Cons:Car smelled bad of marijuana when picked up and wasn’t cleaned at all. Terrible customer service as well

Pros:Desk lady was super patient with me and very friendly.
Cons:Car selection, pre-rental inspection, communication. I called 7 times every hour to half hour and never go ahold of anyone at the local office. Was charged for a second day rental, we didn’t even have the car 36 hours. Local office was closed at 4, so I couldn't call and communicate the massive wreck that delayed us before returning on time. When I finally made it to the car return, the dude who took my keys never said anything to indicate I’d get charged another $125. I rent 8-10 cars annually for my business, and figured I’d give budget a chance to see why it’s cheaper. You get what you pay for. Never had an issue with enterprise or hertz.

The car we rented was not clean and smelled bad. There were pretzels and French fried in a storage shelf of the console.

Cons:Maybe more vehicles but I received free upgrades so this worked out better for me.

This was the SDF airport Budget rental counter. They told me I was unable to rent without a credit card on hand. Fair, I didn't know that was necessary. They then directed me 10 miles away to a Budget location they said could take my debit card. When I arrived, the second location was filthy, stinky and creepy. The clerk there told me they couldn't take debit card either, and the airport clerk probably told me that just to get rid of me. Because there were no accommodations or ways for someone without a credit card on hand to even consider renting a car, we had to call me elderly mother to drive 5 hours to pick us up so we could drive another five hours back to Pittsburgh. Miserable experience, I will never even try to rent from Budget again, and I will likely never rent a car again at all.

Cons:South band drop off was the worst I have ever experienced. All other rentals had a sign leading to the return lot. There was no sign for budget. I had to ride around the airport and went to the Budget Truck Rental, which was the only place with a sign. I was being redirected to the car return lot. There was no pen or pencil to fill out the return. I went inside the terminal, and there was no pen or pencil at the desk to drop off the return card. I had to wait in line to return the car. The biggest Improvement for the drop-off this to have a sign for Budget rental return leading to the lot similar to the other car returns.

Cons:The only negative is the vehicle I received had a knocking sound coming from somewhere and I kept getting a message that it needed to be serviced.
