The room was great and the staff were exceptional
We got unexpectedly upgraded so that set the tone out of the gate (thanks, guys!) The front desk staff were lovely, making us feel comfortable from the start. It would be easy for the hotel to feel "too cool" but the staff was kind and very welcoming. Bonus points for the postcard mailing service. Very cute and our kids loved receiving a note from us. :)
Noisy rooms (constant tapping), Unfriendly front desk staff Ordered room service, waited 1.5 hours, had to cancel with no explaination or apology
Location in Brooklyn was great but very noisy. Lots of Bars and late night joints around the hotel.
Couldn't have a bath as they didn't have a bath plug, but had a beautiful free standing bath in my bathroom, which is very frustrating.
Clean room, good location, nice view of the city
The staff was not very helpful at breakfast (slow service)
The Wythe Hotel features the kind of design that guests will remember for years to come. This is not only due to the fact that it is so unique but also because it is impactful. The exposed brick walls and dark metal-framed windows harken back to a time when industrial fortitude was shaping the country. The sprawling ceilings towering over the heads of guests are a reminder of the lofty architecture that was so big in the early to mid-20th century. With the light that spills in from outside, guests may feel as if they are seated in a shielded grotto, a personal patio, as they look out over the city outside. This is all made possible with large windows of exaggerated size and scope that allow loads of natural light to stream in.
Nearby, guests have access to the Brooklyn Flea, a popular seasonal attraction, and if they wish to venture further into the city, the nearest subway station is less than half a mile away.
The stylish rooms also feature free Wi-Fi to make getting online and planning a day out easier. A particularly helpful feature are heated cement floors inside the rooms that come complete with surround sound systems that connect to the nice size flat screen TVs.
Add to this the artwork that is displayed on the walls, custom-made for the hotel, and the experience gets another level of flavor. The French-style restaurant and the rooftop bar round out what is sure to be a memorable experience for guests of the Wythe Hotel.
