Omtinual bait and switch, no transparency
Pros: Distance of car rental desk from terminal.
Cons: Selection in website was not available and was effectively downgraded one category or forced to pay A surcharge against what was quoted in kayak.

Great deal but the car was quite old
Pros: Excellent price and the car ran fine.
Cons: The car was an older model and had almost 40,000 miles on it.

Pros: I don't usually write these reviews, but my experience was unbelievably terrible with Budget. I recently moved from Kentucky to California, and we had plans to fly to meet my husband's family for Christmas. I had to change plans last minute for a funeral of a close family friend...so I was about to change my flight to Louisville, and I rented a car to drive to Michigan after the funeral to meet my husband for Christmas. They advised my husband on the phone, and myself at the office, that we could drop off the rental after hours (they close on Saturday at 12:00 noon) at the location we had chosen in Michigan no problem - they told us both that we had 24 hours from our pick up to drop it off the next day (which was 4:00 pm). The next day is today- it is Christmas Eve, also a Saturday. They told us that the drop off location would be closing as 12:00, however, this location states there are no after hours drop off. We called customers service and they advised us that we could take the car to a different location and drop off after hours for a $50 fee...or we could drive an hour out of our Way to drop it off at the airport (so 2 hours round trip, plus wait time to return it). I already had less time with family because of the funeral, which is why I rented the car to get up to Michigan...so I made plans accordingly to return it at the location near my destination. So we asked for a manager, and they told us our options: 1, pay $50 fee to return car, as drive over 1 hour round trip (even though they told us we could drop it after hours at our destibation), 2. Drive over 2 hours round trip to airport to avoid fee...however, at this point we had 45 min to make it there by 4:15 (our scheduled drop off time), and miss dinner with our family that came to meet us, or 3. Keep the car until Monday (office is closed Sunday for Christmas), so they would charge us for 2 more days -$300 and then management can call us back next week, but there is no guarantee they will reimburse us for the extra time that we kept the car to return and did not use anymore. They showed no compassion for my loss, or for our trouble. We will be spending Christmas with family tomorrow,ans returning the car Monday morning and hoping for the best. They will be getting a piece of my mind Monday. Wish us luck. And we will never use Budget again. I will gladly pay double if I need to, to avoid using this company again. Merry Christmas, Budget.
