Pros:The price for the car was a really good value.
Cons:I would like the car to have been a bit cleaner.

Pros:The Portland PDX agents were some of the least helpful, argumentative, callous customer service I have ever experienced. Highlights include asking for a manager twice, being redirected to an assistant manager who attempted to escort us away and void our reservation and then being told by the manager that we should have asked for her. We spent 3 hours at the pick up location and had to go back and forth twice to PDX on a shuttle and call Alamo customer service. The manager charged over $500 to my debit card for a reservation that was originally $109 without mentioning the price change and became immediately defensive and rude when asked about it. Overall, worst car rental to date and will not be using Alamo again or recommending it. Totally rerouted our trip, forced us to change our road trip, cancel camping reservations, purchase new Amtrak tickets and drive over the cascades in the dark.

Pros:The car worked well and was reasonably priced. Drop-off was easy.
Cons:I booked through Alamo (even payed a bit extra) because they were advertised as having an on-airport location. However, I arrived to find their on-airport location closed and thus needed to take a shuttle. The shuttles were quite busy, so I had to wait for a 2nd shuttle, which then meant a long line on the other end at the pick-up counter. The car I received had it's windows down as it sat in the parking lot, which I found odd. I thought it might have been an attempt to get rid of an odor, but there was none to speak of. Other than that, nothing to note.
Pros:I liked the fact that you got to pick your car depending upon the category you chose. I ended up choosing the Kia Soul. When I first booked my reservation I didn't even know that was an option. Also the process of returning the car and getting on the shuttle was very quick.
Cons:Their customer service when I was first picking up the car was terrible. Both workers didn't acknowledge me until after I had been standing there for 15 minutes. They had poor attitudes about being there.
Pros:Loved the car . It was nice.
Cons:We almost missed our flight. I had to pay $125 to check in all of our bags bease there was no way we could run with all of our luggage to the gate. We sat at your gate for 2 hours waiting for you to open. Thank god we were the first ones there. There was a line of 10 cars behind us. If we were further back in the line we would have missed our flight. Plus we had planned on eating breakfast before we got on the plane but didn't get to. We were starving for our 6 hour flight.
Pros:The people at check-in were very knowledgeable and friendly. The car was very comfortable and though i didn't take many of the upgrades I appreciated the option of having them. When I found out there was an additional $400 I'd need to pay i was frustrated, but they worked had set it right when it wasn't their fault (it was kayak's fault and my own).
Cons:I got a bit upset when I found out I had to pay and extra $25 a day because I am 2 weeks away from being 25. I understand the charge, but nowhere did i see it listed. I may have missed it, but I looked for it so it isn't well advertised which is frustrating when planning vacation cost for someone my age $125 is a bit of money to be surprised about
