It was a good experience because it was unremarkable. The exception was we were an hour delayed.
Staff friendly. Impressed that she spray cleaned the seat when I voluntarily moved to another before take-off.
Plane late by an hour. Would be nice if it is on time
Pretty good flight. Airport lounge was dirty, crowded, and noisy.
My trip was delayed by more than two hours and missed my connecting flight to Fiji due to delayed they have to change my flight to United Airlines and stranded in San Francisco for 24 hours waiting for United next flight after almost 3 days I finally arrived in Brisbane airport but my luggage wasn’t here and now I still don’t have my luggage and still without my clothes and my needs. The first full day of my vacation is horrible because I don’t have any clothes and still trying to contact airline for luggage update and hopefully they will tell me the truth instead of misleading me and I end up waiting around without enjoying my vacation time here in Brisbane.
I was offered a selection of drinks and given a free snack. The flight was only a couple of hours, but we were trreated better than the transatlantic flight.
Hate the way they nickel and dime you on pricing. Extra for baggage, extra for a pre assigned seat. Make it one price and be done with it.
I had to cancel my trip due to health reasons three days after making the reservation. I was stunned to find out that the ticket was not able to be credited for future travel. $734 loss. Not happy that this was not my experience with Southwest Airlines. I will stick with SW in the future. Boo Alaskan Air and Kayak.

Talk about boarding with ALOHA. The attendants at the counter and the flight crew were so cheerful and happy, it was good to go home with that little bit of friendly aloha I seem to not get on other flights. I have not flown Hawaiian Airlines for quite some time, but this was better than most of my flights back to the islands. I loved the comfortable seats, the updated videos that were so culturally integrated with necessary information. For example, how many times do you have to watch a flight attendant give the same ol spiel on how to use your seat buckle. Instead their modern video of actual flight attendants on a beach talking about how you should you operate your buckle. Or how about the kane dancing hula in the loi'i patches and talking about where the exits are on the plane. It was fantastic and entertaining. I also liked the fact that I was offered a breakfast sandwich that was quite tasty. Nowadays you have to spend $10 on anything inflight and it just gets so ridiculous with prices it was nice not to have to pay for a snack. I also liked the fact that for a nice sugar rush, Honolulu Cookie Company cookies were given. How is that for advertising? Love, love, and loved it even more. As a local I sure felt the spirit of Aloha on this trip coming home and I would never say no to flying Hawaiian Airlines again.
