Pros: Super clean, comfortable, 24 hr front desk, great breakfast, room was quiet even though there was an event occurring, free internet, smelled nice.
Cons: Dog in lobby (owned by guest?) not on leash.Parking lot was full because of wedding reception or some other event.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good and staff excellent!!
Cons: No steps!!
5.0 Okay
Pros: clean and breakfast was included for all guests in the hotel.
Cons: small bathroom, very dated. It is located in a ski area and I can see why they would get resort prices in ski season but this is a very expensive area for hotels and restaurants in the summer as well. Expect to pay resort prices for everything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, ready and hot. Our 2 grandchildren and my wife enjoyed the hot tubs.
Cons: You did not have an actual swimming pool.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The room was for a MIDGET!! An exercise class was held early AM on the floor above us. The smoke alarm went on and stayed on when we would shower. I’m 6 foot tall 180 lbs and while on the toilet my knees would hit my shoulders and the place on my body for toilet paper was not in it’s usual place. You should be ashamed for putting use in that place when you had better to offer. Buck must have been a dwarf!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great and the rooms were comfy and clean.
Cons: The location is beautiful, but a little far from Yellowstone. It’s about 45 minutes from West Yellowstone, but about 2 hours from north Yellowstone. Also, the pet fee is $20, which wasn’t outlined on
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything it was Perfect!!
Cons: Nothing!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was included as a buffet and very good. Eggs, sausage, cut up fresh fruit and all the other standards. Breakfast room was large yet cozy...wooden rustic. The dining room and dinner menu were perfect (elk, bison, etc). They also have a very good wine list!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was along the main road to Bozeman and West Yellowstone Park My bed was great. The room was sound proof. Restaurant was nice. Beautiful area and drive to Yellowstone National Park.
Cons: Expensive for dogs! $20/ per pet per night.. Its an hour drive to West Yellowstone. One day it took me 3 hours to get into a sight at YNP.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room and nice staff and good breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Restaurant
Cons: Walking outside to the restaurant and the room needed updates
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good American breakfast(Not only Continental breakfast), good view, good hot bath pool, nice dinner restaurant and take 45-50 mins from West Yellowstone
Cons: The hotel look old.The cleaness was flair.

Pros: Everything else was good (bars, restaurant, ski and car valet, etc.).
Cons: Showed up @10am to ski. Checked in @ desk. "Room not ready but will prioritize" Not ready until 5pm. Being #3 on "priority" list, & was last finished on a list of over 15 rooms. Prob bcs of booking on this site. But you had the room I wanted and they didn't.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the whole package
Cons: the food and service at carabiners resteraunt in summit hotel was horrible
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast good....Rick Saunders is the best.
Cons: Oat meal was a little too runny each day.

Cons: Paid 5 star price for 3 star hotel - sheets were bloodstained and checking staff had poor attitude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to chairlifts
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and location were fabulous. Loved the servers there in both restaurants. The Cowboys in the front were amazing. They did a great job of anticipating my needs both during arrival and departure.
Cons: The room was too cluttered with furniture. With the Murphy bed down there was no room to maneuver. The closet has a dresser but with the ironing board and table insert, leaves no room to hang clothes. I recognize these rooms are difficult to engineer but for the money, I expected more. I stayed in another room during my last stay that was planned better.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay for skiing. Walk out the door and onto the slopes.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: excellent food and location
Cons: N/A

Rainbow Ranch Lodge - Big Sky - Building
8.7 Excellent (321 reviews)

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: The view from our second floor balcony opened to a beautiful landscaped lot with a river running through it. The Gallatin forest was behind it. Simply a beautiful setting!
Cons: The property was on the highway (191). Although it was somewhat quiet at night, we could hear vehicles driving by with our bedroom windows open. Sadly, we couldn't hear the river.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Loved the setting of the Gallatin river in the background. My son did some fly fishing.
Cons: The second bedroom was stuffy- could use a ceiling fan.
7.0 Good
Pros: Views and location.
Cons: No internet or phone service in Grey Wolf. No coffee in room and no TV remote control
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location with a trailhead directly behind the property.
Cons: Coffee pots in room instead of Keurig machines. The property boasted about conservation, but used a product that produced too much waste.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was delighted with our stay at Rainbow Ranch!!!!! Every aspect of this property was wonderful....For those travelers who want a most memorable vacation...
Cons: I found everything top notch....Much attention was made to detail!!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Music in the room
Cons: Room smelled like fireplace ashes Too close to highway
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We reserved a room with 2 queen beds because that's all they had left. So we were super surprised when we got there, and actually had 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Linens were way nicer than anticipated. Everything was clean and neat.
Cons: Restaurant was closed while we were there. Since this place is a few miles from town, it would have been nice to have served a full breakfast menu, not just cereal, etc.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location. Beautiful grounds.
Cons: I really wanted to love this place. The rooms are outdated - carpet in need of replacing and bathroom in need of an update. The WiFi wasn’t working and there is no service there so felt a bit uneasy since no staff is on site after 10 pm. Being the off season and a weekday, no happy hour or dinner available. There’s nowhere to even get a bottle of water on the property.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were giving us information and help, especially the receptionist Caitlyn
Cons: Just off a well traveled highway..noise level high at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was the best. Friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was so relaxing. Loved it !!!
Cons: Not enough towels.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: International breakfast, including warm meals [srambled eggs, etc] and fresh fruits
5.0 Okay
Cons: Needs some updates and replacement of damaged window treatments and furnishings
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: I emptied an ashtray wich we used during our roadtrip on the street, in the trash in our room. The afternoon we left( & 500 miles away) we got an email that said we smoked in the room and they charged 250$ , direct from our credit card! We were with 3 in one room and only 1 is a smoker. So we never smoke in a room, not even in Las Vegas where it’s allowed! We only emptied the mobile ashtray. It’s unbelievable they charged us. We called the hotel and the manager was not listening to our story. There was no communication possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good. Starbucks coffee- great!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful setting up the Mountain Village in Big Sky. Although we were at the end of the building far from the elevator, the room was spacious and had all the amenities. We could also see the chimney swifts/swallows build their nests under the eave outside our window.
Cons: The (powdered?) eggs at breakfast were awful but this is knitpicking.
7.0 Good
Pros: This is an old lodge. I was surprised by its age and how beat up it was. I liked the size of the suite and the layout. We enjoyed the fireplace.
Cons: The staff was sparse. Breakfast was cleaned up before the designated time. The elevator was extremely slow and small. All the services were old school and not updated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly and helpful. Views were amazing and location was wonderful.
Cons: One elevator for the hotel. Slow and congested. Furniture in room was dated, TV was small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms. Had hot tubs and a gas grill for cooking food. Excellent touch.
Cons: No.

7.4 Good
Pros: The location at the base of the mountain is great.
Cons: The rooms/hallway need updated. Try to stay on the 3rd floor, or else you'll hear the creaking floors above you.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Carpet stained, room only partially cleaned each day, over priced
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, Location, and Staff were great.
Cons: Overall the room was very overpriced relative to other resorts for what it offered: -The room itself was small for 4 people. -The beds were very bouncy and made or a disruptive night's sleep. -We had to use a cooler and ice to act as the fridge, b/c the fridge was very small. -Neighbor noise was very prominent as the walls and floors were old, thin, and poorly insulated. -The hot-tub was quite dirty. It had debris that could have easily been cleaned in 5 minutes, once a day. The jets were also very weak relative to other resort hot-tubs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, Amenities and staff!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Awesome service! Awesome breakfast buffet! Great pool and hot tub facilities! Big Sky skiing it the best!! Excellent lift access to our room.

Pros: The people
Cons: Prices
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location & Amenities
Cons: Breakfast Buffet could have been managed better! Smaller quantity of food could have been placed on the buffet to keep everything fresh!
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: Breakfast buffet was not good. Eggs and bacon weee ice cold. Rooms can be noisy with thin walls. HOTEL PROVIDES EAR PLUGS AS STANDARD IN YOUR ROOM. First hotel that I have ever seen do this
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lodge is only a few steps from the base area and the Ramcharger and Swift Current Lifts. Exceptional Staff that worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. Large heated pool with two hot tubs. Large Hot/Cold Buffet Breakfast each day with rotating menu. Large rooms with comfortable bedding. Free Parking nearby.
Cons: Walls between the rooms were a little thin, I could hear conversations in the next room. The Lodge is kid-friendly which is great if you have kids, but a disadvantage if you are looking for a quiet get away.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and complementary breakfast were excellent. Our room needed some updating, but was nice.
Cons: The bathroom plumbing needed some work.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location offering great views of the mountains. The lodge offers access to fantastic facilities such as a good swimming pool and gym. The main asset of the facility seems to be the friendly, enthusiastic approach of the staff. Staff were willing to engage in an approachable yet professional manner with guests. The rooms offer panoramic sweeping views. .
Cons: There are too many young kids running around for those without young children.
9.5 Excellent

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable, great food in the restaurant and beautiful, groomed trails.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Great location in the middle of the nordic trails, but you can stay somewhere closeby and drive in to take advantage of this facility. You are charged the same for the trails whether you stay at the lodge or not.
Cons: We had requested a renovated room as we had been advised - maybe these rooms are great, but we weren't lucky enough to get one. The room we had was gloomy, patched up, uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy cabin- very quiet
Cons: Away from other cabins
9.5 Excellent
Pros: On site restaurant was exceptional.
Cons: Opted to rent a car after learning of shuttle charges and limited mountain schedule.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The restaurant building was lovely.
Cons: The mattress was substandard- awful The cabins need better landscaping- too much dirt
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The first thing that stood out at Lone Mountain Ranch was the attention of the staff at all levels to providing an outstanding guest experience. Planned activities were not contingent on having a minimum number of guests sign up. When I was the only guest who chose a canoeing outing we went anyway. Mountain biking was scheduled only a couple of times during the week but when I asked about additional opportunities they made sure I had a guide available each day that I wanted to ride. We had to leave before breakfast on our last day and the restaurant staff worked out a way to provide breakfast for us. These are only a few examples of their commitment to guest satisfaction. The naturalists on their staff accompanied guests on outings to Yellowstone, wildflower hikes and other activities. They all demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the flora, fauna and geology of the area. The food in the restaurant was outstanding with few exceptions and the staff were empowered to make things right when there were problems. The menus offered something for almost everybody, though vegetarian options were not abundant. I suspect that the kitchen could find ways to offer acceptable vegetarian options but this is a ranch, not a spa, and the menu was obviously designed to please omnivores. I am not a horseman but my wife, who is, was impressed with both the horses and the wranglers. I described the ranch as "all inclusive" but that is not completely correct. Alcohol is an extra charge. All of the other food and beverages for the week were included in their standard rates. Some of the off-ranch excursions do have associated charges but they have a surprising array of options included in the standard rate.
Cons: This is a "guest ranch" (dude ranch) so it cannot be compared to a 5 star hotel but even so the cabin we were in was a bit of a disappointment partly because it was hard to get the room temperature well regulated and partly because some of the recent renovation left a few problems including a front door that did not latch properly. The cabin did not have a table or desk for writing or for computer use. The other disappointment was that the WiFi availability was poor due to weak signals (we never did find a place at the ranch with a strong WiFi signal) and rather erratic access to the Internet. Cell service depended on location. Sometimes it was good, other times there was no signal. That is not at all unexpected in a rural setting.
Whitewater Inn - Big Sky - Bar
7.7 Good (262 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This ski hotel is 0.7 mi (1.2 km) from Soldiers Chapel and 1.8 mi (3 km) from Warren Miller Performing Arts Center. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Cons: The hotel was not very well insulated, and so we heard EVERYONE letting their doors slam closed from about 7am, plus kids running up and down the halls and at least one infant crying.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The pool wasn't working
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our party was mixed, with both skiers, and loungers. The facility was excellent in accommodating us all. In the evening we explored the local options, and dining. The assistant manager, Sam, was extremely responsive, and helped us get an in-house upgrade, due to the pool being under maintenance. We can hardly wait to go back again.
Cons: The pool ws not yet open, but was being filled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly, beds were comfortable and the pool was nice and warm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: front desk attendants were super friendly and helpful
Cons: breakfast. But it was what I was expecting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful, very kind and relaxed. My 5 year old LOVED the water slide.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: No
9.3 Excellent
Pros: One person to take care of Check-out and the Breakfast Room may suit the ownership, however, the items available in the Breakfast Room suffered. This aspect was not a positive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beds were confortable, front desk staff very helpful. Brandy, Andres and another gentleman. They gave us useful information on restaurants, snow shoeing trails. Parking was easy.
Cons: The door to the pool closed quite loudly and I could feel the shock in the my room (5 or 6 rooms away); got very annoying when children were racing in and out. I checked the 'closer' and was set to close the door pretty hard. Breakfast was pretty spare--less than your usual motel. Scrambled eggs and /or waffles would be good. I had a room with two queens, and there was only one dreser drawer for each of us---not enough.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk agent was so sweet and gave us a late checkout after we skied that day. Everyone was so welcoming.
Cons: The breakfast was a little lacking
5.0 Okay
Cons: way too expensive and the room smelled.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was close to River for Fishing and the Ski resort for other activities. Price was good for someone on the go and only hangs around the hotel for recovery from fun time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean, bedding very comfortable, breakfast buffet great.
Cons: I took my family as a Christmas gift, and asked that everything be charged to my credit card. Upon check out they were all asked for credit card to pay. oops
6.0 Good
Cons: Terrible housekeeping in our apartment. Bathroom sinks were never cleaned. Housekeeper did not care to put away used coffee cups, the beds were just a little straightened . Altogether they could not have spent more than 10 minutes in our unit. I complained at the reception desk but it was never addressed.
Overview Reviews
When you stay at this condo resort in Big Sky, you'll be in the mountains, just steps from Big Sky Resort and 9 minutes by foot from Moonlight Basin Ski Area. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The condo was clean, large and well equipped. Excellent property and property management. Very well equipped in a very good location. Everything was great. Hot tub was awesome. The place is very spacious. Would rent this property again. Moonlight Basin is a great area.
Cons: Ski in/out. Ski out is not good for beginner skiers. The hill, right outside the front door is very steep. Its a hard blur or even a black. Ski-in is ok, but snow boarders would not be able to make it as there is a long flat spot through the street. Easier in skis, but not perfect.
