Terrible! The car broke down and agency wants to charge me for it!
Cons: Very poor customer service. Had car 1 day and it left me stranded. Clutch damage seems to be issue and agency wants to charge me for it. They also want to charge me for full rental and gas (which I was unable to fill because car broke down). Terrible customer service upon return. This was a terrible experience overall!

Not what they promote
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They didn’t have the car I needed or what they advertise to me thru website. The rep was rude and unhelpful. Last time I book budget.

Optional services were forced on us
Pros: Car itself was ok
Cons: They misrepresented pricing. We declined nsurance coverage since we have coverage under Visa credit card. Then Budget imposes what they listed as “Optional Services” which we declined but they insisted that despite the fact that we would not in reality be covered for those services, we still had to pay the $48+ fee.

Cons: The road and signs are all in Spanish and the counter personal are not fluent in English. We unfortunateyl got lost and the rental agency tried their best to escort us to our hotel. Driving in Panama however was very dangerous and would not rent a car there ever again.

Beware of hidden policies/charges like obligatory
Pros: The price was amazing at first, $4 per day and $9 for insurance.
Cons: The $9 insurance purchased through kayak was not recognized in Panama by budget and I was forced to buy insurance through Budget as well. The cheapest insurance was $18. It was still a good deal but I felt a little deceived by the price because the obligatory additional insurance was not mentioned as far as I know and the insurance I did by wasn't recognized by budget, so basically a waste of money turning a good deal into an average deal :(

Pros: Compact car with adecuate sizefor the traffic volume in panama
Cons: Pick up time was longer than usual Insurance we had bought from kayak website was not accepted and we had to buy one there at 3 times more the price. Making the rental very expensive for the type of rented car. Ee even presented the print out of the reservation and still their answer was taht it was not accepted. Young and unexpected staff. Poorly trained Drop off is very incovenient as it is not at the desk and the whole process can take a long time. Not a good experience this time

Horrible experience
Cons: I rented a Hyundai Tucson to spend holidays with my family in Panama, I arranged the pickup of the car in Tocumen International Airport, at noon. I arrived around 2 and the person in the counter said they gave away my car because of the delay. When I made the reservation there was no place specifying this term, there's usually at 4 hour gap to pick up your car.

Cons: Up sale n the lady wasn't very good at explaining the packages and I did got in to an accident someone threw a rock at my passanger door of the corredor north late night and the agent came out with the sheet of prices for the dent ...woo

Cons: We reserved the car, dropped off at airport to pick up and then told we could not rent car because we did not fly into the Tocumen airport. Had to pay for aboyer taxi and find an offsite location to rent a car. Ended up being very expensive last min!!!!
