The bed was comfortable and there was a nice shower in the bathroom. Great that there was a coffee machine in the room. The location was good in that it was within walking distance of the Brooklyn bridge and very close to Brooklyn Heights neighborhood.
The room was kind of small but it was comfortable. The hotel was quite a distance from the nearest subway station. Or at least it seemed it because the weather was cold and rainy when we were there. I kept thinking that the next time I travel to NYC I’ll need to find a place within a closer proximity to a subway station. Something within a 5 minute or less walk. The Tillary is a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest station.
I liked the open lobby, the room was pretty spacious for one person not so much 2 people. Smelled amazing
I didn't like the shower. It is an open shower with a glass door that covers only half of the shower area so water definitely spills out. Make sure to check your credit statement because they charged me extra fees , I called and got it released but that was something to look out for.
The location was great.
The staff were uncaring and disinterested. Mainly their head to food and beverage and the hotel manager.
Staff was excellent, rooms were clean
No street parking... Parking garage too expensive
The hotel is good value for money for NYC and Brooklyn. It is clean and above average in terms of furnishing in communal spaces.
It was noisy. There was maintenance banging very badly at 9am in the morning; cleaners hoovering outside the room before 10am. The room is tired, not enough drawers. The bar, though supposed to be open was closed and when i asked for advice about eating, they sent me to an awful road when there are so many lovely places nearby. I felt it was badly judged.
