Never had a chance to pick up rental. Upon arrival at the Avis desk I was told the reservation could not be honored. No call, no text and after an $80 UBER to reach the airport for the sole purpose of picking up the car. Needed to do a walk up rental with another company and paid dearly. To make matters worse, the Avis agent told me she couldn’t help with a refund. When I contacted Kayak as the agent instructed, I was referred back to Avis. So now that transaction is in limbo and I’m disappointed and annoyed.Reviewed Jul 25 2026

There was a 45 minute wait at the counter and another 1 hr wait to actualy get a car. I ended up waiting about 2 hrs from arriving at the car rental counter to actually getting a car. The car itself was fine and the return was smooth and fast.Reviewed Jul 23 2026

They were overbooked and people waited in line for hours for customers to return cars. I waited for a couple of hours then left because I could no longer wait. I did not get a car because I had to finish preparing for my vacation. Terrible experience and I could not believe I was at a Avis rental place. Very poor customer service.Reviewed Jul 22 2026

The deposit turned out to be 300 % higher than expected. Had to purchase a much more expensive insurance just so I could avoid the ridiculously high deposit of 80.000 dollars for a Skoda Kamiq. What a jokeReviewed Jul 22 2026

Did not know until picking up that the insurance coverage was not through Avis and they explained that if I had damage to vehicle Avis would bill me and I would have to bill 3rd party. Seriously?! All ended well with no damage.Reviewed Jul 21 2026

Convertible mustang was a complete mess inside and out. Someone previously partially ripped/damaged the exhaust so it sounded like a wounded duck. Shotty pre-inspection by Avis. Inside door handles covered in greasy finger prints from sun lotion and bird s@#$ all over the hood and convertible top. Won't rent from Avis again.Reviewed Jul 21 2026

The staff approach was generally non helpful. Verging on rude. That was while organizing the rental. When the vehicle was returned, there was no staff to greet and guide that all was good and where the bus, for return to terminal, was. I had to ask for guidance.
