Good rate as it's not easy to find a decent room for under $100/night in LA area. Staff is professional. There's a security guard in the parking lot at night. For the room I stayed in, the bathroom had a strong smell - it could be someone smoked in there even though it's supposed to be a non-smoking room. The neighborhood is sketchy. "Paid" Wifi connection was way too slow that I had to ask for a refund. I've stayed at other Motel 6 locations for similar rate with nicer room.
I loved the room overall. It felt like a studio apartment. Gave me a home feel and not like I'm in a hote room. Staff was extra friendly and helpful. Only thing I didn't really like was the parking situation.
Big and comfortable bed, lot of space in room Shower didn't work, we used bucket to shower ourselves. When we started water to run, thousands of ants came into the bath. Seriously, it was terrible and freaky, I even filmed it! Phe
The staff is hospital, room and bathroom size is OK, nothing special.
Locked door works I reserved a non - smoking room n gave my non- smoking room away. The smell was disgusting, the towels smelled dirty, tiny and were rough. There were cigarette buds behind the bed and we had a refrigerator that didn't work. I let the staff know three times that the refrigerator wasn't working and they give me the run around. The staff let me know there was no refund and the staff are Very Rude!
Close to freeways. Really dirty. Carved graffiti on bathroom mirror. Bed was smelled and really uncomfortable. No soap offered at all. Not even hand soap. Terrible customer service. Wouldn't even let me check a bit early.
Not at all. Horrible room. Tiny. Pubic hair/spiders in bathroom and super rude staff. Never going back
nice quiet and clean tv channels suck
Front desk was very nice. It was peaceful and very clean. The air conditioner didn't get the temper I prefer.
The staff was really friendly and helpful when I needed it. The tv didn't have a wide selection, it didn't allow you to change to watch a dvd (I had brought my xbox along) my bathroom door appeared as if someone punched a hole in it & yanked the door open while it was locked. The room also had a kind of musky odor to it. But for $60 a night I got what I paid for.
I really liked how the room was remodel and the price. I did not like the service at all. It was so unprofessional and they were rude.
Booked 11 days, but added a couple of additional nights. Jasu the proprietor offered excellent reduced rates for my 'booked' stay. Free Wi-Fi and daily cleanups were appreciated. Safe area with no strange characters about. 605 and 91 were nearby as well as well as restaurants. Would stay there again. Charges for ice to fill your room bucket. Just a few TV channels.
The room was very clean. The location wasn't That desirable
The hotel is conveniently located and fairly well kept. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hairdryer. There was also a bathtub, not just a shower. There was also a little table and chairs. Parking was free and fast food and gas is nearby. The area of town isn't great, but it's okay. We felt safe enough. The walls are a little thin, but not too bad. The bedding was just the sheets and the bedspread - though we probably could have got a blanket if we asked. The heater was loud, but worked.
Super friendly staff and extremely clean rooms. Will definitely stay there again. Loved having the microwave and refrigerator in the room. Also it was very conveniently located :-) Beds were a little hard and just a few noisy neighbors, the walls are kinda thin.
The room was in good condition. No dresser and no blow dryer in room. Beds were clean. Pretty average for 2star hotel. The staff did try to keep an extra $10 from my change. The male staff made me go to the arm to pay him because he couldn't figure out his debit machine. When we came back the female role me my payment was $95. T was 85. then purposely gave me wrong chang
The ceilings are a special artistic treat! Simply amazing It's not in an area you wanna stay but it's close to where you wanna go!
The service was great, the room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating! There is also a police station a couple of blocks away. The area is shoddy at best and the clientele was a bit shady --during my stay I saw several people use a room for an hour or two followed by a quick clean up.
This hotel was in a questionable neighborhood my employees stay here I booked their rooms they very frightened and got very little sleep. There was no hot water and ants in the shower. same as above
The room was clean and comfortable. Large screen, plenty of room, good internet. The wood floors better than carpet. The ceiling was painted with a mural which gave the room character. This was as good a 2 star that I have seen, and better than some 3's. The towels were not smooth, but rather rough; definitely need softner.
Friendly Staff. Very hospitable. No coffee pot in the room and tried to order food to be delivered with absolutely no luck.
Rooms were okay Mattress too hard. No ice available. Could also use small coffee pots with all the supplies in room. Had to go out and buy coffee in the morning.
Very nice people, close-enough to the Aquarium, etc., parking right in front of the room. Little fridge, microwave, hair dryer. Definitely adequate for our needs. The kid got a kick out of the black light painting on the ceiling. Bed was a little hard, not awful. Could've used a couple extra pillows and the soap is very tiny.
I love that this hotel had wifi! It really helped on my trip
Good location and staff. Rooms are clean, site is in decent neighborhood and a good value for the money. Bathrooms are a bit dated but clean and functional. Easy access to LA area right off the PCH. It's a comfortable place to stay for the money. Contential breakfast is decent. Don't expect a luxury hotel, but it's decent & comfortable for the money. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for good value.
The ambiance of the room/place is not good. My 6-year old son said the place is creepy. I didn't like our room,1st day my son and i couldn't sleep because of the 2 mystery doors. My husband called the office and asked what are those two creepy doors. They said the 1st door is an old kitchen and 2nd one is a connecting door to the other room. The bedsheets were pretty dirty,my husband asked them to change it but they didnt. They just fixed it. Good thing i am not scared of spiders. In the bathroom you will see some. No microwave. I am sorry for the bad review. What i like is that the motel is near the airport and free parking.
That I would not cancel my reservation.
Location and breakfast. rooms clean and very well maintained
Everything! The manager was nice the room was clean and the view was nice.
The lady owner at the front desk will price match and/or will have a lower price than priceline. Mattress was horrible. Springs poking you in everything.
Spacious rooms Price, should be lowered on sun-thurs
It was very quiet and it was a nice place to stay were the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good not much but it's was a good way to the morning I like everything
room size was fairly large for the cheap price we paid
I booked a room for one night for my family. This place is the scariest motel ever. It basically is used for long term stays by everyone there. They must keep one or two for nightly stays. I saw alot of activity going on here that was very scary to myself and my family. We were basically confined to our room because we were so frightened. I didn't even sleep the whole night because I thought something might happen. So please please please if you have a family DO NOT stay here.
Beautiful property, Huge room, clean very confortable nothing

My daughter and I checked into our room which was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It was not. The room had patches all over the walls where it looked like someone kicked and punched holes. The carpet was stained, frayed, and lumpy. The bed was pathetic and the dresser drawers wouldn't shut and they had graffiti on the inside of them. We told the lady that we could not stay there. So she gave us a key to a new room. It was better - or so I thought it would be. When I went to take a shower, I turned on the tub faucet and a CHUNK of tiny ants spurted out. This place is next to a nasty little liquor store where creeps hang out. It appears that some of the rooms are occupied by long-term renters who are scary.
The room was clean. The road noise was pretty bad, the smell of the room was unusual, there was a homeless looking person wheeling a shopping cart through the parking lot in the early evening. I will never stay at a one star hotel again.

I thought this hotel was nice and very quiet. Staff was friendly and the hotel was well taken care of. They had a very nice flower garden down the whole front of the hotel. The only negative thing I can say is that the pool waas freezing.
It was disgusting! Bathroom was dirty. No wifi connection
The pool was closed and their idea of continental breakfast was cereal and bananas. :(
Cheap, friendly, close to town. No TP in the room upon arrival, clearly layers of carpetting piled on each other, desk clerk lost four fingers on one hand.
nothing everything cancelled our reservations I would never consider staying at the Vagabond. The male at the desk was very inconsiderate. No customer service.
Checking Out There was no power when we got there so we were given candles to light the rooms. No electricity for two days. Roomed smelled and the candles they gave us smelled worse.
The room was a good size, but that's about where the compliments end. Some of the staff were very friendly, but there seemed to be some neglect of keeping things on track at the front desk. *see the rest of my review* The parking was inadequate to say the least. The flooring in the bathroom was coming up in several places. The beds were VERY loud, so not great when you're trying not to wake up everyone else in the room when you move any bit. The breakfast, while I didn't expect much, was even worse then expected. There was only apples, bananas, some prepackaged danishes, mini super sweet chocolate chip muffins, 2 types of cereal in some plastic storage containers to pour from, and then the breakfast drink in a fountain drink style machine. The pool was unheated, not that I really expected it to be, and for some reason, you weren't allowed to get back to your room, after going in the pool, using the elevator. The walls of the hallway had air pockets in the paint. It seemed like it needed a renovation about 10+ years ago and they're still putting it off. Windows don't really do much to keep out sound or air. The AC never got the room cool at night even when we had it at 60° the entire stay. The elevator was very janky and made weird noises as it slowly moved. There were so many things wrong, I'm sure I'm forgetting many. Also, while I was there, someone came out of the elevator smoking a lit cigarette which made the elevator just a cloud of smoke. I have asthma and smoke highly affects me and I was shocked. I braved the elevator with my shirt over my face and trying to hold my breath as long as possible since I was on the top floor and wasn't able to take the stairs. I then went straight to my room to call the front desk so they could do something about it, and the line was busy. I assumed it was still busy down there seeing as I just came from there, so waited a few minutes and tried again, and got the same thing. I tried a few more times over the next 15-20 minutes and it was a busy tone the whole time. I could see the front desk from my room's window and so I checked to see if it was really that busy right then, and it looked empty other than the worker behind the desk. I saw the guy there not on the phone and had called right before and after I looked out the window and still got nothing. As it was already almost 10 and my friends had already gone to bed; I couldn't keep calling the front desk. When I told them in the morning at check out, they basically said that there is nothing they can do about what people choose to do when they know they're not supposed to do said thing. Maybe they could've if they'd picked up the phone and not left it off the hook. They had video camera too. This seems neglectful of them. I will not be going back for many reasons and do not recommend to others.
The staff was great. A very clean hotel. This hotel is out dated. Needs paint and upgraded bathrooms. Carpet is worn so it looks dirty, which it isnt. It also needs more parking. Has one third that it needs. Our car was three deep. Also this is not the best neighborhood!!! Y-fi didn't work most of the time. The continental breakfast could be upgraded also. 2 cerals, coffee, juice, bananas and chocolate chip mini-muffins. That was it.
Nothing. Stayed there on a Friday night and the music from restaurant/club across the street was blaring till about 2am. Bathroom was practically in disrepair. Sink faucet knob turned all the way around and didn't stop-- you had to find the sweet spot to turn it off. Tub drain plug was laying outside drain. Location was sketchy. Key card didn't work at the back entrance, so I had to walk all the way around. When I told the front desk person that I needed a new key card, he said I didn't-- it worked everywhere else except the back door.
Reasonably priced, close to nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bus station and attractions. Awoke in the middle of one of the nights to a honking car in the parking lot. Lots of traffic noise in this location. Poor breakfast choices. No air conditioning in the hallways.
It was a great deal, close enough to the convention center, the room was big and nice.
Nothing Unclean, bad service, not recommended to stay
Location was good. Bed was fixed and clean. Welcoming enough. Facilities and rooms need updating. Rust on anything metal and needs new paint. For just an overnight stay it was fine but not for a vacation stay.
Nothing: got a non smoking room but the room smelled like smoke. This hotel should have been half the cost of what it charges. I got the room because of cost and conveniency. As I get to my car to go run an errand, police officer followed me out and pulled me over. He questioned me and when I told that I was just visiting, he informed me not to go back because of the suspicious activities going on in that hotel. I ended up only staying one night instead of the 2 nights and lost out on my money. I highly suggest you take this hotel off your site.
Last minute search same night. Beds a WOW. Two king excellent price. Fast, friendly check in. Hope to have a reason for this area again! Small couch; space efficient, clean bath, flat screen, microwave, fridge, air conditioning! Awakened happy.

No rif raf nice and quiet nothing stollen. Would have liked to know if there were weekly rates at a discounted price.
They remodeled the place but they need new towels still had the same old ones.
The bed took up all the space but it was a good size alot of movie channels and fridge The microwave was down the hall i didnt have a real comforter blanket the sheets were from walmart they had roaches and my towels were dirty looked like there were boogers on it I'll never stay there again
Keep it clean Bathroom did not have curtains no privacy
Noting Everything would not stay here
wifi works ok. Staff are kind. parking lot pretty small. whole building is extremely small as well. kinda old. Poor facility. No breakfast. No refrigerator. Air-conditioner kinda annoying. Looks not that safe.
The area is unsafe
That I was able to cancel my reservation and get my money back! EVERYTHING! GHETTO! Very shady. A lot of illegal activities going around at the same time.
I thought it was very clean. I had stayed in some other rooms one in compton one in Carson one in lakewood. The ones in Carson and lakewood were disgusting. This place was clean they painted the rooms the bathroom was clean it was just very small. Decent flat screen tv and excellent staff. It's an Indian husband and wife anything I needed they were more than happy to help. There were a few ants in the bathroom they came and sprayed. It was very quiet also. I would definitely stay there again you can't beat $46 a night with it as nice as it was. Every other place that cheap was just disgusting. They also had free wifi that was a nice speed. The only thing I didn't like was how small the room was and there was no refrigerator or ice machine. There was a microwave in the lobby and if I asked the staff for ice they'd get it from their apt but I didn't like bothering them too much. If they put refrigerators the place would be perfect. We
good service! no
Price is ok for the hotel may be a little more expensive. If you sleep downstairs you can not sleep due to squek noises of the upstairs floor. The environment not look safe. Thé bathroom is so small that we could not use it. Limited amount öf parking. WiFi is good.
I liked how close it was to LA. There wasn't much parking and I didn't feel comfortable leaving things in my car.
Just clean The location, the ambience , almost everything very expensive because nothing worth the pain
Tv The pillows were small, the toilet broke out of no where? Was kind of old stuff with rust, very ghetto for having 7.5 rating!
n/a Shower was dirty, there was hair that did not belong to me in the sink, and the two flat pillows provided were not sufficient for two people.
Nothing Everything was dirty plus mattres was really hard!!!
All HD channels suspicious activity surrounding the hotel The parking spaces are very close together The staff was rude Ther room had a leak from the AC and carpet was wet The bed is rock hard
