A stewardess made an announcement requesting everyone without a connecting flight remain seated until those of us with tight schedules got off. Most everyone was courteous and waited. Thus we, and many others, were able to make our connecting flight. We really appreciated the assistance."

Cons: "I arrived to my gate about a half hour before boarding was set to start. An employee greeting me recommended I use the restroom because the gate was down an elevator and in a portion of the airport that did not have accessible restrooms or food options. She cautioned against returning late later than ten minutes before boarding. I returned about ten minutes before the scheduled boarding, only to be told there would be a delay, which wouldn't be an issue except that it took over an hour and sounded like a standard, foreseeable safety process due to the plane being out of the country prior to our flight. Then we were shuttled to the plane on a frigid bus, which at one point stopped so suddenly several passengers and baggages were sent to the floor. And then, after finally taking off, the in flight wifi did not work. After landing in Portland, there was a 45 minute delay because "a vehicle is parked in our gate." Ultimately, we flew safe and sound, but the discomfort caused by the cold bus transports, poor bus driving, foreseeable delays, and a parked vehicle was really unacceptable. After this experience, it will be hard to choose Alaska Airlines in the future."

Pros: "The flight crew was good, and the flight was quick once we got on the plane - which was 1 hour 45 minutes after we should have!"
Cons: "I got on the second leg of a flight from Seattle to Palm Springs at San Francisco. First, the flight arrived an hour late. Passengers from Seattle said that the loading crew somehow dented the wall to the luggage area (?) and they had to inspect it before flying. When it finally got to SFO, we boarded the plane at first, and then had to deplane back into the airport because they had (over?)filled the wrong fuel tank. So they had to empty that tank and fill another I guess? Don't know if the tank they filled was on the other side of the dented luggage area. The announcements from the desk were puzzling, and tended to be every 10 minutes telling us to wait 10 minutes instead of giving a good estimate so we didn't need to stand at the gate the whole time. After about 50 more minutes we boarded again and the plane took off OK. But there needs to be serious improvement in communication between the crew on the ground (gas & luggage etc) and the pilot and the desk crew, and between all of them and their paying customers."

My bag was supposed to be available in Portland but was not. Alaska personnel couldn't find it and I was told to board my last flight to Bellingham and it would be on the flight. It wasn't so had to file a claim in Bellingham and it arrived about 12 hours later. How do you lose carry on???!!"

But then there was another delay on the strip for an hour. Then the off boarding process was extremely slow as well. Was just felt like a very long night."

Pros: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."

Cons: "I was asked to change seats twice. The first time before we boarded, to accommodate a family. That was totally fine with me. Then I was asked a second time as I was boarding to accommodate a couple. Of course I agreed again, but it was a little much."

Cons: "When we arrived to SFO the flight was delayed for mechanical issues. When they couldn't fix the plane they had to fly another one from the Island to get us. This resulted in over a 14 hour delay and ruining our plans for our first day. The wing in SFO was all under construction so if you wanted to get anything you had to leave security and go back through it over and over."

This was all noticed when I picked up my bags in Auckland"

Cons: "When I checked in i asked the agent to help me board early since I was carrying a fragile musical instrument. She said check back later. I had no seat assigned and was told I would be seated after all families were taken care of. I waited and waited and finally when everyone was boarded, I checked one last time because I was the only person left in the waiting area and the gate agent totally forgot about me. So she assigned me to a seat that had a wall in front of it and no storage space in the seat in front of me. I was livid. Thankfully I didn’t have to check the instrument but the hassle was a nightmare I really wanted to avoid."

They literally use the claims form as an excuse to show a short video about how to fill it out and THEN give you two or three ads because they figure "what the hell we have your attention now and we're going to sell you something and increase our profits." I have had it with this type of capitalism that just milks people's patience. No thanks! And no more damn Hawaiian Airlines credit cards ads! For crying out loud."

Honolulu gave us much better service Then San Francisco. The people in Honolulu helped us from the time we exited our car till we got on the plane."

Pros: "On my flight to SF I had a runny nose and requested for tissue from the attendant. She was so busy and forgot, but I managed to get tissue from the restroom. On my way back to HI, she was in my flight and apologized (I didn't even notice her since I was preoccupied) - I told her it was busy and I saw her working it and it was okay. She offered her help in anything and I thought that was super sweet, then she said.. I wont forget this time. Nice touch"

The airline staff did not say a word why the flight was cancelled, but they were kindly enough to put me on a United Airline flight at 1:15pm on the same day. But the UA flight got delayed and delayed, I didn't get on the airplane until 5pm on 9/23. This was such a terrible experience, I wasted 9 hours at the airport and had to cancel so many activities I have planned on 9/23."

Pros: "Delta is the airline to fly if you have to fly (like I did) during a pandemic. They made sure at every turn we felt as safe as possible. They had passengers distanced from each other the whole time, handed out sanitizing wipes as we walked on the plane, made sure folks kept their masks on, gave us individual little baggies with snacks and water bottles that also had individual hand sanitizer packets. I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June."

Cons: "Getting through security at the LAX Delta Terminal 2 was chaotic and the slowest I have ever encountered. There were two lines which moved at very different speeds. My husband got through his line 15min before I was finished in the other line. One line required iPads to be other, the other didn't. Something was seriously wrong with how things were being handled. Bathrooms onboard were a pigstie."

Pros: "We were two for two on not being able to understand the gate agents announcements. Please keep in mind that not everyone flies frequently. I'm convinced that the routine of the job blinds both the TSA and airline employees to this fact. Clear and concise instructions would be great, regulars will continue to ignore you. So no harm, no foul."

I tried to take things in stride (first world problems?) but it is a bummer to pay extra for the first class treatment and then to not have that great experience, especially on back to back 5ish hour flights."

Cons: "My suitcase was left behind I had to pick it up at a later time. My military issued gear was in there and I needed to make sure it would arrive later that day due to me needing my gear the following day. It was flown out with another airline."

Cons: "Offering of flights. Only two flights offered, and time between is way to long!! One that leaves at 1pm, and then a red eye 11:45pm? Not ok."

Pros: "Short lines and prompt check-in. Flights took off and landed on time. Lots of young kids but generally quiet. "Budget" airlines like Sun Country and Southwest have separate Humphrey terminal but it is less crowded and easy to navigate."

Cons: "Staff managed to spend almost the whole trip passing out drinks/snacks. Like, does it really take 3.5 hours to do that? Maybe it does. Announcements were informal - really felt like we were on a training flight. Staff wasn't helping people with bags or to find their seats like other airlines do. Maybe this more relaxed atmosphere is why the prices are lower? If so, that's fine with me - but doesn't seem like you're gunning to attract more business or be anything other than the airline in between the disgusting model of Spirit and the lame cost-cutting of major airlines. Like, innovation is only possible via dissension, and I'm sure your business is having the same troubles with idiot senior leaders as every other US corporate business is, but if you're going to ask for feedback, the feedback is stop being so blah and stand for something other than your Board. Plenty of ideas out there - stop being so pro-short term profit and start having some fun!"

Cons: "This covers two flights - Neither left on time, neither got to the gate on time. Once the bags took 30 minutes to get to the carousel, the other time staff gave wrong carousel and several passengers sat waiting. Rude flight attendants have no desire to actually serve on-board. The entire plane smells like the McDonald's dumpster that they fish their "Cheeseburgers" out of. Nothing good to say about the entire experience and I will never fly them again. Word of advice to all flight attendants working for Sun Country: Fly somewhere as a PASSENGER on Delta and see how it's done. Take notes.....lots of them."

Cons: "The plane was late to begin with. Once we got on we had to sit for about 30 minutes due to a mechanical issue. After that there was another issue that caused us all to get off the plane. Then we were stuck in the tunnel between the plane and the terminal for about 20 minutes. Once we got off we had to get back on about ten minutes later and we were rushed. I got so sick because of all of the stress and moving around I threw up on the plane and getting off. All over my clothes and shoes and luggage. I had a very bad experience."

Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."

My wife, 2 year old son, and I was boarding at the gate and they couldn't scan my son's boarding pass. They quickly went over to the computer station and gave my son another pass. We went to our seats and found out someone else is in our 2year old seat. Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."

Cons: "Delayed 5.5 hours at LAX. Boarded on time, waited at gate for 1.5 hours and then had to get off. During our delay waiting for a 1st Officer, the Captain times out. NO BACKUP CAPTAINS or 1st OFFICERS AT LAX? Then miraculously during our 3rd hour waiting for a Captain they discovered the 1st Officer was going to time out. So, rather than KNOW this while searching for a Captain, they waited for 3 hours and then had to find a 1st Officer to fill in. Result 2.5 more hours of delay. Even the Flight crew was in disbelief on this one. I think we should all get reimbursed and triple miles for this snafu. Not weather or mechanical - just poorly managed time -- BY A MAJOR AIRLINE - INEXCUSABLE!"

Cons: "My luggage was damaged and I have yet to hear from an American Airlines representative after I was not ok with a replacement from a luggage company that did not reflect my current luggage brand. Being in the Customer Sevice industry I know this is unacceptable, I would never replace a damaged item with one that was not like the original or ask a customer to do so. I will not fly American Airlines any longer."

Cons: "Long flight. We did not realize that we needed to claim baggage and then re-check it at Japan Airlines for a domestic flight. Airport personnel were understanding and helpful, so no crisis."

Cons: "LATAM deboarded me from the flight after I had boarded. They claimed American had cancelled my reservation because they did not think I would make my connection. I ran in order to make it and then instead of offering me information on the next flight they left me stranded with instructions to find American. Terrible, terrible customer service. I will think twice before booking a LATAM flight again."

Cons: "The boarding was seemed unintelligent. Why would a passenger in a window seat have to wait until the other middle and aisle passengers board. I got on the plane and had to wait for the other two passengers get up and step into the aisle so I could take my window seat. I was in group 7 and apparently they were in a lower number group that was allowed to board before me."
