Book Budget car rentals in Windsor

• Do Budget car rentals in Windsor allow drivers to travel with pets?

You are free to travel with a household pet in a Budget rental car. You don’t need to pay an extra fee for this, but make sure your housebroken pet does not damage the car's interior. You’ll pay for special cleaning (according to its policy) if your animal sheds excess hair or soils the vehicle. Since Budget presents clean and sanitized cars to all customers, it’s advised that you don’t return your vehicle in poor condition. However, Budget waives the cleaning fee if the customer is disabled and needs a service animal to travel.

• When should I return my Budget rental car in Windsor to avoid late charges?

Always return your rental at the designated time on your rental agreement. If you hire a vehicle for 24 hours, Budget gives you a grace period of 29 minutes only for drop-off. Being late by 30 minutes or more involves an hourly rate fee and tax. Returning the car 90 minutes late will incur a full-day late payment and tax. Call the rental office if you get stuck somewhere and it’s seven hours late; otherwise, you’ll be charged an additional C$ 10. The company has no grace period for late return surcharges. Also, there may be a change in your initial rental rate.

• Can Budget car rental reduce my charges or penalize me if I return the car early?

If you want to drop off a rented car earlier than expected, call the number on the paperwork. You’ll neither receive a refund for unused hours/days nor a penalty for doing so. Note that the rental cost is calculated according to the terms of the initial booking. Typically, the daily rates for extended rental periods are comparatively lower. So returning your car a day earlier than the expected return date may increase the daily rate — it’s likely that you will not have much savings left. If Budget initially gave you an exclusive offer to keep the car longer, you’ll probably lose the discount by returning the car sooner.
