My complaint is not with Hertz but with Kayak. I specifically asked for a rental car pickup at Sea-Tac airport and Kayak gave me a rental that had to be picked up in Bellevue. I would not use Kayak again to rent a car or recommend that anyone else use them because of this deceptive tactic.

Car was dirty, the windshield wiper were worn out/ had to buy new ones. The rear window was opaque and was unable to see through. Would not rent from them again.

Cons:

I was going to drop the key into the drop box, while I see that on the top of the drop box it said that the rental record need to be dropped together. However in the rental record page it said that express returns is not available at all locations. This is kind of confusing.

Hertz was good but I went through Kayak to get a rental car from SeaTac airport and Kayak used Hotwire to get my Rental car. I was very disappointed in Hotwire, instead of my rental car being at the Airport, it was in Bellevue, which I had to pay a Taxi $45 to get to Hertz in Bellevue. Extremely Disappointed.

I did NOT rent from Avis. My intention was to rent an Avis car at Sea-Tac airport thus I selected Sea-Tac airport. Avis app steered(ahem) me to a vehicle in Bellevue by switching the pickup location as I worked through the reservation process. I believe I fell victim to a” bait and switch” where the search process shows cheap rental rates close to desired pickup location without highlighting the change thus ensnaring me as a customer. I canceled with Avis and rented elsewhere.

Cons:

Was not at the airport and needed a car immediately and was required to pay over $700.00 for car rental. A taxi was needed to get to the rental place as they did not pick up that far out. Never kayak again
