Cons: "Alaska Airline trip was nothing special at all. I did notice more people did not look the crew in the eye as much as in past trips. Passengers seemed more timid than normal engage a crew member, opting more to keep to themselves."

Pros: "This was our first time using Alaska Airlines and they were great! Checking in online was easy. Flight attendants and other staff were friendly and seemed to have your best interest in mind. My husband and I had a 20 hour layover in LA coming back from Costa Rica and we asked if we would have to pay another fee to recheck our bag for the second flight. They were very understanding and waived the fee since our overnight stay in LA was technically a layover and we had previously made the whole reservation for both flights at once using their company. Overall we liked our experience with Alaska and would definitely use them again!"

I do not like the fact that the ticket agent Was quite rude and uncaring and unhelpful. The Epitome of poor customer service for a terrible policy. she almost seemed to gloat over the fact that she could not or would not help me join my family for a dinner in Seattle."

I did not like the free checking of all carry on bags. Knowing my bag was barely on the larger side for a carry-on bag, I played it safe and checked.mine in.....costing me $25!!!! Then Alaska Airline employees put he tags on everyone's suitcase like carryon to be put under the plane FREE OF CHARGE and they were delivered to them at the door of the airplane when departing! If I'd not been a conscientious rule follower, I could have saved myself 25 bucks and gotten better luggage service. It was also extremely frustrating that even if checked in online the day before, Alaska Airlines system promptly told me that after I completed the online check in process I would be able to choose my seat assignment. NOPE!!!!! THEY WOULDN'T LET ME GET S SEAT ASSIGNMENT UNTIL I GOT TO THE DEPARTURE GATES AND HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR BEFORE ATTENDANTS EVEN SHOWED UP AT THE GATE DESK!!"

Pros: "I had to take a United flight last week for a short flight and once again I was reminded why I ALWAYS fly Delta if at all possible. United crew hid in the galley the whole trip wit lititle to no interaction with passengers. My flight today on Delta was great; food really excellent (Chicken Tika) and the crew was great as usual. Delta remains the best."

It took,me some time to convince my fellow passengers that the loss of the APU was not a safety-of-flight issue. Also, a humongous passenger waddled down to our row and wedged herself into the window seat just before the doors closed. She immediately wanted to raise the seat divider, claiming that it was uncomfortable. The middle seat passenger insisted that she wanted to have it down, correctly pointing out that she had paid for a whole space. Despite the seat divider, the obese person's body oozed over and below into the middle seat during the flight, cramming the middle passenger. These folks Need to buy a second seat..."

During this time, we were not offered refreshments, nor were we offered any type of "compensatory benefit" for our delay (e.g., free Wi-Fi, vouchers good toward a future flight (a $30 voucher per passenger would seem appropriate), additional SkyMiles (3000-5000 SkyMiles would seem appropriate), etc.)."

The attendants should monitor better what is brought onboard. I thought they were rude. And it took almost an hr to get our luggage at the carosel."

They basically told me to go f**k myself and file a complaint. They can eat a d**k."

I then stood in a line that did not move for over ten minutes, with only three people in front of me, while 6-7 desks were empty and doing nothing but talking amongst each other. I then called the guy that scanned my bags back over to ask why I was still standing there while my next flight was about to board and he told me I'd been rebooked!! I didn't want to wait for the next flight so then had to sprint, with my bags, from terminal 2 to 7 (which if you've ever walked through LAX you'd understand how unpleasant that was alone). I did make the flight, but just, thanks only to the girls at the checkout counter who were actually willing to help me, although not eager to."

Pros: "They were always very attentive to let you know about gate changes or seat changes. Which to me personally is very important. I have had very bad experiences with other airlines in the past because they did not communicate properly their gate change and I missed my flight and missed events I was flying for. Excellent job to United for communicating gate changes very well! They did not break any of my luggage and the seats were fairly comfortable. The employees were also very attentive and willing to answer any questions."
Cons: "It was a bit confusing gate wise. I did have to ask an employee what was going on but they cleared up the confusion pretty quick. I flew on a jet verses a regular plane, and it was very loud. I had my movie turned up all the way with headphones and I still could barely hear it. It wasn't the fact that I couldn't hear my movie but in general it just hurt my ears. I was sitting towards the back of the jet though so I'm assuming if I was closer to the front it wouldn't have been as bad? Overall it was still a great experience"

This was our first time flying with United in a while and it will definitely be our last."

You think you are getting a good fare but the fees have made my trip almost three times the initial fare. United is testing similar "economy" fares. None of this information is presented upfront so it's a bait and switch scenario. Also, trying to reach a human being is nearly impossible. I feel sorry for the customer service reps, they should get hazard pay. They have to try to justify these ridiculous policies. Save yourself money and frustration and NEVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!!!!!"

Cons: "I didn't expect much because it's Frontier, but the plane was so dirty and gross- it looked like it hadn't been cleaned/vacuumed/wiped down in a long time. The bathroom was clogged and also extremely dirty. When I informed the crew that it needed some help, they just scoffed at me and said it wasn't their job. The flight attendants did no actual attending. They counted heads at the beginning and sat in the back for the entire flight. They didn't do safety protocols, they offered no help when other passengers needed, didn't take the time on a 4 hour flight to ask if you wanted to buy a drink(cause you know, it's frontier and they don't even offer water without charging). I have never been a big fan of Frontier, but after this flight, I don't care if I need to pay double to avoid flying with them(it actually doesn't save you much after you pay for carry-ons). AVOID FRONTIER IF POSSIBLE."

Of course nowhere did it mention that if I simply checked in at the airport instead of doing it online beforehand, I could be assigned seats and it wouldn't cost me anything. I drop $1000+ on airfare, checked bags, and sneaky extra fees, and you can't even give me a $.50 can of soda for free? I've flown Frontier before, but the customer service has gone downhill in the past few years. I will never use this airline again and I encourage others to do the same. They're providing an inferior service and staying in business by offering "cheaper airfair" which they make up for by tacking on exorbitant luggage fees, sneaky online fees, and neglecting customer comfort."

After my experience on the first flight it didn't exactly surprise me that they were going to charge me to carry on my bag, But it was more expensive to carry it on than to check it! When I expressed my disapproval the lady I was talking with said, "You're lucky I don't charge you $60." This is possibly the worst customer service I have ever received in my life! I will never, NEVER fly Frontier again."

Cons: "On our departing flight my husband and I had gotten us and our 4 kids up to the gate only to realize I had forgotten to add my lap child to my ticket. I get that it was not convenient but the lady was very short and rude and angry with us, she treated us like complete idiots. While it was an unfortunate thing to have slip my mind, it happens! I was bound to forget something when packing and prepping for me and 4 kids to travel. We offered to show our post on Facebook when our daughter was born as proof of age. But she gufawed that ridiculous idea. Because obviously we could have set up fake accounts and hacked the dates to make it look like our kids was under 2!! Really!?? A social security card doesn't even show birth dates. Anyway, the whole charade left us feeling very embarrassed, frustrated and like we were criminals or something. She handled things very unprofessionally and showed us no empathy whatsoever. She told us we would not be allowed onto our return flight without a ss card or birth cert. Which we got when we reached our destination. Upon boarding for the return flight the workers were great. They let us right on the flight and didn't even ask for the birth cert. or anything. They used common sense. Which is what I wished this other flight attendant had more of."
