Line too long - gave up !
Cons: We waited in line for about 30min and still had 30-45min to go! We gave up and ended up taking Ubers.

Budget will try to nickel and dime you for everything
Cons: I had to cut my trip short by a day and return to work. Here I am I thinking I'm doing the right thing by turning in the vehicle in advance....Budget tried to charge me an extra 500 dollars! Absolutely ridiculous.

Cons: Service, they make me lost 1.5 hours to give me the car, because when they first gave me the car it was extremely dirty. After.. they charge me with something a haven't see it yet.

Pros: Easy pick-up/drop-off. Convenient access to Budget office via Newark Skytrain. Surprised by lack of assistance in locating car and checking out of the lot. Decent car make/model in great working condition.
Cons: Car was dirty at pick-up. Stained seats, dirt on the floor. Poor value for the money spent.

Pros: Good car,clean,reliable
Cons: Actually, not a good value $$$, too expensive. Also, not enough employees at the front counter (just 1 person for a line of 6). The lady working there, was taking people not in the line until, we (people in the line complained about it) and nobody working on the parking lot, helping clients with the cars. My rental was parked in wrong spot, so I took the wrong car and had to return.Then, I had to unload all my luggage from the first car and load it in to the second car.. Bad customer service.

Pros: quick and easy to pick up the car
Cons: when we dropped off the car there was no one at the airport. We didnt know what to do with the car keys etc. It would have been nice to see a person to check us out and close the account

Cons: Drop off location I requested was not the drop off I got. Was very inconvenient to drop off in Kenvil instead of Hacketstown. Why did the rental company pick up on this?

Pros: Car was newer than most, comfortable and ready when I got there.
Cons: Customer service woman was grumpy though efficient. There was no way to make notes of previous damage done to the car. The placemats had been taken out and Bluetooth was not available on the radio.

Did not honor pricing
Pros: Friendly staff, quick check in
Cons: Did not have car class. Which, in and of itself is ok, however, they charged me extra for the car they had. NEVER had that happen before.

Cons: Wrong car was in my assigned pick-up space. I loaded luggage, plugged in phone, set-up GPS for destination routing, and drove to exit gate, only to be told I had the wrong car. No one offered to help me find the right one, so I had to go back, re-park, take my luggage out, unplug and store my phone, and walk back inside to the rental counter. The rental agent walked back outside to look with me, and we discovered that the gate attendant had moved the vehicle. Once I started driving, I noticed the windshield washers were not functioning.

Worst customer service ever
Cons: The reservation counter made you feel like you were a criminal, tell you about credit card theft and how much there cars are worth. Will never rent from the NY Budget again

No phone contact for a problem with the car
Cons: Nightmare trying to get through to someone on the phone when I noticed the ezpass was not working ,which was the ONLY thing I asked for with the car . It is ok to have apronlrm but what seperates companies is the support, Budget failed miserably .

Cons: I requested a Compact car and ended up having to pay extra for an SUV because they did not have a compact vehicle readily available.

Easy experience. Friendly customer service
Pros: Car was clean interior. Couple marks on the outside. Painless rental process overall.
Cons: The vehicle was from Canada and really not a problem a'but should've been warned that all the controls were metric.

Don't believe you'll get what you order!!!!!
Cons: Thank god I called before I went. They were supposed to have a cargo van and I would have had a regular passenger van. Forget about calling doubt it they just give you the runaround and just transfer you and finally disconnect you.

Cons: it was dark, so it was difficult to check the car for issues. There were none.

Use a debit card and you will be judged
Pros: The car was clean and energy efficient.
Cons: The pickup process was lengthy, and the Budget agent made a big deal about our wanting to use a debit card to pay for the transaction. She brought up the notion that they would perform a credit check and If our credit wasn't up to their standards, they would reject our request for a car rental. This was a very negative, uncomfortable conversation as it seemed like the agent had already assumed our credit was unworthy. My boyfriend finally just handed over a credit card to end the unpleasant interaction. I have not encountered this attitude at other rental companies such as Enterprise.

Good car, sounded like a good deal but when I drop
Pros: Car was good Car was clean Wait time at Newark was only 5-10 mins
Cons: 3 hours late to drop off the car due to a mishap and I was charged 1 full day of $137 extra! That was a rip off! I feel cheated.

Pros: The service was fine; the workers were very nice.
Cons: I got charged for random late fees that even the people there didn't understand, and I don't have time to fight it. So it just leaves me feeling like I was cheated.
