The hotel was nice overall and the front staff was very friendly and efficient. The hotel seemed very clean and I was always acknowledged by the hotel staff. The hotel restaurant was very good and has amazing views. I did not encounter any problems while I was there. I thought the hotel was in desperate need of a refresh or update. The rooms and the entire hotel seemed a bit dated. I stayed on the Captains Deck and the rooms were a bit small and did not impress. The sink did not drain properly. The most disappointing part of the trip was the breakfast which was never more than like warm at best. It come from the kitchen which is far away. The breakfast had 3 warm choices and one was always potatoes that were recycled from the night before. Not sure if I would spend that kind of money to stay at that hotel again.
Great hotel for business
The view from our room was excellent. The location was great as well. Within walking distance to the 5th ave. mall and lots of great eating establishments. Hotel was nice, clean and staff was very friendly. Hotel could use some renovations. The decor in the hallways looks like it came from the 70s. The bathrooms are a little small, expecllly in the shower.
Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of food and shopping. Had to pay and additional 20 dollars a day to park my own car. The hotel did not own the lot. The desk clerk filled out the passes incorrectly and I received a parking ticket. Took some arguing but I was able to get the hotel to reverse the parking charges so I can pay for the ticket.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Make sure to park in the Captain Cook garage and have your parking ticket validated. We were able to walk to dinner and shopping from our hotel - nice!
Excellent fitness facilities Wonderful view Convenient to downtown locations
The location was wonderful. Both times we stayed there, about a week apart, we were given rooms right next to the elevators which ran all night long.
Their suggestion of another hotel They refused to check me in. Angel, the woman processing my check-in could not find my reservation. She was rude and inhospitable. I will never go back.
Front office desk staff was fairly good. Close proximity to airport (~5 miles). Decent view from our 11th floor window. The carpet in the halls were quite stained, our AC in the room did not cool. The bathroom vent fan did work at all. There was a tube of caulk left on the floor. There were several things that were not clean including the bathroom counter and trim, and bathroom vent. The TV remote for the old tube-type TV did not work and the battery cover was just taped on. The staff did bring us a fan to cool off the room. That helped the temperature some, but largely the reason for running the AC unit was for cover noise so we wouldn't hear other rooms or outside noise as well as being able to close the blinds to make it darker so we could get to sleep early for our 2:30AM wake-up time for our flight.
Close enough to everything that you could walk. Large parking lot. Big room. Hotel itself is a bit dated and could use a makeover. Friendly staff. Rooms smelled a little musty.
Not much the lobby was deceptivly clean and well built then going up stairs total opposite Room was broken in so many ways yellow stains in tub back splash broken like it had been punched base board not even attached to wall in most places entry door was loose which makes security an issue quick easy repairs unless maintenece is completely incompotent just about every applience out dated and worn down i could repair all damages in about 2 hrs not very happy and was looking for a month or more stay just doing trial run wont stay again and will not let any friends stay there.
It is always a great experience at the Inlet Tower. I always walk into a clean room, with a great view overlooking the city. The employees give great customer service, whether it be at the front desk, at the bar, or at the resturaunt. You cannot beat the quality for the price.
location to airport
Compared to other Hotel rates in area, rates were great. Room was large and had a microwave and refridgerator. Restaurant had good food. Bad- hotel is dated and needs to be renovated. Tv was 20 plus years. Bath had mold around tub and hot water was like warm. Sheets were wrinkled like maybe they weren't changed. They also were very thin. There was no fitted mattress pad or a fitted sheet. Mattress was warn out and had lumps.
Nick at the front desk was courteous, helpful, and professional. Always greeted me with a smile and willing to help. Elevator was slow and only one was working
Good location. Spacious room. Comfortable beds. Nice market nearby. Walkable to city center and parks/trails.
Coffee in lobby. Convenient to restaurants. The price for a cup of coffee
excellent view could not sleep due tp bed bugs
I like inlet towers for the value Shower drain very slow to drain. Toilet awkward location behind bathroom door. Old facilities. Hair on couch. Dirty baseboards. Poor air circulation.
Location is great for shopping and downtown restaurants. Bath was in need of updating. Very limited parking lot. First floor check-in area was cramped, cluttered and needed updating.
aCean and well-located. Getting up in the dark to catch a plane--not the hotel's fault.
Location Staff was rude and unprofessional, not to us but witnessed towards another guest. Hotel is old, outdated and needs a major remodel.
Being downtown was convenient. I regret getting an upgrade from the 3rd floor to the 12th because I ended up with an uncomfortable bed that sagged so much it felt indented. Having to pay for parking sucked. And my bed was so indented that I could not get comfortable. The pillows are too thick too.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly. They just smiled and welcomed us back when we were in and out all night with a big group of friends who also had rooms.
Location, accessibility, value for price, helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms False fire alarm later announced as a drill at 5:30 am.
The king bed was comfy, and the balcony was neat (though I'd get more use from it in the summer months...thought for next time). I found the amenities more lacking than I'd expected. I was pretty sure I saw cable TV listed, but the remote control's guide feature didn't work, and there weren't many channels. There was no mini-fridge; I thought those were pretty much standard in any hotel above "motor lodge" class. The toiletries (shampoo, body wash, etc) came out of dispensers). There were only a few cheap plastic cups in the room...so cheap that two of them were cracked and unusable before I even got them out of the plastic wrapper. I also expected parking to be included; instead, it was an extra 12 bucks. That's not awful, but for $100 a night you should be able to toss in parking.
Location, staff most helpful with travel needs. Daily room rate costly
The room was great. Windows were dirty but view was great anyway
The staff was particularly helpful in getting dinner reservations and if you need it ask at the front desk to borrow an umbrella.
The staff was very helpful. We are Gold members and since the Lounge is now closed on the weekend, we were given a voucher for a free continental breakfast in their restaurant. We were given late checkout, which we needed because we had a late flight from Anchorage. We didn't like that the Lounge was closed on the weekend. It was also a little pricey. They don't have a shuttle from the airport, although it seemed that many other hotels did.
Enjoyed my entire stay. No transportation from airport. Restaurants are very expensive, although the food is good.
Comfort, big bath and the view. No small refrigerator for my insulin.
I've had so many great memories here. I prefer this hotel to the Cook as the rooms are slightly larger and the decor doesn't make liberal Alaskans uncomfortable. The rooms are smaller than the hotels in midtown, and the restaurant in the hotel are not as interesting as the other downtown restaurants.
Nice large suite. Clean, comfortable. Good location downtown. Hotels in downtown Anchorage are expensive, although this one was a little more reasonable than others. Room had a a slightly smoky smell when first entering ( it is a non smoking hotel). Mention to desk on check out and they said they would check it.
It's great location for my meetings and also walking distance to mall and restaurants. Nothing, every time we stay there, we are treated great and staff always with great smiles day or night.
LARGE ROOM IT was not a full service hotel but there was a hotel across the street that owned it and you could use there things.
Everything worked well. Comfy bed My room (134) had a lot of noise from L street.
Room very spacious; comfy bed & pillows; good breakfast.
Housekeepers were good. The internet was "down" for three of our four days there and they didn't seem to care about fixing it. Seemed to be a little irritated that I would ask when it was going to be fixed. The swimming pool and hot tub were out of order for 2.5 of our four day stay and again they couldn't tell me when it would be functional and didn't seem to care. We were there with a grandson and the swimming was one of the main reasons we selected this motel. The front desk people were nice but were young and not very experienced or helpful. I believe there is a management problem and generally a lack of customer service. The price also was too high as compared to other area motels.
Sale price was great! Nice breakfast. Great location Paint peeling in bathroom. Sinks dirty. Remote battery dead
The room was a nice size and the breakfast was good. When we walked into the motel, there were people sleeping on the couches in the entry way with their luggage, children running around in and out of the pool area, screaming and hollering. The pool hours didn't seem to make a bit of difference, and they put is in a room directly across from the pool.
They are very strict for guests to respect noise and consideration of other guests. That is a good thing. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast was appreciated but not memorable. Room cost was low compared to other other hotels but you get what you pay for. Could have done a better job of vacuuming room and lamp was missing a knob so could turn it on or off.
Has microwave and refrigerator and lovely mural on the wall in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Located downtown. There wasn't air conditioning in the rooms and it did get a little warm even at the end of May.
Overall a great stay for a great price! Extremely friendly staff. Only thing- thin walls with noisy neighbors.
Friendly staff, great price, great location, building is secure at night the room Was a bit cold and I couldn't find the thermostat and the bagel I got at breakfast was a kind of stale
Friendly staff willing to help. There could be more seating for b/f;when there's a group it's a tight fit!
I love staying at Quality Inn Downtown. The staff was exceptional and made our stay worthwhile.
Location to downtown and bus lines. Was kind of busy the night I checked in so it took a while for phones to be answered. Only on person at desk.
Free breakfast and friendly staff! A little confused about check out time( itinerary said something different than hotel). Children in the room next to us were noisy
The staff made you feel as though you were home.
No doubt to their excellent service. Neat and tidy room made our stay comfortable. Location is great that we could reach out when just on foot. Definitely will stay with them for our next stay in anchorage.
