: "From the booking process 5 months ago trying to fix an incorrect date I put in (had to cancel and rebook) English was not understandable. To their online problems. Couldn't get online to save paying an outrageous fee for luggage and online booking. Met with the standard go online and complain ? Rude unresponsive employees that garble off phrases so often and so fast as to be incomprehensible. Misinformation by the flight crew as to where the luggage would be. Smallest cramped seats I've ever been in. NEVER AGAIN. (this is not like me, I'm usually very easy going)"
Cons: "Could not find where to pay for bags on line prior to check in. Wt limit of 40 pounds is ridiculous when all other flights are 50 pounds."
Pros: "Smooth ride, ALCOHOL available"
Pros: "That the plane made it to Vegas"
Cons: "Changed arrival gate, then we boarded a plane just got settled and because of a broken fuel cap unboarded and waited another 40 minutes to board another plane . We were suppose to arrival in Las Vegas at 11:48 we arrived at 2:50."
Pros: "The Seats were relatively comfortable and the majority of the staff were generally nice"
Cons: "Not comfortable at all"
Pros: "Never happened. The flight was cancelled. Unable to book another flight on Spirit. Next available flight was three days later. Had to book return flight on another airline. Customer no service was of no help."
Cons: "rverything about this poor excuse and scam airline"
Pros: "I did not get to fly so I don't know."
Cons: "I did not like the fact that all flights for the day were cancelled, making it impossible for me to make it to my first TWO days of school. The booking agent I spoke with said I could get a ticket on another airline for an EXTRA fee. For someone else's mistake. No thank you."
Pros: "Cheap fare."
Cons: "No free drinks. Additional payment for seats."
Pros: "The plane was clean n friendly staff"
Cons: "Airplane not on time"
Pros: "Staff were great!"
Pros: "seats were comfrontable"
Cons: "I don't like that no one is honesty and doesn't tell you what is going on they lie way too much they tell you that the flight was on time when it wasn't they don't pay for your hotel or anything when your flight got canceled due to the weather and are very rude when I was in line to flight for the next day they had me in line for 1hour at the la airport. reya"
Cons: "I checked in online but there was a computer glitch and it never sent me a boarding pass. I travel for business and always check in online to save valuable time and do not generally arrive two hours early to make domestic flights. I waited inline to an electronic kiosk to print my boarding pass (as I had already checked in and had no bags) and it printed a notice saying that I had to check with an agent."
Pros: "Consistent notifications on your itinerary, and there seem to know knowledge of my trip guided me smoothly to And from destinations. I was reminded and updated on flight time and whether or not it was on time. Like as if the pilots themselves were in direct contact with me."
Cons: "The overall care and Hassel free questions were dealt with with ease and professionalism."
Cons: "My flight got cancelled and I got rebooked for the flight next day in the morning. I had to wake up at 2am to get to the airport in time."
Pros: "Cheap fares. Read the website and understand all the applicable charges BEFORE purchasing tickets. Everything costs extra but if you are a saavy traveler, the price cannot be beat. When it's good, it's good. When it's bad.. see below."
Cons: "Long lines to check bags. My last flight had 4 gate changes and 1 hour delay (I cannot verify if this was due to the airline or airport). I would not feel comfortable relying on this airline if there are connecting flights involved. However, if you have a direct flight and are flexible with your time, you will not find a lower price."
Pros: "Dedication to safety"
Pros: "I can't think of anything that was enjoyable except we got there early."
Cons: "I was not pleased that anything over 40 pounds you have to pay extra luggage fee instead of the standard 50. The seats were really uncomfortable. It was so cold on the aircraft, and the whole experience seemed like a shakedown. I will avoid in the future."
Cons: "Services and staff are HORRIBLE."
Cons: "Flight back was cancelled and had to buy a flight with another airline to get home. I will not use kayak.com again"
Pros: "The price is right if you are going somewhere with no luggage. When they canceled the flight they refunded my baggage fee and gave me a $7 meal ticket."
Cons: "Where do I start? First off, they charge you for a carry-on (there goes the cheap price). I paid more to carry a tiny bag than I did for the actual ticket. Next, they switched the gate last minute and confused everyone. Then it was delayed an hour (one thing after another). They offer no complimentary beverages and the seats don't recline, either. It's not very comfortable. On the returning flight , they canceled the flight last minute. I am done!!"
Pros: "Stepping off the plane itself."
Cons: "The hassle it required me to get on. Bad information on behalf of the Houston crew."
Pros: "The agents at the boarding gates were very prompt to give a complete refund, but cannot book another carrier for the same night and only option would be to travel 24 hrs later."
Cons: "Spirit closes the gate 25 mins prior to departure, post wrong time at boarding gates, email confirmation says flight on time, and I have a confirmed seat boarding pass and I cannot board the flight even tough I am at the gate 25 mins prior to actual departure. My previous experience is the flights is 90 mins late from Chicago and wait 30 mins on taxiway at Houston. Lesson learned: Fool me once shame on you Fool me twice shame on me. I am a fool to have not learnt the first time, wont ever happen again."
