Cons: "Delays in Nice led to a narrow window for connection. More than ten people were left behind - doors practically closed in our faces - and Lufthansa was wholly unhelpful in rescheduling flights. Lines to speak with agents were absurd and then attendants had to take breaks instead of resolve issues. There were no solutions offered, only poor communication and an unwillingness to accommodate a significant number of customers who were inconvenienced. Finally, a "random inspection" led to a handful of passengers being surveyed by the German local police. Interestingly, a number of us were Hispanic Americans. The whole experience was extremely negative."

Absolutely ridiculous and will NEVER fly Aer Lingus again!"

I have no issue with aer Lingus staff they did their job. It is Mabchester airport which is bad as they are the ones that were responsible for these two incidents happening"

Cons: "Initially we thought we were flying with British Airways. We then had to do some digging to realize it was all out of American Airlines. Then we couldn't get proper boarding passes and luggage tags until one of the crew members spent a significant amount of time untangling each leg of our trip so they were in the proper order. We got delayed by 4 hours in Chicago and missed our connection in Manchester. We had another 5 hour wait there. By the time we got to Dublin, our bags didn't also arrive. After almost 24 hours of travel, we arrived but without all of our stuff."

Pros: "My flight was cancelled, after that I had to find out what I would have to do next! Horrible! Nobody knew what would come next! In Heathrow, the staff in the morning has the worst attitude ever when I was getting my Voucher for breakfast."

Pros: "On a long flight, it was great having an empty seat between me (window) and the other passenger in my row (aisle), especially given that I paid an extra $55 for my seat.. ( I do need to add, however, that 5-6 hours into the flight, a passenger two rows back became ill which required that the row be vacated so I ended up with a young woman sitting in the middle seat next to me who announced that she was sick -- and looked that way.)"

Cons: "Both flights, outgoing and returning, had the same problem. My family was spread all over the plane. My wife was in the back, I was in the front, and my two kids (ages 2 and 4) were split apart in the middle! Aer Lingus won't allow kids to be checked in online or over the phone so we couldn't address this until we arrived at the airport. At the check in desk, Aer Lingus personnel who are usually very accommodating told us "I'm sorry. It's a full flight. You'll have to talk to the flight crew." As if boarding a an international flight with two toddlers isn't difficult enough, now we had to do it without knowing where are seats were. All I can say is thank God for the accommodating passengers on our flight. The flight attendant was not helpful so I had to ask people myself."

Cons: "Boarding at Lisbon airport was one of the worst experiences. Passengers were asked to line up at least 30 minutes before boarding started and it was hot in the terminal. As boarding started, passengers were split into groups by boarding zones...premium passengers boarded first as expected, then people with small bags. This is where the problem was because a group of four passengers who had one small bag (that could fit under seat) were allowed to go before passengers in boarding zones A/B. The whole idea is people who could fit bags under their seat would board first, but the tap team made a mess and allowed many passengers with large bags in as well. I was one of the last ones to be boarded and stranded on the line for over 40 minutes with my backpack...after traveling for a month and being delayed in Rome, last thing you want is stupid mistakes like this to cause you stress."

I’m used to having one or maybe two movies to choose from but TAP has an entire movie library on the back of each seat. I watched 3 new releases on my 7.5 hour flight. The food was also tasty and I technically had two meals. Great job, TAP!"
Cons: "The only thing that could be improved is the boarding process in the Lisbon airport. The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."

Cons: "When TAP couldn’t get me to Lisbon in time to make my connection they added a flight to Madrid where I waited until 16:00 to fly to Seville. I talked to several TAP representatives and none were helpful or apologetic and they offered me nothing for the problems they caused. I missed my only day in Seville due to this. This trip turned out to be a disaster."

I have been traveling for 20 years and I never felt so disappointed by an airline... I will not use this airline ever again"

Pros: "Flight was delayed leaving Newark so we missed our connection in Portugal which was supposed to take us straight to Venice. Instead TAP gave us a replacement flight to Madrid and then from Madrid to Venice A FLIGHT WITH TWO STOPS IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED OR PAID FOR. Madrid was also delayed and we missed our connection to Venice. We got a new flight from Madrid to Venice and had to wait 5 hours for it. A trip from New Jersey to Venice ended up taking OVER 24 HOURS!!!! Due to the disgraceful disorganization and service of TAP PORTUGA we missed our best friends rehersal dinner a memory we would have loved to have. Extremely disorganized, terrible customer service OH AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR OUR BAGS TWICE to get reimbursed later but I don’t believe anything Tap Portugal says so we’ll see. Staff advice did not align and they were unapologetic for the experience we received."

Cons: "I had an awful experience. A flight attendant named Comissário Bruno denied me a second dessert when I asked for one. I was flying business class on flight TP059 on March 4 2018 and have Gold status on Star Alliance. Many passengers had declined dessert and I felt extremely embarrassed by having been denied food on a plane for the first time in my life. The attitude and lack of tact of Comissario Bruno on TP059 spoiled the whole flight experience for me."

Cons: "This event refers to my TAP flight from Lisbon to Heathrow on 21-Jan-2018. We arrived to the airport nearly 2 hours before departure time, waited 35min in the security checks and my girlfriend was held 20min in the passport control. While she was queuing for the 2no police officers to check her passport, an airport assistant came to the queue and asked who was due to board in TP364 to Heathrow. She was made aware that my girlfriend was there due to board that flight. In the meantime I made my way to the gate to make the gate assistants aware that she was held in the passport checks and was already on her way to the gate. Having said that, the zealous assistants in the gate have closed the gate in front of me, 18min before scheduled departure time and - "very kindly" - told me that I wouldn't be boarding that flight anymore even though my girlfriend have arrived in the meantime. One can imagine the frustration I felt finding out that the flight departure was delayed and that the flight actually departed 40min late. At that time I was already suffering the extortion of the customer service from TAP, claiming from me circa 400Eur from each of us for a one way ticket in the next flight to London. Therefore... until I remember this... I AM NOT FLYING TAP ANYMORE... I am very proud of being Portuguese but in similar situations that occurred with me flying British Airways, Lufthansa or Air Italia, I have always been treated with much more respect and customer care!"

Pros: "Though it was a short flight, they did offer food and left mine on my table since I was sleeping. I woke up super thirsty and hungry so that was a nice surprise."

Pros: "There was some initial confusion on what gate we were at and when everyone could start boarding. Once that was cleared up boarding seemed to be pretty smooth. The crew mostly seemed friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the blankets and pillows on everyone’s chairs in case someone was cold. That way they didn’t have to wait for a flight attendant to get a blanket or pillow."
Cons: "I did not like the food options so much, I think there may have been some alternatives but those alternatives were not clear. Also,the tv screens can sometimes be difficult to get out and put away in the exit rows."

Pros: "My wife and I flew Lufthansa a good deal in the 1970s and 80s, we stopped in the early 90s because I was working with young people and had difficulties provided them with a non-smoking environment. This is the first time I have used Lufthansa since 1992. Based on the flights over and back, I believe we will start using it again."
Cons: "Experience with partner airlines is not as good as with Lufthansa directly. I mean, Austrian and United. They do not provide the same attention to detail, courtesy, or organization, particularly pre boarding and boarding."

Cons: "Baggage Claim was a nightmare. I did not receive a baggage ticket when I checked my bag in London. Part of that is my fault. I should have made sure I had one. It took an extra long time to get my bag. Everyone else had left the area from my flight and I approached the counter. The attendant at the counter was rude. She said she couldn't help me unless I had the baggage claim ticket. Which I get that, but it all comes down to how she said it to me. She went over to the carousel and said that my flights bags were still going around and at that time I saw my bag. I said there it is to her and she responds, well you can go get it yourself then. Just completely rude. It all came down to how she responded to me. I was freaking out at the prospect of my bag being lost and she responded as clipped and uncompassionately as possible."

Cons: "Could not book a seat next to my wife and I had tried weeks before."

Pros: "The flight was fine. Trouble is, it's not a Luthansa flight, it's a United Airlines flight. That's not clear when you book, and the reservation shows up with the confirmation number on the Luthansa site. We had to call them to find that the flight was actually United when we went to book the boarding pass. It didn't flag the flight as united...it would look up and find the reservation, then the web site would simply hang when we tried to print the boarding pass. That's poor customer service to say the least. I get that the Star Alliance and other partnerships are eroding brand, but this should have been listed as United."

Cons: "I'm glad that the ground crew id'd an APU leak prior to takeoff, but delayed flight for an hour. Crew was not memorable. VERY limited entertainment options available for a 7-hr flight. Was looking forward to experiencing Austrian Airlines, and upon check-in was pointed to the fine print on my booking: "Flight provided by United Airlines." Was hoping for a flight like the one we took on Turkish Airways a couple years ago -- a very high standard. But couldn't even get comfortable in the seats. The entertainment screen was very difficult to use; if there had been more options I probably wouldn't have been able to get to them anyway. Could barely reach above-seat vents, even when standing. All this was made worse when we had to walk through the First Class section when boarding and deplaning. The disparity between the comfort they experienced and the minimum standards in economy felt like Austrian Airlines/United were rubbing it in our faces that we didn't want to spend more on travel."

Pros: "There was plenty of room because the flight was less than half full. There was a very friendly and helpful female flight attendant with an Asian ethnic background."
Cons: "It was impossible to check in online because I have a U.S. Green Card. Something should be done to fix this. It shouldn't be too difficult. There was a gray-haired male flight attendant who was extremely negative and unfriendly. Perhaps (I hope) he was really a security guard. But if he is going to serve people, he has to understand the concept of service."

Cons: "The dinner, Thai Chicken Curry, contained nuts. Nobody communicated that to the passengers. I ate the Curry, not knowing there were nuts in the dish - I am allergic to nuts. Spent much of the flight feeling sick, being physically sick, feeling ill and not being able to think about anything else. After reading the Curry container cover, it did say the dish contained nuts. But the flight staff, I think, should have communicated this. Also who puts a dish with nuts in it on a plane, with all the allergies that passengers could have? I was not going to die from the experience, but some people are more allergic than I am. I think this choice of menu was very inappropriate."

Cons: "There's a real problem on theses flights that are somehow multiply sponsored by different airlines. The ticket you sold me indicated Lufthansa, and my check in reminder the day before was for them. But they didn't know me from Adam. It finally emerged that the flight was actually run by United --and at Heathrow I had to hurry over from the Lufthansa to the United counter to check in --almost was late for my flight! Not nice. Could you please iron this issue out more clearly in the future."

Cons: "Flight got cancelled, we did not receive an email or text. We found out when we reached the Heathrow airport. We got booked on another flight, with 6 hour layover. When the flight that got cancelled was a direct flight. Then our luggage was not put on the connecting flight, we got our luggage 24 hours later."

Your upgrade cost even for more leg room coach starts at over a $100 Even though we booked on Lufthansa, we were flying United. Food in the coach was below average and the Entertainment audio very poor. I am travelling soon again and would like a free upgrade this time and will rate your service accordingly. My travel plan this year is numerous."
