Pros: Crew was amazing
Cons: Really enjoy the travel with JAL
Cons: flight didn't even happen
Pros: The seats were comfortable, the plane was empty so could move for comfort
Cons: The food was not very good, the airplane was empty, but assigned seats to fill rows while spouting nonsense about social distancing
Pros: great crew
Cons: better breakfast or snack before arrival
Cons: JAL cabin attendants and people from customer center were very professional and nice
Cons: Needs more variety of movies
Pros: The seats in Economy are larger than normal airlines and had extra leg room. My partner is 6ft2in and he sat comfortable, even when the people in front reclined. The staff was so polite and helpful. I will definitely fly JAL again!
Cons: The food was a little bland, but that is nit picking. For airline food, it was very good.
Pros: Was able to get home toward Los Angeles with delays and change in plane so did not get proper seating as reserved.
Cons: The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great.
Cons: Connection time at Narita is too long
Pros: Simple check in and boarding, right on time.
Pros: Nothing to complaint. Excellent airline nowadays
Pros: Professional and friendly crew. Food was excellent
Cons: Very good airline except for the fact that the staff at Narita airport.
Pros: JAL flight crew were excellent and friendly
Pros: crew was professional, attentive and polite
Cons: Be able to select seats online within 24hours of flight for free
Pros: The food the service and the staff
Pros: The food the service and flight was great
Cons: Food was awful. Huge hassle having to clear immigration pick up bags and check in again in Shanghai.
Pros: Excellent Service, food and beverage. Comfortable aircraft cabin atmosphere.
Cons: in-flight Wifi is not working
Pros: Kind and courteous staff
Cons: A family with 2 kids making noisy and crying nonstop during the flight the father was playing Japanese video games with headphones on and very careless but once in a wile started yelling at Kiks because they distracted him from his entertainment. Grandma next to them was careless too, mother left the kids to father and was sitting 2 rows in the back and they never came at least to try to make them quiet even when the kids started to kik everywhere licluding the food tray and almost breaks it. Unfortunately the staff never came and try to talk to them about this issue Most of the people including several senior citizens looked angry and frustrated.
Pros: It was very good no prO lens at all:)
Pros: Cabin crew were very nice. Food was okay, while the legroom was good too.
Cons: Delayed flight, but the email notification from JL was lacking the most important detail... The new take off time! It was 70 minutes later than advertised, but then delayed by another five minutes on top after a late take off.
Pros: The business class layout was very good. Seats comfortable with excellent cabin staff and the food and its presentation was A+
Cons: Hard to think of something here...possibly better movie selection and having to bus from plane to terminal... But that's about it!
Cons: No space for cabin bags. Late by 2 hours. Super rude and passive aggressive staff. Kept in bus at Frankfurt for 10 mins. Won’t fly BA again if i can help it.
Pros: This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!
Cons: Not applicable
Cons: Double standard
Pros: Really nice crew, the flight was great.
Cons: I think the food made me sick. It could have been the long journey but 1/2 hour after I ate it I felt really sick.
Pros: So cramped. Very uncomfortable flight.
Pros: Great airline, roomy seats and they don't nickle and dime you like other airlines.
Pros: I got an upgrade!
Pros: The crew was friendly, and the view from the window was stunning.
Cons: There wasn't enough leg space; it would be nice if the entertainment system had usb charging available.
Pros: Incredibly nice staff made you forget about the older plane model you are in. Decent airplane meals and the nonstop from San Diego makes Japan now a frequent destination for us! I lucked out with 3 open adjacent seats roundtrip woo hoooo!
Cons: Movie selection was the same on return flight which was a bit of a bummer.
Pros: The food is good. The seats for regular economy are a bit more spacious. They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great.
Cons: Great airline great service. Haihly recommended
Pros: Simply excellent !!!
Cons: Why does the shorter of the two flights have more comfortable seats?
Cons: Leg room
Pros: I was early to check in . But the check in was slow and I. Had to run to my plane ride .. and had no time to shop
Cons: The service was so so and food was lousy
Pros: Everything, from booking till landing
Pros: On the flight home they upgraded me to business class while apologizing my original economy seat was not available. Amazing. I had a rather unsettled stomach so when the food service came I wasn't hungry. I told the flight attendant, and she brought me some very bland easy to eat food without me even asking. She then checked on me constantly to see how I was feeling, and suggested sparkling water. When I deplaned, she checked one more time with me, if they could do anything. I was feeling much better, and give this airline my highest endorsement.
Pros: flying JAL is always a pleasure. The flight attendants are consummately professional and the entertainment system is top notch
Pros: The food was good, which I didn't expect. The crew was kind.
Pros: The good: The food was tasty given we were on an airplane. Better entertainment selection than my AA flight to Japan. I prefer the 3-3-3 seat layout to the 2-5-2 because even though I had a middle seat there was only one person to get past in either direction.
Cons: The bad: The plane was warm. I understand some people get cold, but since blankets are provided I would much prefer a colder plan than a warmer one. The warmth made it hard to sleep, which is a big problem on an overnight flight. JAL does not provide individual air vents to passengers seated where I was. I understand the reason for this, but I wish there was some way to get more comfortable. The seats were standard airline economy seats, roomy enough and with enough legroom for my sub-6-foot frame, but not the most comfortable.
Pros: Japan airport is big and too much shopping needs to be done, and liked the fact that boarding started just 15 minutes before departure which gave me ample amount of time.
Cons: Movie selection wasn't the greatest. The mid-flight meal was a burger instead of the beloved ramen.
Pros: Good solid flight on a relatively comfortable plane
Cons: Narita seems to have had delay problems as of late. What should have been a short flight was extended over 40 minutes on the runway. Not the airline's fault by any means, but I'd recommend looking for flights through Haneda if you're passing through Tokyo.
Pros: Comfortable plane, good service
Cons: I ordered Hindu vegeterian meal while coming to Chicago on phone with Japan Airline I got Asian veg food
Pros: I loved flying JAL! I've flown several times between the US and Korea, and this was the best trip I've taken thus far! It was comfortable, the plane was awesome with high ceilings and it actually felt quite spacious. The entertainment was also perfect with tons of stuff to choose from. The best part, though, was their exemplary customer service! I needed to transport cold insulin, so at the gate counter I checked with the gate agent to see if they could refrigerate my insulin since I had a long travel time to my home destination. She promptly found out for me and talked to the flight attendants and told me they would take care of it when I got to my seat. She even checked to see if I needed a special meal or not after I finding out I was diabetic. They were so kind! They even let me refreeze my cold packs in their freezer before landing so I could keep my insulin cold after we landed. It was a huge help and they seemed genuinely concerned for my well being and what I needed. I will now fly JAL whenever I can!
Pros: no delay
Cons: seat are really getting smaller
Cons: Taipei airport lacks seating in general wait area. There is congestion and slow lines to proceed from there to larger waiting area below.
Pros: The crew was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I am unable to eat dairy products so I choose the vegetarian meal thinking that would be my best option however it had cheese and butter in the food so I couldn't eat most of what was served.
Cons: Good as expected
Pros: Fast travel
Cons: Customer service
Pros: I was trying to make a connection and the crew moved me up to the front to get off the plane faster.
Pros: Seats were really comfortable and find was great
Cons: In flight movies and TV shows we're a bit dated and didn't find any of them very desirable
Cons: Crew at boarding and on flight were not kind. Very disappointing
Pros: Comfortable seats.
Pros: They are all very friendly
Pros: Boarding process and take off was the most efficient - truly impressive! I don’t think this had anything to do with the airline, but every flight with them was so quiet (no crying babies/children, loud adult conversations), I thought I could hear the pin drop! Their safety demonstration was uniquely done by dancer, which made it interesting to watch every time! I left my jacket on one of my flights, but they returned it to me when I boarded the next flight - I was gratefully surprised! They had complementary tooth brush/toothpaste, ear plugs and eye masks in the restrooms. I thought this was a good way to reduce passing out items not all passengers wanted. I wish all airlines could copy these amazing features from them.
Cons: Their meals were underwhelming- in four flights on my trip, they were basically the same main course. The rolls with margarine, same fruit and strongly cultural seasoned vegetables that were served every time, all of which I could not eat. I have liked every airline meals and hospital food, but their food was below institutional food quality. For an Asian airline, the flight attendants were rather crude in their speech and mannerisms. I could barely hear and understand the announcements in spite the fact that passengers were extremely quiet. Their choices of movies were very poor; it seemed that 3 out of 4 flights had similar options.
Pros: Food and service
Pros: Amazing crew and food; clean lavatories throughout the flight
Cons: Need more elbow space; 10 seats across in the economy section really soured the experience
Cons: The economy seat is too cramped!
Cons: First time on Eva air this trip. They did a fine, fine job. Cost was competitive and it was a very comfortable trip.
Cons: Better foods and drinks
Pros: Seat from taipei to jakarta is roomy & comfortable
Cons: The seat from taipei to seattle should be roomier as it relates to longer flight time duration
Cons: I don’t need 3 meals. I need rest. I’d rather we turn out the lights
Cons: Same as above
Cons: Chicken pasta was cold on the returning flight. Flight crew didn’t come by with water that I saw, except before/with meals. Flight was very cold, even with their nice blanket.
Cons: The crew were not very friendly, they went about their tasks but did not engage with the customers in a friendly manner. It was very much as though they were doing the minimum for the job/flight. For instance, when you board and sit down the first thing they give you is the menu and then the landing card. But I've just sat down I don't need these two extra pieces of paper immediately. I sat on an aisle and must have been knocked 5-6 times by the carts. After I was bumped then I hear the 'excuse us, carts coming through'.
Cons: I don’t understand why flights don’t board from the back to the front. People at the back have to get past the ones in front still in the aisles to get to their seats.
Pros: Seats were comfortable, nice blanket and crew members
Cons: The unnecessary checking for boarding pass at the entrance of the plane after just being check at the gate
Pros: Food is good
Pros: Liked the food and overall atmosphere. Stewardesses were great.
Cons: Didn't like the 9 hr & 40 min layover in Taipei.
Pros: Everything is perfect
Pros: Fast and friendly service of the flight crew, The captain keeping us informated of turbulents and flight arrival time.
Cons: Hard to sleep on international flights , especially when they last more then 8 hrs. I like that they are early morning flights . Not sure how to battle jet lag after a long flight. If Eva air could make a video / on board flight video on how to battle jet lag .
Cons: It was a long 9.5 hrs flight! Economy class is okay! Nothing wrong w the airline, its just not comfortable to sit for almost 10 hrs long!
Pros: All the staff were courteous and polite. Bathroom is clean and landing was perfect: it was so quite , I didn’t even know we touch downed.
Cons: Didn’t like PA system: poor quality and pronunciation of English.
Pros: On time departure Attentive crew Good food
Pros: The flight was good, quiet and smooth and we had a lot of legroom on the way to Seattle.
Cons: The serve food was not that great. I wish that they have more options to choose from.
Pros: the staff...very professional and warm...great amenities...food was excellent..very comfortable plane
Cons: had to inquire about cocktail service
Pros: Good food. Lots of movie selections. I like the amenities in the bathroom.
Cons: Less space. No socket to charge phone.
Pros: Eva Air had attendants on the ground pointing us all in the right direction to catch our flights with the minimum delay! Such a Quick turn around I was expecting my luggage wouldn't even make the flight!! But it did!! Also liked their mood lighting to replicate the time of day, since they asked us to keep our shades pulled all the time. Nice restrooms and I appreciated the toothbrush, earplugs and eyeshades they stocked in the restrooms!
Cons: Seats were tight. I usually have food served that will acclimate you to your destination city time zone. Not so with Eva Air. Two dinners instead of a Breakfast.
Pros: Quick boarding, felt like more leg room than usual, polite courteous staff, good movie selection.
Cons: Food was good, but I've had better with other Asian airlines. They served me croissant with breakfast that was so dry, it crumbled all over my lap.
Pros: Attentive crew, clean washrooms, decent chairs, great food, enough entertainment. It was easy to transfer trains in an airport we have never been to.
Pros: Wonderful service, comfortable seating (compared to American airline seats) and attentive and polite crew!
Pros: Great vegetarian options that can be selected in advance. Very kind and courteous staff! Flew Eva to and from Asia and staff consistently exceeded expectations.
Cons: Husband and I got separated for long leg from Taipei to Seattle. Got stuck in between to very large men...impossible to really sleep. The middle seats should cost less.
Pros: Nothing. I find it ridiculous because I find a good deal on a flight I don't get credit for any of the miles!! I fly to Thailand 3-4 times a year and all I want is to get good service and when I have a three hour layover in Taipei to b able to go to the gold card lounge and relax!!
Cons: The seats are too small. There is not enough leg room. Very uncomfortable !!
Pros: i liked the emergency seat because I had more room
Cons: The flight from Seattle to Taiwan was one of the worst flights I ever had. Not only was there no outlet for me to do work, but the 2nd level of the plane was unusually warm and stuff. However flying back from Taiwan to Seattle was not as uncomfortable, it was still annoying to not have an outlet. Also the entertainment screen on those flights were really small. Lastly, the food overall was mediocre, but that was not as big of a deal to me.
Pros: I remember back when i was a kid and my Grandmother took us to Disneyland, back when there was "Service" in the USA. If i can avoid any US carrier, and I will fly with EVA. there is meals on flight, checked bags, carry-on bags, smiles, all without extra fees, charges, and they were least expensive to fly.
Cons: As with all airlines the seats are a little tight and a bit more legroom would be nice, I am a larger man and it was still comfortable even after 18 hours of flight time.
Pros: I became very light-headed during flight and received excellent and compassionate care. Wonderful crew.
Cons: The food is fine but not great
Pros: This was my first time flying Eva. Overall a positive experience. Crew and staff were professional and polite.
Cons: I was a little frustrated when standing in line to check in in Taipei. Only one active agent, a very long line and about six Eva employees chatting in the administrative area.
Pros: No issues with boarding Departed and landed on time Nice blankets
Cons: Food was not good TV/movie options seemed limited Hot tea was very bitter
Cons: I had a strange experience with flight attendants who were obsessed with open and closed Windows (honestly why does it matter?) and was constantly being told to take off headphones which no other airlines make you do anymore. The flight attendants were just overbearing and rude at times.
Pros: The stewardesses were outstanding and really seemed to care how we were treated. Fantastic
Cons: the entertainment from the flight from Taiwan to the Philippines was unsatisfactory in every conceivable way . No choices, no quality and the same for everyone.
Cons: Food service was very slow. Flight from Dubai Seattle did not provide PPE
Pros: Marco was a great crew member, handled the sick child like a pro
Cons: Kid running around bumping into everybody. Impossible to sleep.
Pros: The crew was amazing.
Cons: Free first class upgrades!
Cons: Best airline!
Pros: Good food. Professional crew. and overall good experience for a 15.5 hour flight.
Cons: Again, If you allow people to choose tickets online and they pick the front row, at least don't put them in the back row. That is the opposite of what they requested. After a.long flight and the limited recline, I am very sore in my back. Probably the most uncomfortable flight to date in my travels.
Pros: Amazing crew!! Lots of entertainment options. Food decent. Better than on trip from Seattle to Dubai. Check in Bathrooms kept clean on long flight We were encouraged to walk around
Cons: Boarding cumbersome We left Dubai late and arrived Seattle late. It was a little g flight already and the extra seat time of the delay was difficult.
Pros: I am so glad to choose you guys thank you for everything
Pros: The crew good except one man i guess from India
Cons: The food was not good at all
Pros: Food was phenomenal. Unbelievably good.
Cons: Paid EXTRA for "Twin Seats". The bar in between seats didnt move. VERY uncomfortable for a 14 hour flight. People on that plane were like ANIMALS. Standing on the toilet seats, water all over the floor of the bathroom, out of toilet paper at 7 hours in. Disgusting. Never again.
Pros: Very professional and helpful crew. Great entertainment.
Cons: Seats in economy a little cramped. Better to fly their A-380 double decker as more space.
Pros: Crew was amazing. There is always someone from emirates around to help.
Cons: Little more room on a 14 1/2 hour flight would be nice
Pros: Great crew, especially Emma from the US and Amanda from Canada.
Pros: It was wonderfull
Pros: The crew was excellent and the food is very good. The portions were good and the drink selection is excellent.
Cons: The seating room is poor for someone who is 6'2" tall. My wife had issues with her ankles swelling. When we tried to get a cold compress to put on them we never received it. We also asked for some fruit instead of the pizza snack and didn't receive it either. I know you don't have much control over passengers, but we had a two year old child in our seating area and it screamed and cried virtually the entire 14 hour flight. Very annoying.
Pros: Amenities - ear plugs and basic things are good. Dint see this in other flights till now in economy. Good movies collection.
Cons: Attendants were negligent. Asked for water many times, but didn't get any response. They were busy chit chatting. Internet - only 20 mb , that too for 2 hours continuous. Food was not that good. And only 2 meals for 14 hr flight!!
Pros: I must admit....this is one of the best experiences I have had flying and I fly this route a lot. I was traveling with an Elder who required a wheelchair and every step of the way it was smooth and the crew was attentive.
Cons: They only give out small cups of water. I would have liked the option of a bottled water as well as for the elder I was traveling with. They did not come around as often with water as we needed. but this complaint is so minor compared to our overall experience that I did not want to even mention it.
Pros: Well, the best thing was my free upgrade from Business into First ....which is perfect for the 14+ hours from Dubai to Seattle..... :)
Cons: I prefer the A380 to the 777-300 due to the availability of the bar/lounge area, and also the shower.
Pros: I love the meal
Cons: Some crew member is bad customer service they're not pay attention on you.
Pros: The crew & the ground personnel! Very polite, helpful & efficient!
Cons: I loved flying by Emirate! But not anymore! Too conjested!! You keep raising the fares but continue taking away the few perks that used to set you aside from other airlines! The food was less than ordinary! Sadly, you have taken away the open buffet between meals. This buffet of fresh fruit, chocolates & healthy bars were welcome & much appreciated! The little pouch with few essential things for travellers was very useful......you've taken take away too! Qatar, Turkish or Itthehad Airlines are beckoning me!
Cons: My one problem, which is not Emirates' problem, is the lady that sat behind me on my way to Dubai in October was unhappy if I reclined my seat at all. I didn't want to cause a problem, so I left it upright - later on, when I walked to the back, I saw her sleeping w/her seat reclined! That really was my only complaint, and like I say, that really has nothing to do w/Emirates.
Pros: I like that flights are on time, food is ok, staff is pleasant,
Cons: Very strict on hand luggage weights, trying to make money on it
Pros: entertainment part made time fly from Dubai to Seattle and staff too were awesome.
Cons: 15-hour flight not happy thing to be mid-air.
Pros: The food, crew and comfort were as good as can be on a 14 hour flight.
Pros: Sorry...pushed a button the it disappeared. Will try again... As always, returning home from an international two week trip is always thrilling but exhausting. The hours of travel seem slow. My half table of Advil PM worked wonders though. Gracious service, always willing to help myself and those seated around me. Clean bathroom facilities. Overall, I'm thrilled to be home safely.
Cons: I picked slimly through my food. Nothing seemed too appetizing. The entertainment options were a bit difficult to navigate. Choices were a bit limited as well for a long flight.
Cons: The crew were so friendly
Cons: Me, my husband and my daughter didnt get seats together in the aircraft though we checked in before 48 hours.
Pros: We liked the excellent crew. They were very curtious and made sure every small request was fullfilled. We met couple of friends on the same flight. And so kids had excellent time during the 14 hour journey. The crew were very sweet to all the kids. Very patient and fullied there numerous requests.
Pros: A380 is spacious
Cons: my seat (head) was broken
Pros: their hospitality
Cons: The food
Pros: On time departure
Cons: No food at all, the same flight in the other direction had food.
Pros: The flight crew is great, the plane is modern and the in-flight entertainment is awesome
Cons: Food quantities could be more. In such long haul flights, individuals line myself who do not sleep in focus tend to get hungrier. Boarding at Dubai has become a mess ever since Trump instituted a restriction on carry-on electronic devices for flights to the US originating from certain middle eastern counties.
Cons: missed the flight to seattle due to emirates delays, total travel time was 50 hours instead of 20, what a nightmare
Pros: Flight staff was responsive and courteous.
Cons: Seats are hard. Had to sit on pillow and blanket to soften. Entertainment screen did not work properly (would not follow finger movement - seat 45A. I did not tell staff.
Pros: The in-flight entertainment options were spectacular and the availability of the crew was first-rate.
Cons: The late arrival from Bahrain (0130) required a 40 minute bus ride to the terminal, which reflects poorly on the reputation of Emirates and the Dubai airport in general. It felt very poorly organized and shoddily run.
Pros: All was good
Pros: enough leg room
Cons: the touch screen system was poor, limited movie choices, food taste, poor crew members etc
Pros: Good entertainment
Cons: Seat was broken, the crew was unresponsive to calls, food was expired/bad. Seating was terribly uncomfortable because it was broken. I couldn't recline and the crew didn't really help. I love Emirates and I always fly Emirates. So this was an exception and very disappointing.
Cons: I got food poisoning on this flight. Cramped in the middle seat for 14 hours while throwing up was not pleasant.
Pros: PLenty of room (for tourist class), great entertainment system.
Cons: The crew did not pass through the cabin frequently enough to collect trash. As a result, a lot of trash built up in the seats and aisles during the 16 hour flight.
Pros: Best long haul flight I have ever been on in economy. The flight was great, the only draw back was our seats were in the middle of the middle but for a last minute reservation we were happy to be sitting together. The leg room was good. The crew was phenomenal. The food delicious!! The toilets were clean throughout 14+hour flight.
Pros: Crew and service were great. Food was very good.
Cons: Seats in economy are tight. Headphone jack is two pronged and no adapter so you are forced to use their cheesy headphones. Bring your own adapter.
Cons: I loved it
Pros: Flight attendants very very helpful in fixing some kind of mechanical error with my overhead light. When it was stuck on and the remote didn't work, they figured out they could reboot the system and turn it off. I'm glad I had my own headlamp so I could read during the flight, but overhead permanently off was much better than permanently on! I'm very grateful for their persistence in finding a solution. The agents at the Seattle location were very helpful assisting with our baggage problem, caused by Emirates gate agents in Dubai
Cons: The worst part of this trip was the surprise demand at the gate in Dubai that we check our duty-free liquor in a bag at the gate. There was no warning, no packaging to help protect our purchase, and no recourse We arrived in Seattle to find a liqour soaked bag. The liquor, of course, was a special gift and something we cannot simply repurchase. Very disappointing experience, especially after hearing good reviews of Emirate Air's generally good baggage handling and policies. The agents in Seattle helped remedy this, but it is a big hassle nonetheless as we arrive home to be dealing with damaged personal electronics and finding receipts all while jetlagged and getting back to work. my overhead light broke on the flight! but the flight attendants were very helpful and found a way to turn it off so I could sleep.
Pros: The crew were courteous on the return flight, accommodating . They took too long to retrieve trash after food and drink services. The chairs recline too far back limiting the leg room, moreso knee room of the parties sitting behind the reclined chairs
Cons: See above
Pros: In-flight entertainment was good.
Cons: Was sitting in 41D. By the team they came to my seat, they ran out of the standard vegetarian meal. I was told I 'had to pre-order' the veg meal, although it had never happened in the 10+ long haul 14-hr flights I've taken with Emirates in the past. I was under the impression you only had to pre-order special meals like religious (Jain, Hindu) meals and not the std veg meal. Emirates should advise so while booking a ticket. Secondly the flight attendant who was telling me this was INCREDIBLY rude. This was extremely uncharacteristic from Emirates crew as I had always come across very pleasant flight attendants. This particular attendant constantly, and very indifferently, asked me if I wanted chicken or lamb, despite me repeatedly saying I am a vegetarian. This continued for a couple of minutes, and then she got flustered, rudely asked again if I want to eat or not. I said I am not going to eat a non-veg meal, and then she dragged the tray away. Without offering me any kind of veg alternative (Emirates carries pizzas as well in this long haul flights). I ended up not eating anything for that meal. Extremely unpleasant experience which was not expected from Emirates.
Cons: When I was boarding on my 14 hour flight from Dubai to the US, I was briefly informed by the Emirates boarding staff that my seat had been changed. I had specifically chosen my aisle seat because I like to stand often on long flights, so I was concerned that it had been changed. When I tried to get more information from the staff member, he dismissively said "Ma'am, this is a good seat" and handed me my ticket without even making eye contact. There was no apology or courtesy of any kind. I ended up with a window seat and I had to crawl over two other people throughout the 14 hour flight to use the restroom or stretch my legs. I expected more courtesy from the staff for this kind of inconvenience and will rethink my flight plans in the future to avoid Dubai.
Cons: Boarding was 'mediocre' due to the air crash earlier in the day, led to a gate change and various chaos. Great staff through, so not really so bad and totally understandable....
Cons: Crew members are very arrogant at passengers they will not respond quickly .Food is not at all good
Cons: sometimes the cabin crews didn't show up at all when I needed water or a drink, had to get out of my seat and get it. Seats were not comfortable for a 14 hour flight and think food quality could be improved a little
Cons: Bring some salt and pepper, or only go with the Korean menu. Western fare was exceptionally bland
Cons: A normal flight with good service but at a really good price. I fly 15 or more times a year and would definitely do this one again.
Pros: Crew members were as friendly and helpful as always
Cons: Being disabled doesn't always mean that you get on and as quickly as you would like. We were the first off in SeaTac, but the last to be taken to Passport control.
Pros: Seat comfort and service
Cons: Cabin temp too warm; mediocre headphones (bro f your own)
Cons: Flight was an hour late departing
Pros: crew was efficient. economy seats are roomier than most. food is tasty.
Cons: no salt or low sodium option meals for people with heart disease and dietary restrictions. less repetition on same announcements that interrupts watching/listening to entertainment console.
Pros: The crew was attentive and kind. The food inflight is pretty good for airline food! We were able to check two pieces of checked baggage per passenger, no problem (to/from USA).
Cons: Boarding from SEA is organized with designated lanes for various rows, but boarding elsewhere, there was no protocol for when to line up.
Cons: Rude flight attendant. Disgusting!
Pros: Service was excellent
Cons: Seat was very uncomfortable and remote panel for adjustment was too hard to manage plus entertainment remote was unless. I think plane is too outdated. Wear and tear cave seem throughout the plane interior
Pros: The crew was very good.
Cons: I requested a wheelchair due to limited walking ability. Myself and several others had to wait a long time after getting off the the plane. There were no chairs and it was difficult. A very nice guy finally brought us wheelchairs and rolled 2 of us at once through security and to baggage claim.
Pros: Crew was nice, made sure they knew I was a vegetarian, gave me a snack that I missed when asleep.
Cons: Seats on the Dreamliner are very hard.
Pros: The food service, how nice the aircrew is.
Cons: No vegetarian food I’d you didn’t pre-order 24 hours in advance. I couldn’t check in online so preorder not an option. Boarding started late on both flights
Pros: All staff were very nice and kind. Best experience!
Pros: Their customer service and food
Cons: Seat size. Entertainment hard to get the TV working then when you did took forever to rewind back to the start of a movie then the entertainment was continuously interrupted by announcements it airline advertisements.
Cons: Very limited selection that repeats over both segments
Pros: We had a four hour layover in Seoul and there are free tours from the airport. Most were at the wrong time and too long, but we were able to go to a nearby casino and given a welcome package that helped kill a couple hours.
Cons: It took an hour to get our luggage in Seattle. Too long!
Pros: On our flights to Palau and our return flight to Incheon, I had entire rows to myself, which was sweet!! I was able to stretch out a bit and get come good sleep.
Cons: Airlines have done a disservice to travelers by adding rows and packing passengers in like sardines. Thus making travel an uncomfortable nightmare for economy seats. Take out a few rows and add a premium economy section - that would be awesome! Plus the plane we flew on was old - still had ash trays. The attendants, while courteous were not very friendly and cocktails poured were not very good. And, the charger in my seat did not work - bummer. while I appreciate very much uneventful and safe flights to and from our destination, I will more than likely not fly Asiana again. I don't like giving poor reviews, but you can't know to fix something if you don't know it is broken.
Pros: We were able to check in and board the plane on time. Im fully satisfied.
Cons: The food isnt good.
Pros: Great food!
Pros: 2 free checked bags.
Cons: Old, uncomfortable seats. No in-seat power. Weak entertainment options on tiny screens. 3-4-3 configuration means no seat is a good seat. No legroom. I hated my experience on thus airline and will work to avoid on future trips to Asia. Paid $200 for two bulkhead (NOT exit row seats) and flight attendants hassled me about where I kept my carry-on tote bag. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Pros: comfortable and simple, friendly staff and no hassles
Cons: options on food and drinks limited movies to select limited options and nothing exciting for my taste
Pros: Flight attendants were pleasant. Plane looked clean and in good condition. Seat comfort was okay.
Cons: Sat on the plane for over 1 hour waiting for connecting flight.
Cons: Disorganized boarding. Seats need new foam.
Pros: The service, foods
Cons: The servers were very nice. They were always willing to help with all passion. The foods on board were decent. I love it how they had Korean traditional foods and American foods for the choice! I had 2 free bags checked with 22kg for each which satisfied me. Also I brought 2 small carry on bags. The only thing is the English of some servers were not really good. Sometimes they didn't understand what customers said. But I think it is just fine
Pros: Entertainment was okay
Cons: On both flights my party of 2 was split, despite an early check-in. We were lucky enough to swap seats because ANOTHER family was also split between us on the first flight. On the second, 3 parties were all split in the 3 rows in front of us, so we had to shuffle 4 different people before take off before the majority of the people were sat together. On 10 hour flights, generally I feel parties shouldn't be split unless they're checking in later than we did.
Cons: It was very hot in the cabin. We were told that it was airline policy to keep the cabin that temperature. There is no way to adjust the temperature yourself. Also the chicken entrees should be avoided. If given the option chose the Korean meal.
Pros: Very good service.
Cons: The flight attendants took WAY too long to gather the food trays after the passengers had eaten. They should make many more trips throughout the journey serving water and juices.
Pros: the seats were spacious considering it was economy.
Cons: the kid next to me was awful, the crew was rude if you didn't speak korean, overall unpleasant experience.
Pros: Entertainment and courteous crew
Cons: Food was OK not the best. Seats were very uncomfortable.
Pros: Really nice staff; somewhat hard to understand their English.
Cons: Seats were not real comfortable. Korean food selections were good but the American selections, not so good.
Pros: Service was great, English could be better
Cons: Video system outdated, not intuitive and failed to allow several movies to play.
Cons: Due to problems loading luggage, and not really knowing what to do, my flight was delayed over three hours, made me miss my layover by fifteen minutes and get stuck in Korea, they provided me with another ticket, but since they didn't have another direct flight, they put me on another layover. My next flight with Asiana to the US from Korea encountered another problem and I was further delayed another two hours, with another two hour layover in LA. The cabin crew was friendly, but not very useful. They provided food, but no help. This is the worst Star Alliance airline I have ever flown. I will not be a returning customer.
Pros: The headphone jack was in the seat in front, not in the armrest; slippers were passed out
Cons: The plane got hot half-way through the flight.
Pros: The crew was fantastic as always.
Cons: It seemed like the air conditioning wasn't working so the flight was really warm and uncomfortable. I was trying to fan myself with the emergency exit handout. Also, the tv screens were really small, old, and didn't have a very good selection of movies.
Pros: I ever eat like that delicious food in Air. Also bread and other small desert's was good. Just want to say Thank's
Pros: The crew was professional, boarding was smooth, and service overall was great. Its why i continue to fly with this airline
Cons: Im sure it has nothing to do with the flight crew but i would love for my flights to actually arrive on time (+/- 10 mins) this 30-45 min delay on the runway is getting old (normally leaving from NRT)
Pros: The staff are nice and friendly and courteous. Food is pretty good too.
Pros: My expectations of the flight were met or exceeded. I really enjoyed the food as well.
Cons: There were no problems with the flight.
Pros: I got randomly upgraded. That was my first time flying business. It was pretty lovely. Lots of room, highly attentive staff that calls you by name.
Cons: I guess the buttons that controlled the seat were confusing but I can live with that.
Pros: Good food, polite crew, efficient and flexible with baggage.
Cons: All of our 4 Asiana flights left late and arrived late, making us miss one connection on the way to Japan. We luckily allowed a lot of extra time going home because our flight was more than an hour late again.
Pros: The food was good the staff pleasant and professional, for an airplane seemed to be clean. Everyone has their own personal entertainment screens. Food was pretty decent, better than I have ever had on a domestic US flight. Staff always seemed to appear happy and satisfied with their job/work; service with a smile.
Cons: I found that unlike my SEA to Seoul flight, the staff on this 9 hour flight only brought drinks around during meal time; or you had to specifically call a staff member to get a drink. I really appreciated the first flight staff that took care to bring drinks around more often without needing to call on them. They seem very stingy with carry on items. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience.
Pros: For the duration of 5.5hours, 1 main meal and 1 snack were served. Prompt drinks and meal service
Cons: No personal inflight entertainment. Only a few screens from the ceiling, with poor viewing angles.
Pros: All the usual good things with Asiana -- flight attendants, politeness, efficiency in the cabin, good food.
Cons: Upon arrival back in Seoul, the bridge would not work properly. We had to wait on the airplane for 45 minutes, causing all of us to miss the last buses from the airport to our neighborhoods. What is usually a 12,000 KRW bus ride turned into a 130,000 taxi ride. (The jimjilbang downstairs was full.) If they had brought out stairs and buses immediately, instead of waiting so long, we might have made it to the buses.
Pros: Flight quality was good
Cons: The return flight had delays.
Pros: Excellent customer service
Cons: Asiana Airline allowed a drunken passenger sit next to me. Everyone can smell and knew that he is drunken. The 1st thing he did after sitting was drinking alcohol from his pocket. Yes, one of the staff came to him and got the drink from him. But, he talked me for about 4hours nonstop and made me uncomfortable at all. Other passengers around me saw him because he talked too loud. I expected that they would offer me another sit and left him alone. During 10 hrs flight, I had 2 Tylenol capsules because of the smell of the alcohol from him. It was REALLY hard time for me to sit next to him during 10 hrs. DO NOT ALLOW A DRUNKEN PERSON TO GET ON A PLAIN FOR OTHERS.
Pros: Enough space for feet, kind crew members, good food, free alcoholic beverages.
Cons: Air system got very cold over several hours during the flight. Experienced by myself and my traveling partner. There was also a huge gap of several hours when it seemed no staff came by for drinks, but there might be a chance that I just missed it. Also the display screen kept coming on, alone by just accidentally striking the switches on the armrest when moving. Not the best design, if this keeps happening.
Pros: The flight was cancelled by the airline for no good reason, and it was hard to get the refund for the tickets.
Cons: Better would be to actually use the flight.
Cons: Broken backup computer not identified until 5 minutes before takeoff. Pilot said would be delayed one hour. Delayed four hours and didn’t get in until midnight, with busy day at work next day. Four hours is a lot longer than one hour. Just say four hours up front. Luckily we didn’t have to make a connecting flight. I would have been quite upset if I missed a connecting flight because they said it would only be a one hour delay and I didn’t try to switch to another flight because I was falsely told it would only be one hour.
Cons: Upgrade entertainment
Pros: Always love the efficiency of Hawaiian Airlines' Haneda–based staff and crew!!!
Pros: Free entertainment and food!
Cons: More space
Pros: The entire trip was amazing
Pros: Entire experience was perfect
Cons: The departure gate changed but no one told us. The departures hall where the original gate was had only one digital screen on the other side of the room with departure info. If sitting still didn't make me restless, we would've missed our flight!
Pros: First class was especially luxurious. And the Mai Tais were the best of the whole vacation.
Pros: I like the crew, they were so sweet as always!
Cons: As is an issue with all Hawaiian Airlines flights, there is no fan/ temperature control option and I tend to feel motion sick if I don’t have cool air blowing towards me. It also helps me feel less trapped. But, all was fine because it wasn’t a full flight and I didn’t have someone sitting next to me.
Pros: Crew great, on time , good flight.
Cons: the headphone jack worked on outbound flight but not on the return flight, different sized hole.
Cons: Charge for movies and entertainment
Pros: I usually have a great experience with kayak.
Cons: I meant to book a flight for my brother, but because I was logged into kayak, it automatically put me as the passenger. I didn't realize the mistake until 2 hours before the flight. Couldn't transfer the ticket into his name so we just lost the money and had to rebook him a flight. I'm irritated that I wasn't even prompted to enter passenger's name/info and that I didn't catch the mistake earlier. I'm also irritated that Hawaiian airlines couldn't do anything but give me a travel voucher that would cost $200 in fees to use, which was the original price of the ticket.
Pros: A few of the flight attendants were friendly. Water was cold.
Cons: The food, sandwiches specifically, were absolutely horrendously disgusting. This was the first flight I’ve been on with excessive advertising, and the TVs couldn’t be shut off or dimmed when this was occurring. We used to love this airline but tonight’s flight them down there with every other bottom feeder airline.
Pros: I upgraded to the seats in the first few rows of coach that have a little extra leg room and board first. My flight was comfortable and the service was good. Hawaiian Air still serves sandwiches at no extra charge, which is a nice surprise. Overall, the experience was efficient and smooth.
Cons: They didn’t have a healthy food option.
Cons: One and a half hours late departure missed last of the nite airporter connection. Had to rent car.
Cons: Reserved seats at booking and when checking in we had to pay more to get assigned seats. Big rip off!
Pros: Generally friendly crew, seatback video entertainment and usb at every seat is nice, but it’s essentially $6 per seat to watch anything.
Cons: $50 overweight bag charge knowing everyone is going to be bringing more home from Hawaii than they left with. “Meal service” is a single microwaved sandwich in a bag with no options available. Coach is incredibly dense with minimal recline. Our flight sat roasting at the gate w difficulty starting the engines for an hour and only a verbal apology given - if you’re going to nickle and dime the customer, be prepared to make amends when things don’t go well.
Pros: The service
Cons: That I chose an isle seat through you then where put in a middle seat
Pros: Boarding was easy, the seats (even the cheap seats!) were pretty comfortable.
Cons: Not having a vegetarian option for the in flight meal was pretty dissapointing, I can't be the only vegetarian that has flown Hawaiian. And the flight attendant just said "nope" and walked away from me. The flight attendant on the right side of the aisle was super nice to the people next to me, offered them a bunch of extra chocolates and snack packets and an extra drink each of the rum mix. My flight attendant pointedly asked my age (26), and took my ID away where i couldn't see her to examine it and gave me a half full drink kind of angrily (?). It made me feel really weird to see this affluent young athletic white couple get star treatment and kind of feel second class on a flight I paid $500 for and got the exact opposite of the seat preference I put down. I wasn't exactly dressed to the nines since I was travelling all day, but I don't think I looked like that much of a hooligan. Finally, it would be really cool to see WiFi or actually complimentary entertainment on the personal tv's, like some airlines offer. Overall I really didn't have a good experience, and will avoid Hawaiian airlines when possible in the future. Thanks for reading my little rant!
Pros: I loved the whole experience. These days you never get food anymore, and with Hawaiian you do! And it's delish!
Pros: I was traveling with my two boys, crew was so nice, helping us baggage and smiles.
Cons: Seats were a bit uncomfortable.
Pros: Check in and boarding was hassle free
Cons: The seats are not confortable.
Pros: From the agents to the flight crew and even the Captain , everybody was friendly and attentive. The dinner was just the right size and was very tasty.
Pros: Everything was just "ok".
Cons: When we finally arrived at the gate, and I say "finally" because HNL is such a terrible airport in general (took us over an hour to get our luggage in order to clear customs and get it back on the flight home, HA's business lounge is in a totally separate terminal from where our gate was and the little "wiki-wiki" bus that takes you from one terminal to the other was slower than walking, so we walked) there was no separate boarding line for First Class. When you've splurged on 1st class for a special occasion (25th anniversary in our case) you kind of expect all the little things (like priority boarding) to be in place.
Pros: Smooth Flight
Pros: No A/C while on the ground and it got very very hot waiting to take off. Then no entertainment or power supple for the entire flight. I had heard many good things about this airline before, but NONE were fulfilled. Won't fly again or recommend. They could have at least offered so compensation or at least a couple of drinks.
Cons: That we can't keep the blankies.
Pros: I appreciated the staff assistance, even though I didn't appreciate the airline's protocol. I purchased seats next to each other, when I checked in 22.5 hours before the flight we (2) were split up. The airline told us our option was to purchase upgrades to sit next to each other. I waited patiently for 3 hours before the flight and spoke with a few gate attendants. They were accommodating and put us together, even though they moved us to the rear-most section of the plane and into the center section. Great free music stations.
Cons: Having a meal on the flight is awesome! Not offering a vegetarian option (and cooking the meat in with the starch) meant that my fiance had nothing to eat but cookies and crackers. Also, overhead bin area was limited, mostly due to passengers bringing larger and larger 'carry-ons' (which are not actually carry-on sized). Hawaiian needs to be more strict about their carry-on sizes for rolling bags. They should fit wheels-in, not wheels to the side. Finally, media is available for free, but only for advertisement and promotion, entertainment media is only available for purchase.
Pros: When we checked in it would have been helpful to have a crew member tell my husband and I that we were not sitting together so we could have tried to address. We didn't notice until we were boarding. The service cart was busy more than our flight to HI.
Pros: Great service with a smile. Brandon was very courteous and patient with everyone. Professional at all times but very hospital like family.
Cons: So hot....no ac!!!
Pros: The atmosphere in the flight was cam and mellow. I love the haeaiin music playing.
Cons: The food served was a bit gross for breakfast.
Cons: Tight seating. Limited entertainment options without having to pay extra
Cons: We were very disappointed that there wasn't a complimentary in-flight movie during our 6-hour flight.
Pros: Use Cash to transfer my baggage, not just my card, please.
Cons: Bad meals
Pros: Crew was nice. Boarding was good. They supplied a meal and it was a very smooth uneventful flight.
Cons: Cabin was cold but if you wanted a blanket you had to buy one. Seat in front of us was broke and delayed the flight while they tried to fix it (they did not).
Pros: Delayed flight. Pilots were great about giving information to passengers. Attendants were wonderful.
Cons: We have never had a long flight without any movie choices or other entertainment for the entire trip. It is not ok to have such a void in offerings for passengers for such a long flight. We will never fly Hawaii again because of this. Seems like this airline has gotten carried away with cost cutting. Sorry to say, I will be sharing this disappointment with friends. We have never flown with this carrier before, but we expected better.
Pros: We made it.
Cons: Some crew members were quite rude and not accommodating. Simple requests for water were not met or were met with serious attitude. No food alternatives, which does not work for me as I have a particular allergy. There was no entertainment or wine available (I booked an international flight -- which in my experience always includes these things including special meals. We were treated as if we were flying domestically, which was not what we paid for). I won't be booking Hawaiian Airlines again.
Cons: When I booked the flight, I was not able to select my seat despite paying a hefty sum (well over double the cost of normal). As I went to check in, I still was not able to select a seat. As I refreshed my mobile check-in, I finally was assigned a seat just prior to boarding. As I stood in-line to board, I noticed that my seat changed, which also meant a different boarding zone. I left the line to wait for the next queue to board. As I stood in line again to board, I was called to the podium by an agent. They informed me that my seat changed. At this point, I was one of the last to board. My final seat on the plane ended being in a seat that did not recline (which is terrible for a 5.5 hour flight), next to a woman that spilled over into my seat. And in front of a very tall gentleman with his feet staying next to me most of the ride. At the price I paid and the changes they were making, I would have preferred an upgrade. The cost for my ticket was well over what i would have been charged for first class on any other day.
Pros: Same as Syndey to Honolulu.
Cons: Same as Sydney to Honolulu
Pros: free wine with dinner. and bathrooms were close to my seat. and the free meal with your flight was nice
Cons: had to stop the plane and turn around because of 2 passengers. and you have to pay for movies. and old movies to boot. that was lame.
Cons: I think you could provide 1free movie on the flight since it is a fairly long flight. That plus your meal you would be the only way to fly.
Pros: Timely. Relatively roomy aircraft.
Cons: You have to pay for baggage. They weigh carry-ons.
Pros: Nothing - relieved to leave finally
Cons: Every employee who works in Maui
Pros: Crew was very friendly and professional
Cons: Flight was delayed; initially told 30 mins, then 30 mins more, then about another 30 mins. No real info was given as to the why they had to stop boarding, have passengers get off of the plane, unload the bags, get a new plane and start the process.... several passengers were just told "30 min advisory delay"
Pros: they served a meal like in "the old days" they were pleasant plane was spotless and new
Pros: The staff was very helpful, however it should not have gotten to that point.
Cons: Upon purchasing via Kayak 5 weeks prior to departure date via Kayak-I got no confirmation of receipt via email or an option to choose seats. No confirmation of purchase made. Confirmed with credit card of confirmed purchase after 48 hours of purchase. I also needed to physically go down to airport and inquire with desk clerk (who was very helpful) on the confirmation of flight info/code, next the desk clerk picked my seats which he chose window and seat next to (2 parties/traveling with child) not a problem considering I have cronic back issues. Weeks later, the Day before my flight as I checking in on line, my seats were moved to the worst possible place on the plane (2 center isle seats-again back issues would cause constant and periodic standing/sitting rotations at the very back of the plane-46 row, which prompted a second physical visit to airport front desk. Upon arrival first reservation code was not valid, desk clerks again helped out immensly. Desk clerk reassigned both parties to NEW seats (which were the handi-seats on reserve, advised by clerk that this was not "Guaranteed" seats). Later on at Check in time-Seats moved yet again, this time separated from my child (Very poor). After check in was advised to get past security checkpoint, go to gate & see desk clerk fronting gate to inquire about seat changes MAYBE they can help. AGAIN desk clerks very helpful & moved seats to accomidate my circumstances. High Stress & Unwanted anxiety FROM PURCHASE-RIGHT UP TO THE GATE. EXTREMELY POORLY EXECUTED COMMUNICATION, CONFIRMATION CODES WRONG, SEATS MOVED MULTIPLE TIMES & SEPARATED FROM MY CHILD TO TOP OFF. HOPE NOT ALL WAS AS "Stress Inducing" as my purchase. Maybe-BIG MAYBE......NEXT TIME.
Pros: Definitely appreciated the hot meal and comp wine! Was not expecting that. Thanks much.
Cons: Overall my experience was a positive one, however I feel the need to express my dissatisfaction with the luggage process. It was the first time (though admittedly I don't travel oftenI I was told I had to print my own tags, using the kiosk. The person receiving the luggage was not very helpful when I explained I wasn't familiar with the kiosk. Though I was the only one in the luggage line at the time He made no attempt to give me instructions. Sent me to a "special services" line which, if I had stayed in it, I may have missed my flight. Fortunately, another airline rep came to my rescue at the kiosk and patiently and courteously completed the procedure for me. Would have liked to have some "free" movies offered as on other airlines I have taken. Fortunately I had a friendly seatmate who invited me to enjoy a movie she purchased, using one of her earphones.
