I ordered a compact car but when I arrived they gave me a huge car that I wasn’t comfortable driving. I told them I wanted a compact car because that was what I ordered but when I said that she said they didn’t have anything else so I had no other choice because I had to leave at 8 in order to make it to my destination. They put me in a very uncomfortable situation and that was not what I paid for annnd on top of that I had to pay double the gas price because it was such a big car and gas is incredibly expensive right now. All around a bad experience because I had no other choice after trekking all the way to the airport and couldn’t just turn around or get a different car.
Pros:The process didn’t take long and it wasn’t a hassle

Cons:Staff could have been more conscientious of our urgency. They were in no hurry
Pros:The car was clean and energy efficient.
Cons:The pickup process was lengthy, and the Budget agent made a big deal about our wanting to use a debit card to pay for the transaction. She brought up the notion that they would perform a credit check and If our credit wasn't up to their standards, they would reject our request for a car rental. This was a very negative, uncomfortable conversation as it seemed like the agent had already assumed our credit was unworthy. My boyfriend finally just handed over a credit card to end the unpleasant interaction. I have not encountered this attitude at other rental companies such as Enterprise.
Cons:Hard to find reasonable gas near drop off.
