Couldn't ask for anything better. The hotel is gorgeous & the staff was phenomenal. Martin is the man, he'll take good care of you!
The hotel was just not up to my standards
The staff was not helpful. The room was dirty. The bathroom knobs were falling apart. There was hair in the corners of the bathroom. There wasn’t enough soap. The heater couldn’t be adjusted. No amenities in the room. It’s unfortunate bc this is the second time staying here, the first time the room was immaculate. Hence is why I choose this again.
Martin was so very helpful, from the moment we arrived until we left. He was very prompt in handling any issues we had, from replacing the remote to helping us change rooms when the heat wouldn’t turn off!
A little dated
the staff are absolutely wonderful, so nice. My cleaning crew didn’t roll through til 3 pm and by that time I was back in my room so I just asked for towels and she gave them with a smile. The location is PRIME and for (non pool) season the price can’t be beat.
Mccarren hotel used to be the only hotel in the area. It now how’s three competitors right up the street with newer facilities. Mccarren is still the only hotel with a pool. My guess is that is their money maker, because the rooms aren’t well kept. The bathroom fan, handheld shower and toilet button were broken. The light switches are these dated “swipes” that are so old it’s takes it a minute to register your finger (just get a switch guys) and the cabinet that house the fridge barely opens. Who ever designed the bathroom should have their license revoked immediately. A rain shower head (and broken handheld) with no lip to keep the water in.... oh and all the fixtures on a slant?!). The bathroom just overall needs a remodel, random frosted window into bedroom, mold in grout, etc.
