Cons: "Boarding was chaotic. Food fees should be included into ticket price ("free"). Food quality should also be improved."

Pros: "It was great and easy."

Cons: "Pets were allowed on the flight, and we had no prior knowledge of this. I happened to be allergic to furry animals, especially cats and dogs. There were two dogs on board, one in a row toward the front and one in the back. There was nowhere that I could go and allergens were probably circulated in the system. There was also a terrible odor that several others said they could also smell. The attendant said that there was nothing that could be done, and we suffered through the entire flight. Also, the TV control was broken and there was no option to turn off the TV. The attendant said that there would be a $25 voucher issued for compensation. We have not heard a peep from anyone!"

Cons: "Checking in was difficult for me. My husband was able to check in through the cruise line. when we got to the airport the counter was not open. i checked in but did not get a seat assignment. When we got to the gate our flight to Boston was delayed until 3am from midnight. I tried getting a seat assignment but was told I had to wait until all the other flights were taken care of. I finally got my seat with my husband after 10p. I am a very nervous flyer so this was very nerve racking for me. But once I got my seat I calmed down. We always fly Jet Blue when we can. The flight itself was wonderful. And the counter folks were very patient with the customers dealing with delays."

Cons: "The airplane cabin had a strong urine odor that endured throughout the red-eye flight, the air temperature had to have been at least 75 degrees, probably 80 which was a bit stifling. No usb/power at the seat which would be preferable/should be standard by now for a coast-to-coast flight. Seat didn’t recline which isn’t the end of the world but a bit of a bummer. My headphones didn’t work with the little screen at my seat but it’s ok because based on my neighbor’s screen it was just a rotating lineup of Jet Blue commercials/fake tv shows that I can easily pass on."

I then called the number provided to ask for more help, and was told that I could then only choose the seats at the check in time. I was at the airport 2 hours before the flight schedule to book my seat and was told them that I could only choose the seats at the gate. Once I got at the gate I asked the person to please give me a seat at the aisle for medical reasons but after waiting until the boarding process had started I was giving a middle seat. Not only I was treated as a stand by passenger that had not purchased the tickets I was put nt on group 8 and at the moment of boarding the gate personal aggressively grabbed my carry-on bag because they insisted there was no more spaces in the compartment above heads. Once I got inside of airplane I saw many empty compartments available for carry-on luggage. I wish I had not purchased my ticket with Iberia Airlines operated by American Airlines. It was not a good, pleasant experience and do not recommend. I wil certainly avoid in the future and not travel this way another time. Thanks"

I drove 5.5 hours to another city to catch a flight to Europe, believing my return ticket was valid as AA first told me, only later to learn they cancelled it. Thanks to AA, I currently I have no return ticket. Others on this flight and on my later Iberia flight were cursing AA loudly so I don't think my issue is an anomaly, but is more likely AA's new standard of conduct."

The U tied wing was amazing. Your prices are great but to keep ppl from rather paying more just for one or two more luxuries, try fixing this."

They had to fly in an employee from Texas to cover the shift. Are you kidding me? I understand there are unforeseen events but any reputable airline should have a personnel contingency plan better than that. As a result, we lost a whole day of our vacation, missed our Broadway performance, and others missed their business meetings. All the alerts informing us of the delay were sent long after they already occurred. I will avoid flying American again at all costs."

Cons: "Mediocre food and entertainment. Internet price are ridiculous compared to competitors ( just flew SouthWest - so much better). Cost at about $6 for a half-hour. They had to bring the cleaning crew back on to clean parts of the plane - it was to dirty for anyone to sit in one row."

Pros: "The crew was friendly. The pilot told us what landmarks we were flying over as well as weather, altitude updates and arrival times."

Pros: "The captain of the plane did a phenomenonal job communicating with the passengers on board. He provided us information on location, altitude, and let us know when to expect turbulence which I thought was great, as many do not communicate much with the passengers. Also the plane was in good conditions and was comfortable."

Pros: "relatively quiet for a redeye, seats were made out of a decent leather like material, TVs in the back of each seat along with charging inputs"
Cons: "AA version of the 737 is very cramped, small seats with little room and very upright, barely recline if at all. Also, unlike other airlines they installed metal boxes underneath the seats for the life vests which take up a third of your leg room. Overhead air barely blows and the overall temp was a little too warm for comfort even while just wearing shorts and a T-shirt. Lights were bright for first half of the trip until they finished drink service even though flight started at midnight."

Pros: "There isn't much to like about a red eye flight. It got us home. We selected it based on price and schedule."
Cons: "Crew made one pass thru cabin with a mini bag of pretzels and one pass thru with beverage. Never saw them again but perhaps that is the norm for AA. No so with other carriers we have flown red eyes on. Always tough getting a good connection when flying west to east"

Pros: "Everyone from the woman checking boarding passes at the gate to the pilot himself, was friendly, jovial, and light. Very relaxing trip, I just felt very welcome by everyone."
Cons: "Nothing at all. Well, it'd be nice if ALL seats were 1st class size, lol."

Cons: "Ridiculously crammed. Seats do NOT recline, even if you upgrade $60 one way on big seats, NO recline. Rip off, I paid more than your competitors flying nonstop ORD-SEA. We are smaller than avg. people. Also, the boarding agent was literally yelling at people during boarding. Very disrespectful."

Pros: "Nothing. Their seats don't even recline."
Cons: "The airline is a rip-off."

Cons: "I usually don't care too much about my flights from LA to Seattle since it's only a 2 hour flight. This was my first time with spirit and it was horrible from start to finish. Staff was unfriendly checking my bag in (I had to pay $82 for ONE checked bag), boarding the plane was a complete unorganized mess, the flight was bumpy and uncomfortable, the beverage I asked for on the flight was out of stock, the landing was horrific. By far, worst 2 hours on a plane I've ever experienced."

Pros: "When the lost luggage was returned (nothing missing) they put a cute tag on it that said "I missed you". But the aggravation was not worth the humorous picture of a bag with open arms. May I suggest that future passengers don't check luggage in more than 2-1/2 hours in advance. I suspect that they may not yet have a cart to accumulate luggage for your flight."

Cons: "I missed my connecting flight in Detroit due to my flight leaving late from Baltimore because of bad weather in Chicago. Spirit did not have any other connecting flights until 2 days later. They offered no assistance. I needed to be at my destination the next day for a wedding, so I had to purchase an additional ticket out of pocket from Southwest (staff was very helpful). I recommend removing Spirit Airlines from Kayak."

Cons: "Didn't like the extreme added on expenses. $57 for a checked bag to Seattle. No seat reservation fee going to Seattle. On the return $47 for a checked bag. Had to reserve a seat for the return. The fee started at $18 the website went down and upon getting back online the seat reservation fee increased from $18 to $20 in a matter of 1-2 minutes"

Cons: "2 hrs delay. With not notifying. No updates and No one was at the gate until last second to boarding. This is my 2nd time with spirit. And the same happened. I Never ho with spirit. I had to pay for laugage that all airlines have a free carry on."

Cons: "Return Flight on 5/31 / #770 Detroit to Seattle: upon arriving at the Detroit airport learned we had to pay $59 per carry on bag. DID NOT have to do that for first flight from Seattle. Nickel & dimed the whole flight . Paid more than we would have with other preferred airline which we normally travel Impersonal service Broken seat in front of me so that tray did not operate & leg room - what there was of it - very compromised Staff on board are sloppy when giving instructions, especially on the intercom. Need speaking training. Talk way to fast, slur their words. Will NEVER fly Spirit again. You get what you pay for."

Pros: "The plane was nice looking, that's about it."
Cons: "My arrival flight was dirty, I believe I contracted some kind of rash from the nasty seat, the crew almost tried to find a way to charge me for napkins while I was attempting to clean the seat, I had to pay $180 for one carry on each for my fiance and I RT, the return flight was delayed, back on time, then delayed 3x which caused us to miss an opportunity for a late check out from our hotel and we spent 4 unnecessary hours at the airport. I will never recommend Spirit or travel with them again."

Pros: "Spirit is a low cost airline. You save money flying with them as long as you only bring one personal item and print your boarding pass from home."
Cons: "Leg room is small and not comfortable for taller people. There is nothing provided in the flight."

Pros: "The color of the plane loud and wild passengers."
Cons: "An aborted Landing approximately 800ft above the ground. Pilot almost landed at he wrong airfield"

Cons: "Upon checking in I was informed that my backpack counts as my ONE free carry on and I would have to pay $50 to check in my tiny suitcase or $55 to have it as a second "carry on." Since when is a back pack a carry on? Boarding was delayed for at least 30 minutes with no explanation given to us. Very bare minimum plane with no entertainment other than what you bring with you. Any snack or drink costs money, no cash."

The website is a disaster and I felt like I had to watch out for trick possible while navigating my way to my flight. Never ever again-seats are the tiniest most uncomfortable seat ever. I would never fly Spirit again. And also, got seated at 3:00 pm going to Vegas from Seattle and waited until 3;30 pm before they turned the AC. AC went it on after they turned in engines after waiting inside the plane for 30 minutes. Horrible experience overall. This was flight NK 292 on June 21,2016.."

Pros: "I understand that things happen, mechanical issues can cause a flight to get cancelled but how the situation was handled was absolutely appalling. There was ONE person (division manager?) who went above and beyond and apologized for the less than professional behavior of his colleagues, comped us meal vouchers and assisted us in searching for flights on other airlines - while he didn't have the capabilities to actually book the flights himself, he still aided in helping us find ones which was very much appreciated."
Cons: "As soon as our flight was cancelled and the announcement was stated that refunds would be offered, a massive line formed (naturally) and there were two girls working the ticket counter. Their customer service was TERRIBLE. One of the girls was snapping back at customers. I understand that customers can be rude and downright mean especially in situations like this, however the employees job should be to attempt to diffuse the anger, not add to it. Not only was this a reoccurring situation with one of the employees, but the second employee LEFT - just walked away from a line of 50+ People with no explanation to anyone and never came back? Which only added to everyone's frustration. How she handled that was outright ridiculous. I assume she has another place to be, but to walk away with zero explanation is unacceptable."

Cons: "Extremely unprofessional staff from the moment I walked up to the gate to leave Los Angeles Friday morning, to the moment I returned Monday night. I didn't think there was actually such thing as a "bad airline" until I flew Spirit. I'm sure there are plenty of complaints for little things, but this airline was truly bothersome and very uncomfortable, especially when the airplane was about land and one a male flight attendant began flicking the lights and laughed after. No airline should treat guests in such a way."
