Cons: "Having flown with LAN multiple times the only time you receive good service is when you fly in Business Class. Recently I have been flying economy and from the moment checking in to leaving the plane is a terrible experience. I have had on numerous occasions when checking in at the airport that I was lied to regarding the seat I was in. Or there was more than one person with the same seat. Food and the wine is awful. I would not even eat it if I was starving. When flying the overnight/ morning flight they leave the cabin lights on pretty much the entire way, their excuse is that they need to serve dinner, but who serves dinner at 0500 in the morning anyways. My last flight I asked if I could borrow a pen, and they told me they do not give out pens to customers. I will never fly LAN again except for business class. On American Airlines they are a lot more friendlier. Also a shame that they do not have a way of recognising the people that fly with them frequently, I have flown with LAN 10 times in the last 12 months. They have a bad attitude."

They kept us till 2AM at the airport and made us take out all our luggage before taking us to a hotel. They told us that it was a direct flight as it was initially scheduled from Lima to La Paz, but that was not true as we had to stop in Santa Cruz first. To sum up, there was a 28-hour delay in total. I was supposed to get to La Paz on Jan. 28 and ended up arriving on the 29. No explanations were given, but it is clear that they oversold as all flights were full. Avoid this airline if you can."

Cons: "It was awful. My original flight was scheduled to depart March 30 at 11:55. Then Aeromexico changed it to 1:35am in March 31. They refused to let me change flights when this happened. I wanted to fly standby on an earlier flight, so I called everyday for 2 weeks to confirm how many seats were left. Everyone I talked to told me I could fly standby if it was he same day as my ticket. I got to the airport and the flight attendant at check in told me “standby doesn’t exist.” When I asked how much it would be to change my ticket, she just said “very expensive.” She told me she’d have to check me out of my current flight and risk me losing my seat on that flight, because it was overbooked just to see the price for the earlier flight. I told her I’d be willing to pay up to $200 to switch to the earlier flight and she told me it was very expensive and she wouldn’t do it. I came back later that night and took my scheduled flight. I carried on my bag from SFO to MEX. On my second flight from MEX to BOG, the attendant told an older woman she had to check her bag because the overhead was going to be too full. I volunteered to check my bag instead so she could keep her bag. Then Aeromexico lost my bag. When I got to BOG, they told me I couldn’t have a voucher because it was my fault for bringing a bag that was too big. Finally they gave me $100 because the next day was Easter and I had no clothes for church. I wasted over 2 hours of my vacation at the Bogota airport while Aeromexico searched for my bag. They said they’d call as soon as they found it. No one ever called. I called and they asked “what color is your bag?” I said “red” and the attendant said they had it. It was delivered several hours after this call despite the fact that the airport is less than 20 minutes from where we are staying. I didn’t think an airline could be worse han United, but Aeromexico steals the cake."

Pros: "Seats were comfortable, even in economy. Personal entertainment at each seat with a good selection of movies and easy way to navigate to English language. The flight attendants were very nice, and they provided not only drinks but also a full snack tray to each person. Flight was right on time and announcement were in Spanish and English which was important for me as I don't speak Spanish.."

Cons: "The main meal was terrible...sticky pasta with little to no taste. A bun that tasted like it sat out a day on the table. No butter, no salt, no pepper. And pudding with both meals? yuck!"
Cons: "The Guy didn't assign seats together for us even though there were enough seats, so we had to explain him to do so, I to not understand why do I have to take tings away from my luggage to my hand bag in order to document it for free, the plane will carry exactly the same weight but inside the cabin; I suggest to use an overall weight including the passenger weight for allowance. The guy didn't tell that we had to pick our luggage in Mexico City and put it to the connecting flight."
Cons: "had to pick up bags, clear immigration and customs, go to a different terminal (with 4 pieces of luggage, 4 back packs, and two kids) check in again, drop bags, clear immigration again and board the plane. Will avoid this connection at all costs next time"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. The crew was friendly. The video and music options were excellent. I got to listen to a 1962 Coltrane/Monk jazz album. Cool!"

Cons: "It took an hour to Check-in in Orlando, seems like every passenger took 15 to 20 minutes to get checked in! Slightly faster in Mexico City but still took 40 minutes. Can't understand with all this modern technology why checking in is still so slow......"
