American unexpectedly and without any reason moved my and my wife’s seat so that we were 11 rows from our 7 and 9 year old. I tried to get moved back to our original seats and while they were trying to figure out how to do that, someone bought the exit row and we were stuck. It just seems like being a million miler and and a gold elite don’t mean anything anymore.

We were in the last row by the bathrooms and our seats didn't recline at all. You had to pay for any kind of snacks other than a little bag of pretzels and a package of cookies. We were in one of the last two boarding sections, and the woman letting us on the plane tried to make us check out carry-on luggage, stating that the overhead bins were full. Well, we didn't want to be without our bags for the next 24 hours, so we argued and she let us "try" to bring them on. There was PLENTY of room back there! It's just the standard line they feed, apparently, so beware if you're sitting in the back of the plane!"

This was first of all a movie that many people, including me, would never choose to watch, but since it was on the aisle screens there was no getting away from it. It was also unsuitable for children, even without sound. But mainly, I object to the showing of any film in that situation - only aisle screens available, and on a night flight where most of the passengers are trying to sleep. I was awakened several times by the flashing lights. Other things: one of the bathrooms was not very clean, and the plane felt like the usual cattlecar, with just 3 seats on each side of the aisle, which is unusual and unpleasant for a transatlantic flight."

When I called to tell them over the phone we would have our emotional support animal I got an attitude as if I hadn't been doing this for the last 4 years. She reiterated to me that we needed in addition to the letterhead from the doctor a form filled out (which we both did ) . Brought to the airport and sit had to sit at the counter like the girl didn't know what she was doing. Fast forward to finally getting to the gate after being stressed and our flight was delayed. This now only made our 50 min layover in DC 20 min by the time we landed. We ran from one gate to the next hoping we wouldn't miss our flight and when we got there they wouldn't let us on the plane saying things like "your dogs are not on this flight" "there is no documentation" "well then you must not have the right paperwork" ... in front of a bunch of people in line, out of breath, and now embarrassed I am forced to take out my folder and give them all the paperwork I had just given to the customer service desk before our first flight. They let everyone on the plane and still made us stand there and finally said "just go but your dogs aren't on this flight". Fast forward AGAIN to sitting on the flight the flight attendant comes over and says "guys where's you carrier the dogs need to be under the seats" .. we peoceeded again to explain for the seventh time that they were emotional support animals ... she then proceeded "no they are not they are not even listed on this flight" at this point I'm EXTREMLY embarrassed because people on the plane are paying attention and drawing attention to us but not only that ... I have been doing this for years .. I ALWAYS have the proper documentation as does my husband and we have never ran into this kind of disappointment and embarrassment from any airline until now. I was so stressed out to begin with and this deffinately didn't help ... nor did it make us wants to fly on American again. I felt pushed aside, embarrassed, and belittled by multiples employees ... all because the first employee clearly made a mistake and didn't document things correctly ... that should have never been put on us ."

It's good to place Elderly and Military up front first - but to take the Whole entire family - that's not fair - you have 8 able bodies who should be in line with the rest of the crowd. Also who heard of 80 Priority check ins - normally, that's Group 1. Never flying AA unless I a desperate."

Having the usb and headphone plugs next to the monitor is the best. Better than Virgin for sure. But strangely, you couldn't order from the food and drinks menu like you can from Virgin so it was just a video version of the menu card. Food was good."

Cons: "Last Friday I had booked my flight for 8am, but when I woke up at 5am I found that they had just cancelled my flight without reason or rescheduling at 4:30am. I called the flight (American Airlines) and was put on hold for 45 minutes. Once I was able to get a hold of someone I rescheduled my flight to 7am, which was very rushed. I still managed to reach on time. my 1st stop was LaGuardia and there my gate was exchanged several times and my flight was delayed for 2 hours to Montreal Canada. I reach Montreal and missed my connecting flight to Winnipeg. Again American Airlines did not reschedule for me, the best they can do is give me a $12 voucher for food. So I get my rescheduled for a flight 3 hours later with an additional atop to Toronto. Unfortunately due to all these circumstances I miss one of the wedding events. I was supposed to reach Winnipeg at 4pm but end up reaching at 12:30am. When returning from Winnipeg, I came across more problems. My flight was cancelled due to weather, and again it is delayed for two hours. Our plane had left the gate and so when the airports in NY were closed we were far from the gate. They made us take our luggage and walk back to the airport. There were no clear instructions given and again I had to reschedule. I was stuck in a country with no family or friends at the airport two hours short of a 24hour day. I am really disappointed in the kind of treatment I received as a flyer, and I have flown many times with other airlines. I also don't buy from Kayak, and this will be the first and last time I ever do."

My only real issue was that when I booked this flight through Kayak, I somehow booked via BudgetAir.com (though I was on your website.) Due to this, I was unable to access boarding passes coming or going via the Kayak app, or the Allegient app. Luckily I was able to print them prior to leaving home (and the resort printed them for on the way back), but using this site is definitely something I'll have to consider for my trip. I should have been able to access boarding passes electronically via the app regardless.

The flight was delayed a total of 5 times for a total delay of about 4 hours. The original scheduled flight was for 6:35 pm and we didn't actually leave the ground until almost 10:30. We kept getting pushed back. I am not certain if it was due to weather (in another area) or required flight crew rest, both of which I would understand. There was no reason posted that I saw. I have a 10 yo son who has Autism and should be in bed no later than 10 pm, preferably 9 pm. I appreciate all that Allegiant does for the military, and therefore, will continue to fly on your airline. I will NOT, however, take any more evening flights as most of the ones I've flown on have either been delayed or altogether cancelled. Again, I truly appreciate your recognition of retired and active duty military. 8/10 is a B and can be improved upon with more clarevoyance and keeping on-time flights."

With Allegiant I've learned to pack lightly and plan travel carefully. It's been worth it as I have been able to see friends and family more often. We even took an impromptu vacation this year when we found a great deal on airfare."

When it did come time to board, they told everyone in the line that was going to Cincinnati that we couldn't check in until 2 hours before the departure time. Apparently there were some other flights that left before us. If they had told us to keep our place in line and to let other people through, that wouldn't have been a problem. But, they didn't. Their own website says you should check baggage at least 2 hours before your flight and no more than 4 hours before. They took it upon themselves to change the rules on people who arrive early. Then, once they no longer had anyone else to check in, they changed their rules again and start checking in people for Cincinnati about 2.5 hours ahead of time. A little communication and brain power from the staff would have gone a long way. After all that mess, the flight was delayed leaving about 15 minutes without any updates from Allegiant either."

Pros: "The price was unreal so I had to jump on this, I was able to get on and off with my backpack no problem. The flights were good, captains were very communicative about times, expectations and when turbulence was present."
Cons: "The check in had to be done in person because of the need to check my bag size, I felt a little insulted that I would have to be checked on my honesty. When I got to the check in it was like watching a special forces team measuring and prodding peoples bags to get them in to the little box even when the shapes were the reason they couldn't fit, not the size of the bags. I literally watched someone fit their bag and the attendant take it out and make it misshaped for the box and show how it didn't slide in. I had no issues with my luggage, but that sucked to watch happen to others. The food and drinks came about 10 minutes before the plane landed."
Pros: "The seating was comfortable. On the Chicago keg I was seated in the middle and was not stuck with people who were too big for the seat. I noticed there was an overweight person in first class. Does United have strict policies on size?"

Cons: "Though not the fault of the crew or airlines, we were delayed almost 90 minutes because a parent took their toddler into the lavatory while at the gate and they messed it up and plugged the toilet with paper towels and/or pampers. This was after I had a 8-1/2 hour flight from Copenhagen, Denmark. Also, the seat space and amenities are so inferior to international flights. The narrowness of the seat and closeness of the rows makes it hard to be comfortable. After being treated to two meals on the international flight, one small two-inch bag of snack mix is almost pointless."

Cons: "Such a downgrade from other airlines! Awful! They board backwards. Usually the back seats board on the plane after the special needs people. Makes more sense, people are out of the way. My water was poured into a cup from a big water battle. I like how Jetblue gives me a personal water bottle and a variety of snack option. I was given a "snack mix" on this flight which was not good. I hated this flight and there were NO televisions, or usb ports to charge phones. Never again. They didn't even have enough room for carry on bags for everyone. Thank god I packed light and didn't need to use that option. Good to know United Airlines has crappy everything."

Cons: "I didn't like the fact that my husband and i had one option only and that was Indian vegan vegetarian dish. We were told that's all there was left. We gave back our tray. I don't mind going without food for a flight but my husband had surgery die to diverticulitis and can only eat certain food. The flight attendant said that she was going to check if there is anything left in first class but it took for ever and I become impatient as the light were turned off and people were getting ready to sleep. So I switch on the light and another flight attendant came by. I explained the situation but she came back with the same Indian vegetarian dish we turned away. After more frustration and explanation the Stewart came with the. Hi Ken version. I gave my husband my share and he was able to finally take his medication and eat the chicken with the bread. I only ate the ice cream and had a glass of wine. Later on the first flight attendant who served us the meal came with a couple of oranges and a bag of chips. Saying she got this from first class. I kept the oranges and gave her back the chips. Floghing with United is very disappointing to put it mildly."

Cons: "My itinerary said I fly on Brussels Airlines on a specific flight number. I went to the international terminal to discover it is not there. I then asked multiple aiport staff members if they heard of Brussels Airlines and they said they did not. One person said it may be terminal 1, so I went there based on very little information and with hopes it would be there. I got to terminal 1 to discover there is no Brussels Airlines. I walked to Lufthansa because my return flight is through them, but it was not there either. At this point I have 45 min to make it through security and board, and no one can tell me where Brussels Airlines is. The good news is the flight was delayed, and I got an email from United Airlines with the flight status. This is the first time I was contacted by United and there was a completly different flight number than the itinerary. United should be more clear on the airline and terminal information for international flights!"

(shrieking baby temper-tantrums, service dogs, and people allergic to service dogs included) Even while dealing with the most self-entitled, disappointingly inconsiderate individuals, the flight attendants kept their composure and remained understanding, professional and accomadating. As for that rude, pompous pig of a woman up in front.. try and remember we're all human here and you should attempt to treat others like so. I can't imagine the staff being particularly fond of the idea of spending an hour delay with your continuous, huffy bitching in their ear. (as if they have any control over the situation"

Cons: "We reserved wheelchair assistance prior to the flight. We had to wait an extended amount of time to actually get the wheelchair assistance with 5 kids 7 and under. Due to the wait we almost missed our flight, we were literally the last to board the plane. We were hoping to grab some breakfast for the kids as we had a long flight and did not have time to do so because of this delay. This is why we called ahead to reserve the wheelchair. The people checking in did not seem to care about the delay and only told us to be patient. Sad, unfortunate experience with accessibility issues."

Cons: "United only had one person working to check people in, and due to a lady with 8+ bags that the only agent had to take 20+ minutes with (while the line stacked up behind us), we ended up missing the first leg of our flight. Told us our bags would be checked all the way through, and they weren't. Checked bag got lost on the way back (again, due to misinformation from United on whether our bag would be checked all the way through), and when we got them back they had obviously been rooted through, with no note left by TSA. I fly often, and this was one of the worst flying experiences of my life."

Cons: "I've only flown with United for four flights. And of those four flights they have been delayed for three of them. To be specific about this flight, straight off the bat the flight was late due to a late arriving plane.. Understandable. Then to top it off they had no pilot. So then the 1.5 hour delay has now turned into a four hour wait. But I'm still waiting for the flight so the wait could be even longer yet. The airline should consider refunding everyone's money on this flight. An hour delay is one thing, but four hours is uncalled for. Never flying with United again."

The RUDE woman (poor English) with assisted boarding then the RUDE man that changed my name and my luggage he chose to send to Dayton OH -never been there in my life and he "dug" thru my luggage - as if he was searching for MONEY or GOLD -he pulled out a protein drink and I asked him to hand that to me so I could drink it as I am a diabetic - he shouted at me "I THROW AWAY'. During the two hour delay I could have used it !! Poor service I will fly American from now on !!!!!!!!!!!"

Pros: "Crew staff went out of his way to find something for my aisle to snack on when the person next to me asked if there was any snacks on the plane. The plane had to be changed for another plane due to a mechanical issue on the first plane, and the new plane had not been stocked with food after it's previous flight, yet the crew member was able to scrounge up some snacks for us! Also got complimentary directtv - nice, but doesn't make up for not getting home in time yet again."
Cons: "United sucks. I have flown it maybe 10-12 times in the past 2.5 years, mostly back and forth between Chicago and Boston. I have had only 3 round trip flights go without a hitch. Every other trip was delayed. This time 4 hours on my return flight to Boston due to a plane switch, boarding of a new plane to discover a mechanical issue, deboarding, waiting for a new plane, then boarding and sitting on the ground for another 40 min before we were able to take off. I was delayed 1.5 hours on the way to Chicago due to another plane swap (no joke). Still doesn't top but my worst 5 hour delay in Chicago on the way back to Boston because the captain didn't show up. United is atrocious and is my last choice or any airline. Only fly when I'm absolutely forced to now due to no other reasonable choices. They are below delta, JetBlue, American, southwest, and embarrassingly, spirit as well. Terrible."
Cons: "We were connecting to this flight after flying in from Rome. Initially we were scheduled for an 8:30pm flight, but after landing early asked if we could change to an earlier flight. They graciously bumped us up to a 7:30pm flight, which trimmed our 4-hour layover down to 3pm. Cut to 6:15pm...we find out that the flight is not delayed AN HOUR due to a "late inbound flight." Long story short, the 7:30pm flight ended up departed later than the 8:30pm flight we were originally scheduled on so we didn't get to LA until after we were originally supposed to!!"

Cons: "While happy to have pilots concerned about my safety, it was frustrating to suffer thru 2 different mechanical delays. The first one was a missing rivet - which turned out to be so bad they had to put Us in a different plane. Then, that plane developed some mechanical/software issues as we were taxing. My 3-hour flight turned into a +5.5 HR endeavor. When you are on 2 broken planes in a row with the same airline you start to to wonder about how well they are maintaining their equipment. I feel like I deserve more than a "sorry" for the use of my extra time, but no credit or flight certificate was forthcoming."

Cons: "I was seated in a window seat and another woman my size about 110 pounds was seated in the aisle however there was a 400+ pound man sitting in a middle seat which made it very difficult for me especially to even sit back because it was touching me the whole time when you have somebody of that size You should make sure they are on and I'll because then the find attendance would have some difficulty getting through instead of your passengers being inconvenienced either that or force people of that size to take two seats"

Cons: "Flight was delayed for 40 minutes because of "paperwork" according to the pilot. We boarded the plane on time however had to sit on it during the delay. We were not informed of what was going on until we had already been waiting for 30 minutes. When they informed us of the delay they offered everyone free direct TV in flight to make up for the delay. Once we finally took off they announced that the direct TV was not actually working. The flight attendant making the announcements was not sincere and rather unprofessional. Luckily the pilot flew fast so we ended up arriving only 10 minutes late."

So either way we were going to have a longer day and extra leg.....which I only paid for ONE plane change. After running to the gate because my first flight was late taking off, this flight was delayed due to engine issues. The agent had us standing in line for 1 1/2 hours while she tried to figure out what was going on. So instead of taking off at 5:40 pm, we took off at 9 pm and still had to catch a bus from Boston to Providence...HORRIBLE Flight = Long Day/Night"
Pros: "The fact that you serve a small complimentary drink and snack on such a short flight was extremely appreciated. It seems most airlines either won't serve on a short flight or charge you extra. Also, I absolutely love the new seats on the planes you guys have been using for quite a while now. They're much more sleek/minimalist so they don't take up as much room. As a disabled person, the bulky seats still employed by many planes on other airlines are incredibly hard on me getting in and out of the seat isles. The crew was very efficient and kind. I also appreciate the thank you to military personnel that they announced at the end of the flight."
Cons: "My gate was moved a few minutes prior to scheduled boarding. It was a minor inconvenience. Flight was a bit late getting out, but still arrived at designated time. Complimentary Wifi would be pretty nice, but not expected."
Cons: "Lack of communication. Kept us belted down for s very long time. Lacked food service, lacked water service till the very end of the lock down. Then we were given the option to leave the plane as the doors were to be disarmed. But if we did the plane could get clearence and leave with no warning. I missed my connecting transportation, had to scrape my weekend plans, currently searching for a place to stay tonight while they locate my bag. I am cold and left my jacket in my bag. The United counter people are blaming it on the weather. I am sure everything was delayed by the laxadaysical baggage loader. The one person ( or lack of help loading the bags on the plane completely altered my travel plans. I requested assistance for hotel only to be told they are full when in fact several are vacant on the Internet. I should of videotaped the baggage loading in Canada, it would of went viral."

Cons: "You sold me a ticket on Lufthansa. When I got to Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris I waited 45 minutes in line to check in with Lufthansa. When I got to the counter they said they had no record of my reservation. When I showed them the Lufthansa reservation they told me it actually was for a United flight, even though it clearly said Lufthansa . I had to wait another 45 minutes in the United line to retrieve my boarding pass, then about another hour to go through passport control and security. I barely made my flight. I will never make a reservation through Kayak again. I am deleting your app."

Cons: "-The 767 was old. -It did not have any power ports for my laptop or cell phone. -The interior was old and dated, reminiscent of the 1980's. -The TV screen for entertainment seemed to be smaller than a Samsung Note 5. -The seats are unreasonably narrow and not comfortable. -I had an isle seat and my shoulder width is literally wider than the seats. -Every time the isle cart went by, it hit my left shoulder. -The seats in general seating are too small and were cramped. -God forbid if we had to egress out of the plane. -There were no adjustable head rests, like other airlines have. -The Flight Attendant for my section DID NOT make me feel like I was a valued customer, even though I paid over $1500 for flight. -She scolded me for asking "Why," when she TOLD me that I needed to sit in one seat, even though the seat next to me was vacant. She literally treated me like a child. - NOT COOL. Overall, in comparison to my last international flight, I WOULD NOT recommend United. I feel like I paid too much for my experience with United. Aer Lingus has better/newer aircraft, better cabin crew, better entertainment selections to include music and a selection of movies to watch at your convenience, more comfortable seats, provide a better environment, and a better value for your experience. Aer Lingus was also cheaper. So if you are reading this, please shop around if you are considering United to fly."
Low cost flight. The plane had all the passengers waiting on the tarmac for over 2 hours! The offered no food or drink to compensate for the delay. Also, the pilot did not give enough updates on the delay leaving many of the passengers wondering what was going on and when they were actually going to be able to get off the plane.
Spirit needs better seats

This is the worst airline ever! Do not fly this airline if you want to actually get to your destination on time. Multiple delays, cancellations, and long lines. Very poor customer service.
The flight was as expected. Some of the flight attendants were very rude to the passengers which is one reason why I would not recommend Spirit to anyone.
Everything and everyone was great except one flight attendant Cindi. She was rude and disrespectful. She needs some customer service skills and I will be writing a corporate complaint on her. It’s not what you say but how you say it.
Our flight from Aruba to Orlando was terribel.We departed late and when we atrrived at Fort Lauderdale,we learned that the flight to Orlando was cancelled.They put us on a flight for july 29 !!We traveled with greyhound to Orlando and arrived at the hotel at 7 am the next day.Spirit did refund the flight Fort Lauderdale to /Orlando,but that is not the way it should be.Noticed that Spirit has a lot of cancelled flights !

This was a terrible experience as a first time spirit traveler. The flight was delayed for 5 hours and the agents did not verbally communicate with anyone regarding the delays. Last minute gate change was provided 15 minutes prior to boarding to only have us wait until 5:30 to board the flight. Complimentary snack and drinks could have been provided for the extreme inconvenience. I will never fly spirit again.
Horrible experience. I booked my flight nearly 2 months in advance. Paid in full. We had so much trouble checking in online. I paid extra for reserved seats so my wife and I could sit together. Somehow, we had two different seats. It was a horrible hassle to get us to sit together. They didnt have my reservation or reserved seating. My check in apparently failed and didn't show on their part that we paid and reserved our flight. If it wasn't for my wife getting frustrated and a little wild we would have missed our flight. Keep in mind we showed our confirmation showing paid in full with reserved seating. It was really a terrible experience. I am all for cheaper flights, but I am truly not going to be flying with them anymore. It is a horrible feeling almost missing your flight for an issue that was not your own.

No entertainment option I guess if I was only going a short flight it’d be ok but still never a 1st chioice And remember cheap airlines means kids will be on board"

Cons: "I did not like the limited food selections and the small portions that were served. Also, I always like it when the pilot informs you of the area of the country you are flying over. For example I recently took a flight from Las Vegas Nevada to Melbourne Florida and that pilot on Delta explained where landmarks were all along the way. That is something comforting about a pilot connecting with his crew and the people aboard the flight. So I would really like that if Spirit would include that. Additionally I do like onboard entertainment but maybe the fares would have to reflect that."

He didn't see my carry-on bag so I had to pay an extra $50 at the gate which should have been caught at the moment I checked in. I probably won't fly with Spirit Airlines again if not very often. Unless there's a lot of direct flights to Florida I don't see much reason why I would fly with them anymore."

Cons: "I was supposed to depart at 10 pm. Flight was delayed twice via email & again once I arrived at the airport to 1:40 am. Around 1 am, the flight was cancelled. There was almost an angry & very immature mob at the gate desk for flight rebooking or refunds. There were few flights for the following evening, which sold out quickly; then rebooking were for the day after that. They did not offer to cover any hotel arrangements. The staff handled it pretty well, but it made my wait to get a refund even longer. I had to find a rental car to drive overnight from Orlando to Atlanta. I finally got home at 10:30 am."

Cons: "The staff was not happy you could tell they did not want to be there they were very disengaged. This was the second time my flight to Puerto Rico had been canceled. And then it was canceled while I was in Puerto Rico without notice . There was nobody at the airport no one answering the phone's nobody to talk to nobody to resolve issues . I waited on line for customer care/reservations for over four hours and I have proof . That is unacceptable for any business economy or midscale . And then you're only offered $50 when you had to pay for another ticket pay for another night in a hotel in extra day in a rental you're out over $500 and they give you 50 ."

With what I paid for the flight itself, the charge for 1 carry-on bag and the fee for selecting a seat at the time of booking, my total cost was more than what I would have paid on Delta or American. Cons: "Fare cheap but all the 'musts'made it more than any other airline: $9 Online fee; $25 kiosk fee (which didn't work and had to pay $50 fee to check in with clerk; had to check bag approved for under seat/carry on (12"c12") and since kiosk didn't work, charged $60 for 1st bag, even though I paid $60 for a 'first checked bag' and 2nd bag should hAve been cheaper. It was TSA agent who told me I would be required to check the bag by Spirit as it didn't meet carry on criteria and if I didn't check now, would be $100 at gate. I told her that I was traveling back with same TSA approved (and Spirit online rules) and she became rude and rejected my bag (and did a complete body search) so, I was forced to check the bag or miss my flight. I asked her and the Spirit clerk (3) if this was a TSA/ Spirit racket with kickbacks for TSA and/or Spirit and NOT on of them laughed, smiled, or denied this question. Mever again will I fly Spirit airlines or recommend to anyone!"

Cons: "On arrival at the airport, help was needed to get the boarding pass but there was no one at the ticket counter to help. For that reason, Joe missed the flight. When the representative did get to the counter, she was of no help in helping him get to his destination. He was marked as a "No Show" and his reservation was cancelled. Joe was told his return flight was confirmed. He was able to make arrangements with another airline after spending another $300 to get to Orlando. However, when he confirmed his flight home, he was told it was canceled because he "no showed!" He talked with people in Orlando and I called the phone number on the email received from Spirit after he missed the flight. I spoke with 3 different people who only wanted to tell me their policy. I needed help in getting Joe back to Akron, Oh. They could only tell me that we would have to make a new reservation and pay even more money for him to get home. Cons: "We were over 1 hour late getting to Orlando as there was a passenger who was on the plane in stand by . Spirit overbooked the flight and they down 45 minutes trying to resolve the issue. I was suppose to get to Orlando at 10:30 . I got to Orlando at 12;30 . I had to be up and ready at 6:00 . It took me 45 minutes to get a ride. This past Thursday I was suppose to fly spirit to New Orleans . The security people search me for around 40 minutes . The plane was still at the tarmac however the spirt person had closed the ramp and would not let me on the plane . The plane set there for additional 25 minutes . I drove to New Orleans for 7 hours for a meeting. I will never , ever fly spirit again ."
Pros: "Flight crew was awesome! Plane ride was smooth and even a little early."
Cons: "Don't like all the extra fees, carry on, picking seats, no free drinks or peanuts, seat spacing was a tad small."
Pros: "Our flights left on time and arrived either on schedule or early. Our luggage got there with us both times. Boarding was simple and quick. Good Job!"
Cons: "Our departure date was screwed up. I don't know how. Anyway, to change it to the correct date (even more than a week in advance) they socked us with a $500 change fee. And dealing with their customer service was a nightmare. I will think long and hard before EVER flying Spirit or using Kayak again!"
Pros: "The only plus side to Spirit is the price if you have no bags to check or carry on."
Cons: "It was a rollarcoaster of an experience! The communication was awful, from the crew to the passengers and even amongst themselves. We were lied to (for the sake of peace) and told many different things, from slight delay, to big delay, to leaving now, to cancelled, to can't fit everyone on our flights tomorrow and there are no hotels, to we may rebook this flight for tomorrow, to we are reimbursing, to we figured everything out, let's go now. We had to be rechecked in, new tickets issued, then sat on the plane for an hour as baggage had been taken off the plane, taken out of the security area to the other side of the airport-lastly, we were told luggage would come the day after, then after landing we were told we wouldn't get our luggage for two more days. It was incredible how poorly everything was handled. Aside from that, we know it is a discount airline, no frills. But the seats not being able to tip back had a HUGE impact on those of us flying for the first time. For late night or long flights, Spirit isn't ideal for comfort and ability to sleep. Otherwise, everything was fine :) Honestly, I won't fly Spirit again if I can help it. Granted I don't know if the crew member was sick, got in a fight or had some other sort of delinquecy, but wow... the lack of viable options and the announcements being made, changing of plans, etc. was unlike anything any other airline would tolerate."

Cons: "Getting our boarding pass to print was a nightmare. I kept getting password invalid. I was told I would be sent an e-mail to reset my password. NOT! made that request 6 times before I waited 30 minutes to get a rep on the phone. Was told I had to sign up to be a Free Spirit Member to get my boarding pass. No where does it say that that is what you had to do . The rep asked if I had booked through them? I told I booked through Kayak and he gave me attitude. Kind of huffed and I thought he mumbled "you get what you pay for" So I signed up and got our boarding pass. Coming back AGAIN we couldn't get our boarding pass. The rep at Cabana Bay got a Spirit rep on the phone I told her I was a Free Spirit Member and I gave her my member # and she me told I didn't exist in the system, but she would send me an e-mail to change my password Of course that didn't come through. I put Sara, from the front desk, back on the phone and between her and the rep we got our boarding pass. We started our vacation upset and aggregated. Ended it the same way."
Cons: "Had a 3 hours delay."
Cons: "The alert was finally sent to us well past the time we would have been going through security. Luckily, we had checked on our own through a third party app,. No alternative flights were available, so we had to book on another airline and cancel the Spirit tickets. The credit policy is draconian. We may not be able to meet the redemption requirements and will probably lose the entire value. The process created so much frustration and wasted so much time. The low-ish price is simply not worth it."

Cons: "Flight attendant was so mean. I did not get a chance to ask who she is or her name was at that time . I was traveling with my family including my mother who is almost 80 years old and was seated farther away from me. I stood up to check on her as she was having shortness of breath when we boarded. I stood up 15 minutes after we took off although the seat belt sign was on to check on my mother, I knew I need to stay at my seat but I have to check on my mother. flight attendant was at the aisle getting food orders and was very rude told me to go back to my seat. It could have been better if she asked what's going on and why I need to stand . That's not my expectation of a flight attendant as she should be there to assist and provide support if needed. But she was very rude and directed me back to my seat without asking the reason of my action/ behavior but instead very rudely telling me to go back to my chair. She could have asked me if I need help. I believed she is also the flight attendant who was using the overhead mic to give instructions to the passengers. She is not fit to where she is at. I believed that there still a lot of people that were very disappointed at her . I hope nobody dies in the plane where she is at as her act of negligence,rudeness , discourteous is not acceptable."

Cons: "Flights both ways delayed more than 2 hours both ways WITHOUT notification, compensation, or explanation, even when queried. I was forced to reschedule my car rental for twice the price due to tardiness. "Randomly selected" our flight to be security checked FOR A SECOND TIME AT THE GATE, and then my girlfriend was innappropriately molested for some reason by a tsa agent. I fly all the time and this was the first time this has ever happened. No service, still very expensive, dirty seats. I will NEVER be flying spirit again."
Pros: "Made it home in one piece"
Cons: "Only one suitcase, otherwise had to pay $52 for anything extra. Some passengers had more than one case/bag without charge. The staff acted like they did not enjoy their professions. Charging for snacks seemed outrageous & asinine. The flight was very rough and at some points very frightening. Dropped down more than once with my stomach having a pit. The passengers clapped their hands when we landed as if it wasn't safe. Not happy, extremely disappointed. The fight to Florida from Detroit was awesome & pleasantly surprised. I probably wouldn't recommend Spirit to friends or family."
