When the flight attendants did finally arrive they all had an attitude of wishing to be anywhere but on this flight. The lead flight attendant even got into a verbal altercation with the gate agent demanding help getting people's bags into the overhead compartment because she was "injured" & not supposed to be at work. All in all a quite dissatisfying experience but not an uncommon one with this airline & this airport. I will use both only when I have absolutely no other options."

Cons: "This was a connecting flight, and I arrived at the gate from American Airlines flight 2656 in plenty of time to make the connection. However 15 minutes after arriving at my designated gate it was announced that American Airline flight 4874 would be delayed for 15 minutes for maintenance, which was fine, I want the plane I am flying in to be in perfect working order. So the departure time went from 2:32 to 3:00, then it went from 3:00 to 4:01. Next, it was announced that there had been a gate change. Once we all arrived and the passengers had deplaned and it was announced we could board it was closing in on 4:30. Now once we were on the plane we sat for one and a half hours with no food or water. Finally, they announced that the flight attendant would be coming around with water which was poured from bottles into cups and cookies or pretzels, what, did the plane crash on a deserted island and I not know it? After more sitting, we finally took off, I arrived at my destination 4 hours later than planned. I think this could have been handled more efficiently, and with more aplomb than the standard "we apologize", that does nothing for me and my trip went from 1 hour to 4 with me finally arriving at the Roanoke airport at 6:45."

Attendant, when he finally appeared, seemed, to this traveler at least, unengaged, abrupt, even rude, certainly not as welcoming and helpful ad other UA counter attendants at busier airports and at more demanding times. The word lazy comes to mind. The same individual handled the gate. His demeanor there was similar. If it is UA policy to leave counters unattended, an explanation should be posted; if present policy requires one individual to handle counter and gate duties, perhaps more help is needed. This experience, all the more frustrating when a passenger ruses early so as to comply with recommended arrival and boarding times, combined with the fact that the incoming flight significantly delayed AVL to Washington depart setting the tone for a mostly mediocre experience crowned by a painful trek from terminal A to terminal C to catch the connection to PVD. Not a best effort by UA. Outstanding flight and cabin crews saved the day."

I waited at the airport for until 1:30am before I got a confirmation that the back was in fact at Newark still. I had a nursing convention to go to and I had no clothing. So I had to Uber to Walmart than Uber back to my hotel. So I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t check into my hotel til 4am due to a negligent spirit employee. I paid for the checked bag and there was plenty of space in the over head compartment. She caused me unnecessary stress and an embarrassing morning with my administrators due to my lack of sleep."

We got charged an additional $40. Overall, we spent an additional $200! We chose this airline for the lower fares, but they get their money back by charging for everything. You pay for everything. I was very dissatisfied and likely to never fly this airline again."

Everyone at the terminal were complaining about their fees. For what I paid to check in my bags, I could of gotten a flight to the airport that I originally wanted to fly into and still save money. It is so sad when even the Spirit Airline employees say that " That's how they get you...with the baggage fees." They give you a great deal on the flight but snatch your money with their baggage fees. NEVER AGAIN!!"

The 5 service members at the check in all stood around, spoke Spanish amongst each other, laughed etc. No promptness to get their passengers on board at all. I asked for a refund and They said no. They are honestly the reason I missed my flight. I was there 1 whole hour before boarding as well. They charge for EVERYTHING! Seat selection, Carry-on etc. The staff was very rude and actually got mad that I wasn't understanding the woman with the thick Spanish accent. The eye rolls and Spanish speaking was extremely rude. I called customer service over the phone and explained what happened, and they won't issue a refund. I spoke to the supervisor and manager. It's pointless. DONT FLY SPIRIT! It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. I honestly just want my refund."
