The Budget agents at the David airport in Panama got us into the vehicle quickly and we were on our way faster than I thought it would take to get the paperwork done.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I just wish the process was faster and more info could be provided up front so we didn't have to wait so long to get everything processed (took 1 hour from start to finish). Drop off was very easy and fast.

Cons:

They don't accept American car insurance companys. That what i was told at the counter. By a ver rude woman. Wich wanted to charge me more 4 times the reservation price. Be careful with the tricks they use.

The vehicle that I had reserved and paid for which was more expensive was not available when I arrived. Then I was given a much smaller vehicle and told to exchange the vehicle for the right one at a different location. I went to the other location and they also didn’t have any wasting my entire day waiting and waiting. This was the must awful, unprofessional and unorganized experience I ever had with any rental company ever. They had no empathy, nor compensated me for literally my entire day wasted while I was on vacation. Panama Thrifty by NO Means operates in the same standards as other countries.

I had an offer for $150 for the car and then when I got there they said it was not available anymore and I ended up paying over $300 for a worse car. Never renting from them again.

If the branch moves, this should also be communicated on the Internet! When we arrived in Panama City we had to go to two old addresses before we found the current address at 7 p.m.
