Service like never seen before, they help you with pleasure and show it. Beautiful hotel, great facilities, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and luxurious rooms.
Food is good Staff are below average on their service and friendness .
ever thing it is nice and luxury
quiet , clean , good breakfast , very cold , small lobby . expensive
The hotel is a very good deal; pay a few extra bucks and get the breakfast buffett included in the room and you can't go wrong. The restaurant selection and food awesome. The Nile view from the 11th floor was very nice. The location was about 5 minutes walk to the Museum and maybe 15 minutes walk to the Cairo Tower. There are tours out of the hotel lobby too. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cairo! The prices are a little misleading; instead of $200 a night, it was $250 a night with taxes and service charges added in. And it didn't stop there; it was like this at the bars and restaurants as well. I probably wouldn't have minded paying a few extra dollars knowing how much something costs going in, but it seems a little decieptful. Know this going in, and you will at least be prepared - still highly recommend.
Toobusy a place very convenient location Catering staff need to be more attentive ti clients request( sometimes absent minded !!)
Location, Location, Location. Good Food. Fabulous View from Nile View windows. Friendly, helpful staff.
i has in some rooms very nice rever view
The way and the frequent they clean the room is very good , easy to check in and out , fantastic Nile view basically is the best, Staff need to learn how to smile and be happy ,they need to care of the main gate and to organize the drop off area, the waiters in the cafes they just need training.
The location, the Nile View, the breakfast, the bed and pillows. many things available in the lobby mall, travel agent, bank , ATM machines, bank .. etc ... The Casino, the bar, the disco, should not be there at all.
Room was clean and air-conditioned. Very disappointing stay, disorganised service, no breakfast box despite asking twice to 2 different memebers of staff, Room did not have an external window, credit card machine not working in the morning- husband had to rush out to get money before we left for the airport and taxi service did not know which terminal to go to. Would not stay here again.
A pleasant surprise. I've stayed in a number of lower-end hotels in downtown Cairo; this was easily the best. As a business traveler, wifi is essential for me, and the signal was strong. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I'll stay there again.
Excellent location and also staff were cordial Rooms too small, breakfast not quite adequate
We found that the staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful when requesting travel information and they made our time in Cairo very pleasant and comfortable and I would recommend this hotel for this reason. Situated directly accross from the Egyptian Museum it is quite a lively area with western style fast food comforts close by. There is easy access to the metro which is 5mins away after you have carefully navigated your way accross the busy streets. The Nile and Cairo Tower are a pleasant walk away and are nice to do in the evening. Not far from the hotel is the renowned restaurant Felfela which is a great place to try more traditional Egyptian food. No frills hotel, but clean and welcoming environment.
It is safe, clean and cosy. I would like to come back for my next trip.
The City View is unique and has a dated charm that makes you feel that you are indeed in Cairo. It is convenient for shopping and close to a 101 places to eat but the best the hotel has to offer is it's staff who are so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back again. It is noisy but then you can't be in the centre of a city and expect no noise - especially for those prices
The hotel is centrally located and value for money
The room was neat, modern, comfortable, safe. I came from the us via Tunis, to visit an Egyptian friend in Cairo. At the time of booking the hotel online, I observed no notice of the fact that Egyptian nationals are not allowed in the rooms of foreigners. I found this highly inconvenient and upsetting, and this threw a last minute inconvenience in my trip.
The staff were superb, friendly, and honest. They provided the best service we recieved from every business we interacted with while in Egypt. The rooms need some updating but unlike the 5 star we stayed at for one night, the shower at City View worked.
The City View Hotel is a very comfortable place to stay in Cairo. It is conveniently located opposite the Egyptian museum and a short walk to restaurants and shopping. The Manager Tiger Lofty and his staff are friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms are comfortable with modern and very clean bathrooms. They are also quite spacious and some have a small balcony. We stayed on two different occasions, once with a balcony and once without. The room without the balcony was a slightly bigger room. The buffet breakfast is very nutritious and includes hot dishes, salads, cheeses, olives, eggs and a variety of different breads and spreads as well as cereal and yoghurt. Each day there is something different on the menu. We had a wonderful stay!
Friendly staff The rooms are not well maintained, especially the bathroom needs to be fixed
The hotel staff was very nice. The lobby and restaurant are both decent. This place is an absolute pigsty. The carpet was filthy and there were all sorts of hair and stains in the bedding. I was afraid to use the bathroom for fear that I would catch something. The towels were sealed in plastic which gave me confidence that they were clean so I slept on the towels with my clothes on and checked out the very next morning. Booking.com have a decency standard!
the hotel staff were very unfriendly apart from the poor poter who at least manage to give me a smile, also giving the guest wrong information about the arrangments of tours of the city
Inexpensive but comfortable, centrally located, and very clean. Helpful staff. Internet was advertised but unreliable at best. Can't get wireless in the rooms.
Near to the down town, the staff is friendly
Location is perfect The wifi sucks so bad!
Staff spoke English very well, location was safe, internet was ok Towel and toilet paper was not in the room upon check-in. Once I asked it was provided. The window in the bathroom was removed and replaced with a flexible piece of fiberglass wedged into place with strips of rubber molding. For some reason (I think maybe pressure changes in the room and outdoors) the rubber molding came loose and I noticed the fiberglass nearly ready to fall out of the window to the street seven floors below. For safety the staff and I removed the piece (approx 1 meter x 1 meter) to make sure it wouldn't fall to the street below. The room remained this way for the remainder of my stay.
Decent place , good location , the two young receptionists were both excellent... ...but then this happened. We booked a double room with two beds for 5 nitghts. The first 3 we spend in Cairo , then we went to Alexandria for two days only to discover when we got back that there was a single room waiting for us with only one bed.The owner mubbled something about this being the only thing available but i had made the reservations 2 months before . So there you go..anything good i could say about the hotel just doesnt really matter anymore
Staff very nice and efficient. The manager very helpful for information about tours. Good situation for visitng the center of Cairo and shopping. Some rooms on the square are noisy.
trips around the eygiptian antiqueties trafic noise
great hotel for the price. Would definitely recommend the hotel. The owner is a businessman and thus pushes you to purchase his tours and stuff from his shop, but that is the only semi negative.
The owner ripped us off constantly by charging us for tours, and then we realising that was only his commission also selling us stuff we found out had a 500pc mark up. The owner preys on guests constantly for money. I tour was organised in which we asked for one thing, got another, plus there were hidden costs. We were scared to ask for our money back. He took the payment as a commission which he told us was for everything, when out in the middle of nowhere, there was little we can do. We were also targettedfor money to buy stuff at exorbitant over the top prices.
Very convenient location in downtown Cairo, close to the Nile and a short taxi ride from al Khalili. Lots of good shops, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distrance. The hotel occupies one floor in a delightful old building overlooking the Talaat Harb midan and it has a lovely balcony and breakfast room overlooking the heart of downtown Cairo.
Great hotel, great location, wonderful people
Visiting the Cairo museum. Visiting churches. No private telephone.
The owner Bahaa! He's hospitable warm and friendly and knows exactly what to do with the most outrageous of vrequests! Maybe the tour to to Giza. It was very nice overall but could scale up to being a wonderful experience if there was an egyptoligist of reasonably good understanding like the ones in Sakkara.
The room size was sufficient for the price. The manager/owner is available onsite the majority of the time and was extremely helpful whether planning trips or just answering questions. The location is close enough to walk to many of the attractions or a short taxi ride away. A better breakfast selection.
The hotel was good for the price and the staff was very helpful. We felt really safe and at home .
great staff and located in down town Cairo with a view over the city. The place has character and soul and I would definately stay there again the arranged Nile dinner cruise had average food with average entertainment and I would have definately leave that off the agenda
Friendly and great, central location. Really want people to stay and enjoy the Hotel. We arrived by train and the Hotel then free of charge allowed us to take a taxi at their expense to the Cairo Airport. This Hotel deserves to be recognised for its 'caring about your stay' and showing the 'best side of Egypt'. Could you get them to place on the booking page how to get to the Hotel via the Metro from Giza Station and Cairo Station. When we asked at the Information Centre at Cairo Station they did not even have the Hotel listed. With this information, I believe more budget travellers/independant travellers may stay at the Hotel as easy to find alone. Please change the phone number to one that rings.
Isis hotel is very well located: underground stations, the railway station are near, the egyptian museum is just 5 minutes walk. The rooms are large and offer a breathtaking view on Cairo from the 15th floor of a building near the Nile river. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They can bring breakfast in your room, organize tours and airport transfers. Perfect Cairo accomodation.
Nice hotel , polite staff , location in centre of cairo, clean rooms , free internet, free wirless internet , breakfast included , welcome drink every day , free pick up from airport if you book more than 2 nights, we highly advise this hotel for you, thanks for ahmed allam and all the staff.
View, staff helpful, Dirty, difficult to find hotel cause the pannel showing the htl was hide , very dirty at the entrance of the hotel
helpfulness of the staff-very friendly/helpful. free internet towels were a little thin
Great location, great breakfast (omelet, fresh rolls with jam & butter, tea or coffee), friendly staff, free internet use, comfortable beds, good price. Bathrooms leave much to be desired. Moldy grout - definitely need to wear shower shoes. Would not stay if your only option was the shared bathroom (gross). Stayed in three rooms - first, bathroom was not great, second had shared bathroom, third had nice bathroom - looked newer/cleaner than the other two. Note that rooms at front face a very busy (noisy) street - didn't bother us though. To avoid that, could request a room at the back.
It was very clean and the sraff were very friendly. I liked the location.
Great view, decent rooms, excellent staff and a very interesting area. Remember to ask them not to remove the carpets the last day, it was a bit cold to walk on the floor when they were away:)
We come to hotel 01.30 a.m, check-in 24 hour - it's very important. Very very polite and friendly staff. Everybody talk english. Good briekfast. perfect atmosphie like at home.Tea and coffee free 24hour. Iron and WiFi 24hour. They have cheap transfer from/to airpot (in Sharm Elsheikh didn't even 5*hotel) And one more time sooo nice staff on reseption which ready to help you. nice price and serice. Our window room was close to street, there is big noisy traffic. But we bought '' special soft stick for ear from farmacy''
It was cheap and the location was good, right opposite the museum. Lack of cleanliness, poor security, and staff chain smoking.
The staf was very helpful. The location is very good. This is a realy dirty hotel. The furnitures, rooms, bathroom are all very old and filthy. Staying there was not nice at all. The building is horrible too.
staff was ok and very helpful. location also not bad if interests in visiting egyptian museum very noise street. poor bathroom. tv didn't work.
There is nothing I liked about my stay at the Egyptian Nights Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Reviews, descriptions and services are uneven, inaccurate or fabricated.
The hotel is located in the center of the city. Very near to the Metro station. All services are available in less than 3 minites of walk. It is good for how want to finish busniess, not for having fun The hot wter is not available all the Day. No tawels are placed in the bathrooms.
staff excellent facilities getting very faded
Staff were very good. There was no airport shuttle service as stated in the description. Also the credit card machine was broken so we had to pay cash.
Inexpensive, close to downtown, quaint hard to find at first; hot water not always available; no shower curtain
It was relatively cheap Lots - overbooked when we were there (but not entirely their fault) we were oput in a very dirty room that looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks, crumbling plaster, filthy carpet etc. We did get another rooom when we complained, which was better, but still well below what we expected even for a budget hotel.
friendly staff the bathroom was totaly unclean, the blankets and the below on the bed were not encouraging to be used.
For location (hotel is located on the busiest street of Cairo) the room was quiet. It is really basic. Disgusting bathroom. Stayed for 3 nights, but they never clean the room, even emptied the trash can. Breakfast = 2 buns + jam + cream cheese.
Not much. I suppose only the breakfast was okay. The facilities were poor especially the bathroom. Had to ask for soap. No shampoo. Bath towels provided were extremely small. No slippers. Phone not working. No TV or radio.
Very good location in the city center. Our room was without window :-( only one small on the toilet.
internet aviable cleanliness
friendly atmosphere service. I had no towel for the first 27 hours ! It took half an hour to get breakfast.
free internet on the hotel and reliability terrible zone, noisly and nobody knowing invitation hotel
I had left my passport behind in Alexandria, and the hotel staff went out of their way to recover it for me!
it was very cheap , the staff very friendly and for a backpacker is an very good hotel. It is a little bit noisy , from the traffic outside and the entrance to the hotel dont remind of a european hotel but I enjoy it stay there. the entrance
The hotel personnel benevolent and tactful. Rooms pure enough. The hotel is conveniently located, it is easy to find. It is very noisy, room windows took to the highroad.
The location. It is convenience to get food and quite near to shopping centre. Booked for a triple room but was actually given a double room with extra bed.,thus making the room too small . Have to jump over the bed to get to the toilet.and they think we dont know.No transport pick up from airport as promised. No buffet breakfast as stated in web site, just a continental breakfast. Staff insist on payment for a minor information. After 3 days we moved to Arabesque 2 floor above Invitation hotel but same management . Its better and slightly cheaper.
the staff was very friendly and smiling and tried to solve all the problems that appeared changing towels ,so everyone who would stay there ,have to carry towels and shampoos with them
The staff was very helpfull with everything. They organize trips, you can eat there, watch television, sit in the lounge. The rooms are spacious. There were no towels in the room, but when you ask for it they immediately bring it to your room. Pleasant stay. It was a budget hotel, so dont expect too much.
I stayed in Arabesque hotel . this hotel is very nice , very comfortable , Organization of a great and cheap tours to any place in Egypt in private cars , the staff is very friendly especially ( Ahmed Maher ) he Provides me with an excellent breakfast .......... i hope to back to Arabesque hotel . No thing..........all things is perfect
The WiFi connection was free, and in the lobby worked well, whilst in the room fairly good. Good position close to the Egyptian Museum. Staff very friendly. The hotel is very basic, close to a tremendous crossing among highways and bus station. The noise was high all night long. But this is a common problem in Cairo. Nevertheless, the hotel was better than the average, for similar hotels in Cairo
Staff was very friendly. Be careful while booking tours with hotel. You have to do a lot of bargain.
The receptionist Md Sherifa is the sweetest & the red walls within a room were pretty cool also! :-)
the location poor condition
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the water hot and all was reasonably clean. It's also ideally located downtown across the street from the Cairo Museum. I found it a very good value for the price. The hotel has a small kitchen. I ordered the grilled chicken one night, not expecting much. To my very pleasant surprise, it was delicious! If you need quiet to sleep, then this shouldn't be your choice. Arabesque's location means that the traffic noise continues all night.
it is close to shopes, Museum, nile, and good view to cairo tower. very friendly staff specialy Radawy,Shareefa, Muhammad, Sayed Islam and all others.they were very nice people. the sink in the bathroom was block, no fridge in the room no TV, air condition in the room was not working at all, the blankets were not clean and the worse thing was bed bag (was biting every night)
The location is excellent. The staff helpful. Rooms could be a bit cleaner and better kept. But overall, this hotel is very good value for money.
