Flight attendant in first class could be more friendly .. she looked annoyed throughout the flight and didn’t seem like she wanted to be. Need work in the customer service department. Same for my outbound flight. Otherwise the flight was on time and got to where I needed to go.

Very disappointed and unprofessional so disrespectful

The WiFi on the plane didn’t work despite them having 100s of movies and shows that would’ve been really great to watch.

Cons: "So, this plane was a Virgin America aircraft taken over by Alaska since the merger. My fiance and I were on a red eye non-stop to Philly from LAX. That said, the plane was in terrible condition. The seat back in front of my seat was broken and hanging down on my knees, there was no opportunity for entertainment unless you brought your own plug in headphones (none on the plane to use or purchase), we purchased upgraded seats and when we checked in the night before were told they were not available and we would be in economy (still waiting for that $200 refund 7 days later), the arm rest between our seats was broken and would not stay up, the headrest of my seat was broken and there was exposed metal, and when we purchased champagne to celebrate our vacation it was warm. One other item I noticed was the woman across the aisle's seat would not sit upright. She was asked to move to another seat for both take off and landing. Not sure if this was a Virgin America crew of Alaska, but terribly disappointed iin the crews lack of care and would not fly them again across country if this is what is to be expected."

Cons: "They separated my seat with my 2 years old son, far far away. My 2 yo son got the seat in row 13 while mine was row 23. Then the front desk staff could only help to switch to row 12 and row 13. We’re still not together. That’s horrible. Then when we got on the plane, I asked people around if they don’t mind to switch their seats, but still not working well. The flight attendants didn’t help at all. Just saying, “this is the best we can do.” What did they do? They didn’t even help me to work it out. Then one of the front desk staff came onto the plane and help me out. My son and I finally sit together. But the overall experience sucks! Alaska Airlines needs to train their crew to have more emphatic to the passengers."

Pros: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."

Cons: "What I don't like is having to tell you what I like and don't like about taking a trip on an airline. Suffice it to say, we made it and that is never a small accomplishment for which I am always genuinely grateful and appreciative to the pilots, the crew, the engineers and builders of these large metal tubes with wings that continually and mostly consistently manage to defy the laws of gravity by propelling groups of human beings across large stretches of land and over water. Why wouldn't I be happy?"

Then, when they started to take fees you had to come back and pay. It wasn't done right then. The ground staff was minimally helpful. Flight amenities or not, pay for headset and having more than 2 TV shows and 2 movies cost you an up charge even on an overseas flight. One choice for dinner.- pasta so it was vegetarian. Breakfast was a sad roll, one small piece of cheese and ham, and fruit that was that questionable. Overnight flight, pillow no blanket in Economy. Seats hard and leg room was tight. Their Economy plus and business looked a much better way to go."

Cons: "The website wouldn't complete online check in so I arrived early (0415 for a 0600 flight). The kiosks were mobbed and several were not functioning. Only one poor staff member was there to assist literally hundreds of irate passengers. The line for check in at the desk with live assistants was also several hundred people long. I finally got my boarding pass and bag tags at 0517. Then the bag drop off was broken. One poor staff member with an I pad was trying to scan all the checked luggage. I was directed to leave my bags against a wall and hope that they would make my final destination. Obviously people were anticipating not having luggage at their destinations and were opening bags to remove a few items of clothing. I finally got to the tsa check point at 0533 and begged my way to the head of the line (thank god for global entry and tsa precheck! And a thank you to all the people at lax that let me jump the queue) The flight itself was lovely. I slept until landing. Alaska airlines, please hire more staff."

Pros: "This was our first time using Alaska Airlines and they were great! Checking in online was easy. Flight attendants and other staff were friendly and seemed to have your best interest in mind. My husband and I had a 20 hour layover in LA coming back from Costa Rica and we asked if we would have to pay another fee to recheck our bag for the second flight. They were very understanding and waived the fee since our overnight stay in LA was technically a layover and we had previously made the whole reservation for both flights at once using their company. Overall we liked our experience with Alaska and would definitely use them again!"

Pros: "Our ticket handler at Alaska Airlines ( Sep 21- SMF Airport) was the most helpful and patient person we have ever encountered! The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Over all Alaska Airlines will be the standard my future experiences will be based off of if I am unable to travel through them"

Cons: "We purchased tickets to Maui months in advance. We chose our seats. The morning before our flight we printed boarding passes and paid for check bags. That night, approximately 12 hours before take off I received a notice from Google stating the flight hand been cancelled. To this day I have never received any communication from the airline stating the flight was cancelled. I called Hawaiian and asked about the cancellation. After waiting for the customer service person to find out what the status was, she simply said there was scheduling issues. The best she could offer was a flight the next day. We lost a whole day of our vacation and lost a significant mount of money. Hawaiian offered no compensation and did not seem at all apologetic for canceling an entire flight at the last minute for "scheduling issues." We will do our best never to fly Hawaiian again. They clearly do not value their customers."

The attendant who came by in a raised rude tone told me to go sit down and grabbed the water from my. He proceeded to say “How could you do that as it was so unsanitary”"

Most planes now have at least an app with movies on it for free, especially on 6 hour flights."

I just can believe this, a hotel room paid will be empty, and well be here waiting until tomorrow so we could repeat the same thing this morning. waking up at 530 a, heading to LAX in traffic from orange . why."

Cons: "Lets start with the boarding process. Its not organized and just a huge mess. This zone boarding thing is very old school and no where is there a screen saying which zone is boarding, you have to listen for the quiet announcement and hope you heard it correctly, because they only say it once. When on board, the staff I dealt with was having a bad day or something, because slamming drinks down on tray tables and cups in to a half full cup must be the norm. The passenger next to me mentioned that the staff was very rude to me, as I was pretty passive at the time. The seats are somewhat comfortable, but when the staff tells you not to lean back because the lady behind you doesn't have enough leg room, then whats the point of paying for comfort plus. The food may be free, but if you want some sort of entertainment, TV shows or movies, it isn't free. Everything must be paid for on this flight. You pay a pretty penny to get on these flights only for them to up-sell you on everything! This airline needs some major changes to staff and technology."

When they past out some bags of Hawaiian potato chips, the bag had that odor and we then thought it must be the chips and from her being around them. We decided not to eat them and carried then off in our carry on baggage The next day I was hungry and decided to eat a bag. The odor was gone and the chips didn't smell at all Turns out it was the flight attendant. Maybe the type of food she consumes or her clothes were around a lot of garlic and onions Hope she is not on our return flight"

I only fly with this airline , and in first class, because I have sooooo many miles.. if that weren't the case I would try someone else. Who knows , maybe they would not be any better."
Cons: "We boarded a hot plane. The A/C was turned on then we smelled kerosene. We de-boarded and sat - the gate crew were fine but really didn't know what was going on. After repeated erroneous emails from HAL, the flight was actually scrubbed until HAL could get a crew and plane from Honolulu. The emails actually gave us new departure times that had already passed!) Thanks to some terrific work by the HAL gate crew, we were able to get seats on an Alaska flight. Five hours later than our original schedule but much better than our HAL schedule which finally left 7+ hours after schedule."

I had little tykes at one time but now that they are grown, it's difficult to maintain patience for five hours. Too bad a "child zone" area at the back of the plane couldn't be designated for the weary parents. Perhaps have certain rows just for families with small children where they don't have to be so worried about bothering other passengers. Maybe an area where babies could be "walked and rocked". Probably not feasible but just a thought for an airline that services the whole spectrum of age groups heading to Paradise."

There was an enormous line at LAX trying to check in and check bags. Fortunately the staff were accommodating and allowed us to check our bags even after the deadline had passed -- but it was definitely an extremely stressful experience!

We flew First Class to LA from Denver on the Delta-branded contract airline - Sky West. On the way back, we flew First Class on a Delta Airlines owned jet, and the experience was so much better. The flights should have been comparable; but unfortunately cost-cutting by Sky West was evident.

The terminal on my ticket was different than the gate number. We went through security and had to take a 15 min shuttle to a different terminal. Why not just go through security there? There were also no attendants at the gate to discuss seat assignments. My husband and I didn’t have seats together. Try on board crew was great, but the airport experience was lacking.

I felt so much more safe flying Delta on my way home to Hawaii in July than I did when I flew American Airlines on my way to the mainland in June."

When I arrived it was a Delta flight and they told they don't allow bicycles and that i had to play $150. Aerolineas website and kayak clearly says that bicycles were free on my flight. I show the agent my ticket and that no where it said delta to consider what he was saying since it is an alliance but i was not informed about it. He said no and after wait there for a while before boarding i kindly ask to speak with a supervisor and the denied it and disappeared. I request a refund of my fee to you for providing incorrect information."

To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."

Pros: "The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!"

The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Pros: "Had to cross terminals and the pathway was closed due to an international flight landing (poor planning on LAX part) so had to exit and reenter terminal through TSA. Flight delayed an hour then cancelled due to control panel failure. 10pm flight became 12am bus (and originally told it was 11.15pm bus which was "stuck in traffic" when google map traffic was all green). Got back to SD 4 hours after scheduled time."

Cons: "This was an almost 6 hour long flight, LAX to OGG. The aircraft was older and for a 6 hour flight, they really should use a bigger and newer aircraft. The entertainment systems on the back of the seat worked sporadically and the PA system was too loud and every time the PA system was used while we had our headsets on, it was excruciating We had no warning in order to remove our headsets before it blasted into our ears. We were amazed that after paying a considerable sum for our tickets and being in the air for 6 hours, there was limited meal service and we were required to purchase a sandwich in order to eat. I fly Delta frequently and this was by far the worse flight I can remember."
Cons: "To be clear, I do not have an issue with overweight people. That being said, I was put in an extremely uncomforatable position on this flight. My seatmate was a woman who easily weighed 400 pounds without the slightest exageration and was 5'7 at best. She carried all of her weight in her midsection and behind, which was truly uncomforatable for us both. As she attempted to squeeze into the aisle seat it became apparent that with the armrest down it was not going to happen. She raised the armrest and finally maneuvered into her seat and part of mine also. Not only was her bottom in my seat but her stomach was resting on my entire right leg. It felt like a toddler was sitting on my lap. This was beyond uncomfortable and embarrassing for us both as it was clear that she knew how intrusive this was and kept apologizing. My leg went to sleep after about 15 minutes so I asked to be let out. I approached the flight attendent and requested that my seat be changed to which she responded that the flight was full. I know it wasn't because I could see an empty seat about four rows in front of me. Finally I sat back down but every 15 minutes or so she would get uncomforatable and get up to stretch. The first time it was a welcomed break, until she came back and flopped in her seat with so much force that it felt like someone had ran and jumped in my lap. This occurred 4 or 5 times during the flight. I am not sure what the policy is for obese passengers, but it should be relooked. As a passenger I should not be put in a position to address another passengers weight. I also should not have to pay for a seat and only get to use 2/3 of it. Lastly, no one should ever be allowed to put their body parts on top of another persons lap and that be considered ok."

Since I was traveling alone, I opted to not purchase my seat prior to my flight date, instead I chose my aisle seat within 24 hours for free. I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."

She had about half of the First Class cabin offended as soon as meals started getting served - I didn't see ANYONE around me that got what they asked for, and then when people stated the issue, she didn't respond very well. I tried to take things in stride (first world problems?) but it is a bummer to pay extra for the first class treatment and then to not have that great experience, especially on back to back 5ish hour flights."

Cons: "While my experience with Virgin Australia was good, I will not book with them due to the co-share with Delta Airlines. I missed my connecting flight from LAX to JFK due to additional security screening. As such I was advised to head to the Delta terminal to be booked onto the next available flight to NYC. After waiting over an hour in line to be seen by a staff member, I was told that they couldn't change my ticket as it was a Virgin flight. The same staff member didn't seem to even understand the concept of 'co-share', and also told me that because I booked through Kayak and not Delta that they could not help me. This makes me think that booking through a third party is a risky move. I was told there was absolutely nothing she could do, and that I would have go to a Virgin Australia Counter. This involved taking all of my luggage from Terminal 5 - all the way to Terminal 3. I was assisted by Virgin Australia, where they apologized for my experience, and confirmed that it was Delta's responsibility (and that they were capable) of rebooking my flight. Virgin booked me onto a later flight, but I still had to walk back to Terminal 5 (Delta) to give them my checked luggage. I was once again told that I didn't have the right ticket (details listed Virgin and Delta flight number - so this was way too confusing for them). Finally they printed my a boarding card and took my bags. I then ran through security and to gate in time for my flight. Flight was fully booked, due to a many people no doubt experiencing the same thing. Food was awful. Was a big step down from the Virgin flight in every aspect. There was not a single Delta Staff member who would even try to understand or be helpful. I will never fly with Delta again."

I booked this reservation 2mo in advance with 2 lap babies. When i called to add the babies they never told me about the lap baby rule. If I would have known i would have bought my toddler her own seat no problem. They moved my seats far from each other. My babies need to sit near their mom it was a redeye. At check in the manager did us a “favor” and moved us to adjacent aisle seats… in the last row. Those seats don't recline and the constant people, flushing and talking woke the babies up all night. No one slept. The main attendant couldn’t be bothered and had a, get over it bad attitude. Oh did i mention i had a dog at my feet also?? Every time they were woken up by the bathroom (constantly) my babies would cry for their mommy and i could only hold on at a time. adjacent seats from mommy is not comforting . Why on earth would we be moved to those seats?! I know why. We were discriminated against for having babies. “Put the babies in the back.” I was a 4x a year flyer at minimum. We will NEVER fly with AA again and i will be filing a complaint. You should be ashamed of your treatment of a family and young children.

Short connecting flight to LAX from SFO. Only thing I maybe disliked was the lack of entertainment options, but what can I expect when it’s only a small jet to LAX

Flight was smooth, lande ontime despite taking off nearly 20 minutes late. Captain kept us informed when, through no fault of American Airlines there was a delay at the gate. Overall well done in these trying times."

Upon landing at LAX at 10:46pm, we were told that there was no gate for us, and that we would have to wait for an amount of time that kept changing every time there was an announcement. The toxic jet fumes started to permeate the cabin again, and people started coughing and sneezing in response. Ultimately it is 11:21pm by the time we reached our gate. At this point, the jetway was broken/failed to open, but despite this, the air conditioning was switched off and pax crowd the aisles without direction. Finally we managed to escape at 11:31pm."

I understand you have to have one on board, but I think it should be more at the emergency aisles. Also the size of the seats and the space you get is not really worth the price anymore. No matter how big or small someone is, its not comfortable. Airlines need to get back to how the seating was back in the day with great leg room and the seats are a bit wider than what it is now."

I didn't know what terminal to go to. I finally checked in with American even after they told me to go to British Airways. Next, American said that my booking was messed up such that they couldn't check my bag through. So at Chicago I had to exit the Secure area, pick up my bag from baggage check, check it back in and go back through security. I still didn't have my ticket for the chicago-barcelona leg of the trip. At American, they told be I had to exit the airport again to go to British Airways for the Chicago- Barcelona leg of the trip. Luckily, i asked another agent and she confirmed my flight was though American. It was the most confusing flight experience, I have ever had."

This took about 20 minutes and then after the winds changed, he decided he could load more passengers. So despite having the doors locked and getting ready to leave the gate, they opened the doors up again and boarded more people for the next 40 minutes. So they chose to make a delayed flight even more delayed (on Christmas Eve). So we inevitably missed our connection in sydney and had to pay a change fee since it’s a different airline. Thanks for the Christmas gift United - you always know how to disappoint your passengers."

We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

Pros: "Entertainment had good choices. I was very comfortable in the chairs. The crew was overall friendly."
Cons: "Wish the entertainment came with tablets already installed instead if for purchase. Would be nice to have gluten-free options for snacks. Since my first flight was delayed and I barely made it to my connection, I had no time to grab something to eat at the airport. And being celiac, there was only a nut and fruit mix. Not enough to substitute for a meal. My biggest complaint however is with 3 hours left of the flight, i turned on the call button to request a beverage and nobody came. I waited 45 minutes, having to turn on the light 3 separate time because it automatically must have timed out. I couldn't get out of my seat due to seat belt sign. I looked back into the rear galley and 5 attendants were back there talking. Tried to get their attention. Nothing. Finally, I got up and went to get my own drinks. Being a server at hotel in waikiki, I understand that customer service is very important. And though I understand that they may have been busy and unable to answer my call, I could see that clearly was not the problem. They were just standing there and chatting. Very frustrating. Though they were friendly, they just simply weren't paying attention. I have to say in all honesty, I will not be recommending nor flying United airlines again."
Pros: "Again could not fault staff and quality of flight services, luckily space to sleep so fantastic flight."
Cons: "2 of the flight attendants were not friendly and one was flat out rude. They handed out some form that needed to be filled out before we entered Hawaii. When I asked for a pen she said they don't hand out pens and to start asking neighbors, which didn't have any either., however when she came back around to pick the forms up and some people didn't have them filled out she reprimanded everyone and kept saying you had 5 hours to fill these out. Her communication skills were not what I expected and her lectures were not necessary."
Pros: "The boarding was fast and easy. The crew were friendly and accommodating. The entertainment was bring your own phone, tablet or computer to watch movies over wifi. We could not access our United account so we could not watch the movies, which was lame for a 5 hour flight. The food was also unpleasant as usual. You'd think a multimillion dollar airline could afford to feed people more than drinks and a cookie. What happened to the hospitality of the industry? If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap."
Cons: "The crew were wonderful. My husband was on a business trip and I was able to sit with him. The staff didn't wake me up and they were generous with the sodas."

Cons: "I didn’t like the fact that United Airlines took time away from us. Because she’s military I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like. I booked my trip from October 5-16 2017 and our vacation together won’t start until a day later. Some may say it’s only a day but I say different and I should be compensated for my loss as well as so many other people that were traveling with me. My overall experience with this airline was horrible! I won’t say I’d never use them again because you never say never BUT they will be my last resort!"

Cons: "1. The flights within the US and Canada was delayed. 2. The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."
Pros: "Getting off the plane"
Cons: "The guy puked halfway through the flt and not one single flt attendant came even though they were serving drinks repeatedly to the dr sitting in the row in front of me. Also the flt was delayed as we waited almost an hour for people trying to connect which made me more upset since I was rebooked on that later flt because although my previous flt was there half hour before departure, we didn't have a gate to use which caused me to be 15 mins late for my original flt. Did they wait for me?! NO! I was rebooked. It's unfair that they stole an hour of life from every other passenger to accommodate a few. Back to the guy who puked, an hour after that he started shaking and grabbing his head and asking me why am I hurting his heart. Then incoherent blathering and then his last episode 20 minutes before we land in which he started hitting himself in the head saying he would die right now for his wife and how he's made mistakes. It was three separate incidents from this one passenger and not one flt attendant noticed? Yeah it was bad piled on worse stacked on top of never United ever again."

Pros: "The boarding was pretty good for this flight, seemed simple enough, everyone was pleasant. And I was near an exit, which offered sufficient leg room."
Cons: "I was disappointed by a few things... 1. The staff didn't much care to be there. They seemed distant and unconcerned, although their words were supportive. I just got off a flight from Seoul to SF, with United (892) and they admittedly stated that they were understaffed (which was completely fine) and their attitudes were much more supportive than that of the following team (486), a flight from SF to IAD. 2. I was surprised, that on a 5hr flight, they only offered a half bag of mixed items and two rounds of beverages. I was sure that they would feed us something. However, if it's not the policy, I get it...but I asked if they had anything I could purchase, the flight attendant points me to the menu pamphlet and says that I could choose from there. I asked for the Chilled Chicken with Slaw and she promptly lets me know that they only have cheeseburgers, a protein box and Cheese. For a person who's lactose intolerant, I was again disappointed by the service--why ask me to go to the menu, if you knew there were only three items you were offering?? So I didn't order anything. 3. The entertainment blows my mind. I've flown with you guys like 8 times this year, and the app still does not work properly, however, before every flight, someone mentions over the intercom to be sure to download the app...but if it doesn't work...why offer it? Also, if there are tvs at the back of every headrest, the least you could offer is a random movie, versus the commercials about how great the app is, or whatever was scrolling along. Lastly, please note, I was trying to figure out a way to make a comment to United...but didn't want to sound TOOO disgruntled. I'm not opposed to flying with UA, absolutely not, but if any of these things are addressed, I definitely feel you will be making a massive improvement on what seems to be an airline that I'd think twice about taking. Feel free to e-mail or call me. I don't mean to sound rude...but having flown other airlines, and knowing that UA has been around for a while, i just hoped the experience would be better."

Cons: "Plane was delayed over two hours due to mechanical issues. I missed my connections. Three separate United employees assure me I'd be rebooked for onward travel. I was sent to three different counters regarding my onward travel - sent from terminal to terminal. No onward travel was resolved and I eventually just paid for a train onward. I was told this was because it was a weather delay but at the boarding gate multiple announcements were made about repairing the plane and replacing batteries. United deliberately wasted my time and never fulfilled their obligations to get me to my destination. (Additionally, wifi and entertainment was not functional the entire 11 hour flight)"
Cons: "5 minutes before we boarded they tried to change my seat without informing me.... luckily it popped up on my phone that my seat had changed I reserved an aisle seat when I made my reservations five days before the flight. All of a sudden they put me in the middle seat ...so I went to the counter and the person at the counter tried to tell me that I just changed to the aisle seat that I had which I actually have had for 5 days and she tried to tell me that I was lying to her I was not very pleased with United at all!!! I made it very clear and even showed her the email from 5 days ago where I had that seats all along the aisle seat that she took away from me and put me in the middle somewhere so three minutes later she told me to look at my phone and she changed me back but that's after she basically called me a liar and said I didn't know what I was talking about!! Worst US AIRLINE!!"

Cons: "If you want to feel like you're riding the most cramped Greyhound bus, definitely ride with united."
Pros: "United really could have done better informing us of delay, then cancellation. I knew it was likely to be delayed due to weather, and kept checking the status. It wasn't listed as delayed until nearly boarding time, although it seems pretty clear they knew well before that. But SFO was a star. The new decor is sophisticated and comfortable. Bathrooms were like at a swanky night club! Comfy chairs and charging outlets every where. The biggest hit was the Exploratorium installation, which kept my and plenty of other kids entertained!"
Cons: "Wayfinding signage from BART is confusing. BART connection is a pain. The machines in the station only take $1 and $5 bills-- no 20s or credit cards! And no one at BART cares if you are running late for a flight."
Pros: "On board shows were good."
Cons: "Flight left about 3-3.5 hours late. Add that to the time you have to show up early to the airport and I could've been almost home in my car. We were boarded and left to sit for a long time then the pilot came on saying the mechanic needed more time to look at the tire which might need to be changed. After another 15-20 min sitting, pilot comes on and says we need to get off the plane so the maintenance could be done. Ok I'd rather fly safe than be on time but really? Why doesn't this airline have enough planes that the maintenance can be done when the plane isn't scheduled to fly? So many people missed connections and we ended up getting home so much later than we had expected! Honestly I would rather the airline have emailed saying flight delayed 3 hours so I could have had more time in SF rather than sitting in an airport eating a mediocre airport meal for dinner. They had to have known the tire was almost to the point of changing right? I mean I would hope it's checked each flight. Just all together inconvenient. Like they book all theses flights to make money and yet if they had fewer but didn't make anyone waste the day or night at the airport so they could perform routine maintenance it may be worth an extra few bucks in my book. My time is valuable too, and I don't think I was the only one on the flight who thought so. Maybe United doesn't value anyone else's time other than theirs. Guess this is why we have several airlines to choose from and we will not likely fly United again."

Much of the time there were people standing in line right over me waiting. Lots of bumping and grinding with my fellow passengers."

Cons: "6 hour delay in SFO is apparently not unusual. Gate agent tells us that they will always bump that flight for other western regional airport since SMF doesn't have a curfew. United could care less and not transparent. And then they have the gull to tell us it was weather related. There was no bad weather anywhere in the western US that day! I tracked the plane backwards online and it never left Cali all day. United lies to shift blame away from their decision to screw all those on that flight. Advise: If you have this connection skip it, rent a car in SFO and drive to SMF. You will be to the good many hours."
