Wonderful
Anonymous, Dec 2024 - Best Western Royal Sun Inn & Suites
My Octogenarian Mom wanted a staycation downtown to attend the 4th Ave Street Fair, and this was the best choice we could find (the area is considered pretty dodgy with unchecked and highly numerous homeless population the city is doing nothing to fix like any urban downtown area seems to be these days). We were so pleasantly surprised at the work and effort the inn's staff puts forth to keep the ...

Pros (+) After changing to 3 rooms everything went well, except that the carpet was dirty but not as the other 2 rooms
Cons (-) Carpet, shower, give me the king size that I requested

Mediocre
Sanjiv, Sep 2019 - Best Western Royal Sun Inn & Suites
Pros (+) I liked the breakfast restaurant.
Cons (-) The 3am fire alarm was very aggravating. And both my keycards not working when returning to room and having to go back to the office was extra aggravating.

Pros (+) Good hot breakfast with plenty of choices (several fruits), nice staff, bed comfortable and clean, relatively quiet. We have rarely been on site for the afternoon snacks and drinks, but that's a nice perk. Good value for the money.
Cons (-) Older hotel with a lot of minor things that need fixing or updating. In our room, the door wouldn't close without extreme pressure or slamming, the toilet was loose on the floor bolts, the hot and cold water faucets at the sink were reversed, and there was a large gap under the door letting in cold, in our case, air. But we stay here often and have had few problems.

Roger, Nov 2017 - Best Western Royal Sun Inn & Suites
Pros (+) The breakfast was better than the usual continental buffet. The waitstaff were pleasant and efficient. Clean room. The air conditioning was remarkably quiet and worked well. Pool was nice.
Cons (-) The auto sensing light switch in the bathroom was a nuisance. Glaring light if you got up to use the bathroom in the night. Turned off while you took a shower.

Pros (+) I'm traveling across country with my family and needed a good place to rest for the night. This hotel had a comfortable room, a pool for my kids to blow off steam at, and we all felt better for the next day's travels.

Pros (+) This hotel is not only conveniently located, it is clean and com the rooms have been renovated smartly. And they offer free breakfast to order. We would certainly go back.

Very good
Anonymous, Feb 2017 - Best Western Royal Sun Inn & Suites
Pros (+) Although the bathroom is very small, we liked the walk-in shower with bars to hold on to. A handicapped room was not available, and this did fine for us.
Cons (-) The pillows are too small and uncomfortable. The bed was not as pillowy as in other BW's, but we had a good night's sleep. We could not figure out how to work the A/C, and there were no printed instructions anywhere in the room, so the room was warmer and stuffier than we like.

Okay
Elaine, Feb 2017 - Best Western InnSuites Tucson Foothills Hotel & Suites
Pros (+) Free happy hour drinks. Pool and hot tub, however, I would have used it more if it didn't close at 10p.m. (Too early)
Cons (-) Older and needs renovation. Unpleasant smell in the room. Old, insecure windows.
