Cons:Rental car prices in Hawaii are outrageous right now.

Cons:First car I was assigned had a keyed door scratch all down the side and was not cleaned. They did quickly change to a fresh car and no issues with the rental..
Cons:"standard" car was a buick verano which is much smaller than the toyota camry that was standard on oahu. we locked our keys in the car and called budget customer service and asked for help but they didn't send any info for over an hour, so we called and cancelled and called AAA instead. today over a month later i got a notification that they charged me $55 for the roadside service that I NEVER USED. I will be calling to complain and get my money back. it's ridiculous that they don't keep good enough records to show that i didn't use the service and nobody ever actually showed up. AAA charged me nothing (I already had a membership which costs $49 a YEAR) and was much more responsive than Budget.
Cons:Car was all scratched up and not in good shape for a 2013. Not sure I got the correct size car that I booked. Extremely expensive.
Only problem was that the pick up process was between 90 and 120 minutes. The wait line was about 30 minutes. The person behind the counter was stressed out (new employee) and it took about 90 minutes to get my vehicle. Drop off was easy (5 minutes). And they billed me exactly what they quoted me.
Pros:The car was fine and the agents were courteous...once you finally got to talk to them.
Cons:When we found out our flight times changed my husband tried repeatedly to call the office in Hawaii to change our reservation and could NEVER get through. When we arrived in Kona the line was practically out the door and we waited over an hour to get our car. The agents were nice, but they chatted with customers despite the pile-up behind them, which was incredibly frustrating.
Cons:Car was banged up, bald tires.
