Cons: Minivan I had paid for was not available when I arrived. Rate more than doubled after insurance. Finally, the car I got was old and beat up... should have gone with Avis/Hertz; same price at the end of the day...STAY AWAY

Don’t rent from this place!
Cons: Upon arrival they claimed that my reservation was not valid because it was made an hour before. Then they claimed that the class of car I booked was unavailable and wanted a $50 a day upgrade with $30 insurance. After an hour and a half wait, I left. The worst service that I have ever had!

not clear ionformation
Pros: the car was good and in good conditions very economic
Cons: Troubles in getting to Ace, once the office show up with other name , the information about return timing was misundesrtood I guess because of language. we had to return the car at 2 /3 of the 4 th rental day , but as we had to wait for our transfer to the airport at 4:00 and in front of parking garage, we ask if we could keep luggage inside the car . they end up charging on more dar because of that hour and forgetting the inicial conversation.

Horrendous customer service, playing tricks
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Showed up at 9 and was told there were no carsc and the local branch couldn't cancel the reservation. That we had to call ace directly, which did not route me to anyone helpful. So I couldn't cancel it. Went back 1 hours later, was told I had to wait 3 hours more for a car. By the time I got that car, it was Manual and we didn't know how to drive it. the only automatic they had was $93/ day. They ended up giving me a refund, which they say they couldn't do in the beginning. Also their lot was full of cars!

False Andre misleading information
Cons: The price advertised for my rental car was fake. When I arrived at the rental agency, I was told I needed to pay $113 more and put $2,700 as a deposit on my credit card. They also refused to refund me the money I paid on kayak. This is a complete rip off! Kayak needs to do a better job verifying prices beforehand putting it on its website.

Pretty much a scam
Cons: Ace contracted through Mex rental car. We arrived after our designated arrival time, yet when we arrived we were told that they only hold our reservation for an hour before we loose our deposit. They they tried to book us a new reservation at the daily tourist rates which are double the price we originally booked. I could not find any notice saying that reservations are only held for 1 hour. On top of that, we were completely ignored for a 30 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Worst rental experience I have ever had.

probably won't book a car on kayak again
Cons: The place did not exist! We wandered around for hours and asked many locals and they said the place does not exist. My husband called Ace for us and they told us where it was supposed to be. We already were on that street and walked back and forth and it wasn't there. When they connected my husband to the "local branch" it took forever for someone to answer and when someone did it wasn't Ace. What a waste of hours of my trip! Finally I had to rent last minute from another company for a really high rate. Absolute nightmare of a car rental experience.
