Flight was delayed without explanation Surprise fees for seats and baggage, misleading!
I loved that we left on time and boarding the plane was not a hassle and the crew was welcoming
Frontier is similar to other budget airlines like Spirit where only a personal item comes free and the seats are a little tighter than usual. I thought they had good communication around the fee for carry ons (in the boarding process, they directed people to go online and pay the fee there if they'd already to avoid a higher fee at boarding). Staff were friendly and for a short flight (<2 hours) I felt it was perfectly comfortable, and I'm very happy with my decision given that the flight was <$100 and direct.

The passenger boarding zones are called in reverse order, so while the entry is in the front, they begin boarding the zones seated at the rear of the plane. This common sense approach provides smoother access to one's row; there is not a blockage of people one has to pass while heading for seats at the back of the plane. It seems, too, there is a real effort to get the seating finished so the flight can take off on time. Plus, each leg of the trip arrived at least a few minutes ahead of schedule! Shout out, too, to the boarding gate desk people in RDU, who graciously accommodated my request for a seat change so I could keep my bad leg on the aisle side
It was a short flight, about an hour. If it were much longer, I'd be more likely to mind that the seats don't recline, but maybe the Airbus 319 is just used on short trips.
Fast boarding, no problems on the flight. Nice to arrive early also!
