But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

Cons: "If there was a less than one star that is what they deserve. SFO flight was late. They gave away my seat on my connection to Kalispell. They basically blamed me for being late and not being there on time. Two others from my flight were allowed to make the connection but told me that they gave my seat away because I was late. We all showed up at the same time from the late flight. I talked to 3 people including customer service and did not get a single “I’m Sorry”. Do they not communicate with each other when a flight is late and they have passengers for connections running late? They told me they don’t talk. The best they can do is put me standby for 9:30 flight and if I cannot get on that flight I have to wait until morning. My daughter is in a competition tomorrow morning and thanks to Alaska Airlines I’m going to miss it. I’m sitting here writing this review, paying for a dinner I should not be paying for and probably searching out a hotel room until morning when I can catch a flight. Unbelievable the lack of empathy."

I went through security at terminal 2, only to find out that I needed to leave security, get on the tram and return to the international terminal."

The only option is passengers have to give up their private information to GoGo to use the system. Don't do it! To add salt to that wound, customers have to pay to see a film. Don't do it! That experience alone made the flight a dud. All I can say is, thank heavens it was a short flight."

She didn't fit in the seat so she required part of my seat and her legs mostly in the aisle. Okay....that was bad enough but just to make matters worse she neglected to apply her seat belt. I shuttered to think of what might have happened to her neighbors if we experienced turbulence."
Pros: "The male flight attendant was not very attentive. He would serve me first and then lean over my food and drink to serve the guy on the window seat. I had to ask him every time if he could take away my glass and then my wrappers and then my...well everything. Many people from the main cabin came up front to use the first class bathroom, and he didn't stop them. He abruptly woke he up three times with his loud voice talking with passengers...with no regard of the sleeping passengers. He is more suited for the main cabin. He didn't offer any help when I was struggling to put my bag in the overhead bin. He watched as the young lady flight attendant struggled to open the plane door... I did not feel that the cost for first class was worth it. He never responded when I thanked him for each thing he did...nothing...not, "You're welcome" or "my pleasure." So, it was a first class disappointment."

Then when the slightest turbulence arrived he/she would turn it back on immediately. Makes for going to bathroom a gambling proposition and snarky comments from flight attendants for those who decided to stay in line for bathrooms."

Cons: "As a senior citizen, whenever there is a gate change its difficult to have to walk that extra stretch, I can make it OK usually to the first gate but to have to walk extra I was limping by the time I got to the gate that was changed because my hips and ankle hurt so bad. There should be a service that we're made aware of whenever this happens. Offer support like wheelchair or cart services. I didn't have time to find out if I could get this because when I found out about the gate change I didn't have time to do anything other than hurry to my gate."

This resulted in over a 14 hour delay and ruining our plans for our first day. The wing in SFO was all under construction so if you wanted to get anything you had to leave security and go back through it over and over."

Cons: "When I checked in i asked the agent to help me board early since I was carrying a fragile musical instrument. She said check back later. I had no seat assigned and was told I would be seated after all families were taken care of. I waited and waited and finally when everyone was boarded, I checked one last time because I was the only person left in the waiting area and the gate agent totally forgot about me. So she assigned me to a seat that had a wall in front of it and no storage space in the seat in front of me. I was livid. Thankfully I didn’t have to check the instrument but the hassle was a nightmare I really wanted to avoid."

On my way back to HI, she was in my flight and apologized (I didn't even notice her since I was preoccupied) - I told her it was busy and I saw her working it and it was okay. She offered her help in anything and I thought that was super sweet, then she said.. I wont forget this time. Nice touch"

The airline staff did not say a word why the flight was cancelled, but they were kindly enough to put me on a United Airline flight at 1:15pm on the same day. But the UA flight got delayed and delayed, I didn't get on the airplane until 5pm on 9/23. This was such a terrible experience, I wasted 9 hours at the airport and had to cancel so many activities I have planned on 9/23."

She might not feel comfortable helping a senior citizen but don't be so loud or make a face of disgust."

Hands down Delta IS THE BEST, there nothing better then having Free movies to pass the time, from TV to HBO and SHOWTIME and Current Movies in the theaters TODAY music, games, etc even free headsets any eye cover to rest ALL FOR FREE Delta isn't so worried about charging for eveything, a happy traveler is a repeat traveler, that is DELTAS GOAL Happy repeat travelers I voiced my displeasure with Hawaiian after finding out on my Day flight over I get charged $10 for blanket n pillow and free ( bad ) meal. Then on red eye home it's free blanket and no food, I can bring my own better food, and blanket which I do, but to charge for entertainment is the worst thing ever, AND EVEN FOR SIMPLE MUSIC WAS A CHARGE, SUCH POOR SERVICE Delta hands down IS CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED PERIOD DELTA DELTA DELTA I'M FOREVER YOUR HAPPY TRAVELER,"

I hope he will be on the board for my return."

Cons: "The flight from LAX to HKG was diverted to Haneda, Tokyo. The septic tank was not properly emptied in LAX. Flight in Hong Kong was delayed by about 2 hours due to this diversion. I agree with the call from the Captain. It's a pity that the poor quality of service team in LAX (probably 1-2 individuals) caused tremendous inconvenience to passengers and crew."

And thank you for the USB outlet, now if you could just do that for ALL domestic flights i would never fly anything other than AA. Not enough to substitute for a meal. My biggest complaint however is with 3 hours left of the flight, i turned on the call button to request a beverage and nobody came. I waited 45 minutes, having to turn on the light 3 separate time because it automatically must have timed out. I couldn't get out of my seat due to seat belt sign. I looked back into the rear galley and 5 attendants were back there talking. Tried to get their attention. Nothing. Finally, I got up and went to get my own drinks. Being a server at hotel in waikiki, I understand that customer service is very important. And though I understand that they may have been busy and unable to answer my call, I could see that clearly was not the problem. They were just standing there and chatting. Very frustrating. Though they were friendly, they just simply weren't paying attention. I have to say in all honesty, I will not be recommending nor flying United airlines again."

Cons: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

Cons: "5 minutes before we boarded they tried to change my seat without informing me.... luckily it popped up on my phone that my seat had changed I reserved an aisle seat when I made my reservations five days before the flight. All of a sudden they put me in the middle seat ...so I went to the counter and the person at the counter tried to tell me that I just changed to the aisle seat that I had which I actually have had for 5 days and she tried to tell me that I was lying to her I was not very pleased with United at all!!! I made it very clear and even showed her the email from 5 days ago where I had that seats all along the aisle seat that she took away from me and put me in the middle somewhere so three minutes later she told me to look at my phone and she changed me back but that's after she basically called me a liar and said I didn't know what I was talking about!! Worst US AIRLINE!!"
Pros: "Text notification of flight delays several hours in advance. Crew was exceptionally polite - I'd imagine this is a direct result of United's recent scandal. The scandal will eventually dissipate but hope the new crew attitude sticks around."

All the flight attendants were gracious and helpful. Overall, they made the flight good."

Cons: "I had a connection flight to San Francisco and then from there to Honolulu and the flight from Portland to SF got delayed 5 times to up to 4 hours late so I would've missed my second flight from SF to HNL. They couldn't do anything about it so they put me on the next available flight, the next MORNING. So I had to go spend a night in a hotel which I had to pay for and wait for the next flight in the morning the next day. Next day the flight got delayed yet again this time little over 2 hours. So I would've missed the flight from San Francisco do Honolulu yet again. This time they managed to find a little later flight and put me on that but still had to wait at the airports for over 8 hours. Super mad about how United works... Had problems with my boss as well because I was supposed to work the next day but they rescheduled my flight for that day. Really not a pleasant experience..."

Cons: "The plane hit the brakes while taking off and returned to the gate due to a warning light. We were told nothing other than we needed to wait. They said the fix took 5 minutes but our wait took 2 hours. Not efficient. They rent out tablets for on plane entertainment, unlike every other plane I've ever flown, they make you pay to keep you happy during a 5.5 hour flight. Food was horrible. The seat did not recline and they eradicate every ounce of comfort to overpack the plane. The Captian made little announcements and the one he did make upon decent, started with "please fasten your seat belts, we are 65 miles away from Honolulu but...", I was sure the "light" came back on 30k feet about the pacific and we were going down. Finally - the last announcement from the head stewardess didn't include "Aloah, thank you for flying United". Seems minor but it goes to show they don't care anymore. That's the first time I hadn't heard the welcomed message after my 20th trip to the Islands. After my return flight I vow to never fly United again."
