The room was comfortable, the staff was attentive, and the hotel was clean. I attended a high school reunion. The food was bad and the drinks were made with cheap liquor. The cost of the hotel was surprisingly high considering the location. A discount would have been nice since we were attending a function at the hotel.
The hotel was nice and clean the room was spacious, the pool area was wonderful. Some of the concierge weren't so welcoming. They definitely need to be more friendly and more helpful
Good location with large but uninteresting accommodations. Dissatisfied with housekeeping. Didn't get to our room until after 5;00 pm. Slipshod job - took but did not replace coffee cups. Did not replace coffee pods despite requests. For this price point expected better.

Room quality. Nicer than most apartments. Front desk staff was very helpful, and the fact that they throw in breakfast and dinner really helps out a lot. This is WAY better than anything in the area that I researched. Room had a nice TV, with accessible USB ports (not those hotels that block them so you can't plug anything else in). Nice kitchen area had utensils, microwave, huge refrigerator, and a sink. Bed was king size and plenty of pillows. Bathroom was clean, linens were clean, and the wifi worked well enough to stream firestick, etc. Also like that I only had to enter the password ONCE, and not every DAY, like a lot of other hotels. The chef at dinner time was very nice, and wanted to know how I enjoyed the food every night - soliciting feedback, etc. Both meals provided, while not 5 star food were very good and plentiful. Compared to what you get when you pay FAR more in Vegas or NYC, this place was a good value. Parking was also not an issue. I found some of the staff during the meals and roaming the hallways to be a bit terse. I know New Yorkers are different but I expected a lighter demeanor for someone in the hospitality industry. There were several instances where I had to track someone down in the dining area to bus the table from the people who had eaten there before me, or to simply ask for a diet soda to drink. There is plenty of coffee and tea, but no other drinks unless you ask for them. Reminding a customer that they COULD be charged for a soda seems a little ridiculous when the food, fruit, and cookies, are unlimited. My room bordered a courtyard, per my request - however I didn't know it would be outside the two meeting rooms. There were times where it got a bit noisy, but didn't really impact me too much. I'm not going to complain about the layout, but if you go there expecting total silence you should ask for a room away from such a place. There was an ant in the bed the first night, and a beetle in the bathroom the second night.... in April. I know I didn't bring them, but what can you do? It wasn't an infestation. I would still stay at this place before going anywhere else in the area.

Lobby was great.. Plenty of hot water and free wi-fi. Ceiling was peeling, beds lumpy, sheets and comforters yellowed. The tub/shower was clogged, TV didn't work, carpet was stained and rolling up. Hallways and rooms were dirty. Stayed one night, wouldn't go back.

The lobby looked great and clean. The bar seems to be a great place to hang out if you want to get out your room and socialize with friends. I also liked how quickly the heat was fixed in the room after I called the front desk. The bed was comfortable. I reserved a King room and during check in I was told that I was reserved for two queen beds. But what I didn't like was when the employee at the front desk stated that he "can change it to a King if it's a big deal for me." That caught me off guard. When we got to the room it seemed aged and warned. There was stains all over the carpet, the walls were peeling a bit, apparently a previous guest dismembered the guest book in the room but it wasn't changed before we checked in, the shelf and the hangers in the closet had to be cleaned by myself before using, the toilet was warn out, we found long white hair strands in the shower on the bed and the heater wasn't working but that was quickly fixed.
Charged $75 to check in before 3. Wasn't even told at the time. I would've waited had I known. The guy checking us in May have said two words to us, felt as if I was bothering himLobby is beautiful but false advertising for the rooms and staff. Like having a great basket of bread before your very disappointing meal and service.
The hotel was very easy to find and within 20 minutes of great restaurants. The bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived. There was hair on the toilet and on the floor. It was obvious the floor had not been cleaned in some time. The toiletries and towels had not been replenished since the previous guests. A major issue we had was that our entry door jamb was bowed. The door would only shut if you slammed it closed. The maid never did this, and left our room open all day long.
it was quiet. dead bugs in the bathroom. the hallways were filthy. it was very hot and the air conditioning did not work. room service was "Too busy" to deliver It appeared to be family run and they were way over their heads. Maybe Clarion should do surprise inspections.
Just not clean over all. No refrigerator for my 14 days stay. Later when I asked they said some rooms do have but some don't.
There was mold on the ceiling of the shower which was absolutely unacceptable. Who knows how long the mold was there. The room/bathroom was quite dated and appeared dirty.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Clean sheets and comfy beds. The bottom strip of lining was peeling off the wall next to my bed. Towels were a little starchy and our room didn't provide soap.
Bed bugs. My daughter had over 40 bites on her arms and legs. We went to front desk, asked to change rooms (did not want to stay but it was 3:00 am and we had no where else to go). They gave us another room - door had to be pushed and slammed to close - was missing the chain lock. Hotel did not compensate us for anything.

Unfortunately I would not know where to start. They say pictures are worth 1000 words and perhaps I should send some pictures. From dried blood, black mold, insects and stained headboards I would never recommend anyone stay here. The staff at the front counter was not only inconsiderate but claimed that I should have purchased "incidentals". Apparently at this hotel "incidentals" are defined as clean rooms. Needless to say my three business partners felt the same way and experienced more or less the same service and type of room. I can assure you as a company we will never stay at any Holiday Inn.
- The entrance is 'grand' and welcoming with updated fixtures and furniture -bar was very nice looking -pool was a nice size - bedrooms were very updated and inviting -shower and tiles all new and 'clean' -lobby bathrooms very clean -staff VERY accomodating and pleasant! -Bar doesn't open until 5, had to order food from the 'outside' -the lower level (single digit rooms) aren't very sound proof. I was up all night with doors slamming and hearing various conversations from down the hall. I wonder if staying on the main level would have been less noisy
Price was low. Staff was friendly. Bar and restaurant on site. No restaurants in immediate vicinity. Shower pressure very poor and hot water doesn't last long. Chairs in room aren't super comfortable. Rooms don't have a window outside. You have a window t the hallway that others can walk by. There are windows in the hallway.
Red Roof Inn Long Island was basic but clean and quiet. I like that there's a written notice of a no partying rule displayed at the front desk. We just wanted a place to get a good night's rest at a reasonable rate before leaving out of JFK the following day and we got it here. If this is the same thing you're looking for within driving distance of JFK or Manhattan then you won't go wrong with this Red Roof Inn. There's plenty of places to eat nearby.
Stayed quite a few times and we just love it. Great little getaway, very clean, comfortable, and incredible staff. They go above and beyond to assist in any way to make your stay great. Never stayed at such a clean hotel, this is really top notch.
The location and price was perfect for us. The hotel was clean and facilities acceptable. The hotel was unable to provide a crib for my 16 month old child. They said they only have one and it was being used. It seems strange that a fairly large hotel only has one crib.
The staff was really nice! Rooms are extra clean. We stayed in a room that had the connecting door. My wife and I were trying to sleep, this is already 12:30 AM. There were kids in the next room. Laughing, joking, yelling and screaming really loud. We had to call security to get them to quiet down. Also, this hotel allows dogs. This is the worse idea. Someone with a dog across the hall, couldn't get him to sleep. As a result, he would bark all night. Generally speaking, most people do not have common sense. People would go in and out of their rooms, and allow their doors to slam, waking others in the process. We went out for breakfast. When we returned, our room smelled like marijuana. Someone near our room had smoked up, and the smoke traveled underneath the doors. The bottom line, the price is not bad, the staff is nice and friendly, the rooms are very clean, but some of the people that come to the hotel ruined it for everyone else.
The towels could be a little thicker and larger for shower use.
The tv The fact that the room was moist, the a/c not good, I woke up with a sore throat. The sink was not in the bathroom. The tub had a "dip" in the middle & had a Crack in it like too many people stood in the same spot. The lighting was poor even with 6 lamps. You had to go to the front desk for extra linen, the cleaning ladies didn't have any on the cart. Lastly, cause I'm tired of talkin. My cousins room had MOLD on the wall where the sink was that was supposed to be in the bathroom. No maintenance people on site, just a security guard. I will never stay at another red roof inn. They are ratchet & so is the staff.
The special that I got last min reservation ,cleanliness, There weren't any breakfast only coffee. I've stayed at 2star hotels and have received breakfast during my stay.

Beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and the hotel location was close to restaurants and shopping - as well as being easily accessible to expressways. While there was wireless Internet access the signal was not strong and cell phones could not connect to that network unfortunately. Ice machines on several floors seemed out of order or not working very well. The hotel was functional but basic - one small pkg of kleenex/day, 1 small shampoo pkg/day. Possibly if we asked for more it would have been provided, however.
Upgraded room was very nice with a separate lounge w/ microwave and fridge however I only got the upgrade because the initial room I was assigned had an unmade bed. The front desk addressed it quickly though.

The Hampton Inn was perfect for our needs. We visit family on Long Island and it provides us with great comfort and care. The morning breakfast tastes great and provides a variety of food that meets the dietary concerns of our family members. We stayed three nights and the main breakfast menu was different for each morning. We get a good start to the day and find it restful at night. The coffee/tea and evening cookies were delicious too. I now look for Hampton Inns when I travel.

The renovation of this hotel is really nice. It would be nice if their was a lounge with a bar to hang out after being out during the day. no where to go except the lobby. An outdoor pool would also be nice.
I accidentally booked a smoking room, the person at the front desk easily switched me to a non-smoking room (I don't think I could have stayed if one wasn't available).

the location was excellent for my family, we have family on the north shore of long island and south shore. the hotel was very clean, staff always greeted you. we unfortunately had a 3 am wake up call from a guest that was coming from a wedding and did not take "you have the wrong room" for an answer until my husband had to get a little rude, and i also thought the room would be a bit larger.
Not much, wife enjoyed her massage. Beds too small, advertised pool is actually an exercise pool in the basement 15x8 in size. Very small bar that is understaffed. Gaming center has small pool table and board games that are incomplete. Very overated overall.
The rooms were very nice, bar & restaurant were awesome. Fridge, microwave & options for beverages were good. The location was perfect for our girls night sleepover. The front desk clerk was rude & didn't explain any charges. Unfortunately they had to come and change the bed sheets because it looked as the though the weren't changed from the previous guests. The cleaning staff responded quickly and they were very apologetic.

The front desk was very welcoming. We were able to get into our room by 2pm which was nice because we were expected to be at a party by 3pm. The queen beds were very comfortable. The pillows were soft. Everything appeared cleaned. Plenty of towels for two people. The bathroom was cleaned . The hotel was quiet, no wild parties while we were there. When we walked out to the main part of the hotel, a wedding was in the process. Very nice ! We would definitely return again ! The price and accommodations fit our needs ! When we first walked into Rm 403, the room smelled musty. I really think it was the carpet. It looked like it needed a cleaning. Otherwise everything else was clean..
my stay at the hilton garden inn was wonderful,the room comfortable with excellent facilities,i especialy loved the provision of a fridge,microwave,iron and ironing board and the spaciousness of the room......the breakfast was second to none,the buffet provided great variety and the excellent waiting service by the staff was fantastic and i felt i was treated with fantastic custumer service skills and all round......definetely a must stay and id recommend it 100% ......

Very convenient to the airport and centra to the area we were visiting The water pressure was very poor. The mattress was dipped in one side as if a large person had slept in it for a long time making it very uncomfortable to sleep in.

They tried to overcharge me 4 times, and I'm still fighting it, even though I showed them the Booking.com receipt, and emailed it to them again yesterday. The maid came at 8:00 Friday morning, and after I asked them to come back later, they didn't. I had to raid the maid carts in the morning for coffee and towels. The bed was more of a lump, not a mattress. The hot tub jets weren't working. The heater was spotty at best...I was cold most of the time. They should return my money, let alone overcharge me.
Loved the pool, the rooms and the restaurant's private booths with flatscreen tvs. Waitstaff seemed a bit disorganized.
The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Rooms were clean. We booked reservations 6 months ago for four and had requested two King sized beds. When we arrived they gave us a room with one bed and offered a cot but said two cots were a fire hazard so couldn't do it. We were given two blow up mattresses which held air only for an hour or so. My kids spent the whole night re-inflating their beds every 90 minutes. Our requests for new mattresses that didn't leak for the second night fell on deaf ears. $500 for two nights and I have to pay $20 for WiFi? Really?
The bed was comfortable and I liked the overall floorplan. They made it so that the main corridor feels like you're outside, but its all closed in, which I can see being nice durning the winter. I was a little disappointed in a few things. There was no complimentary coffee. The breakfast was good but overpriced. The restaurant staff in the evening was slow and unattentative. Lastly, there was no free wifi in the rooms.

Front desk when we arrived at 3:30 pm person , was very friendly. Toilet was broken, we were not able to use., we had to go to restroom in the middle of the cafe area., which was very embarrassing. The front desk did give a discount off room for this inconvenience.

There is not much to dislike about this place. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the customer service was outstanding! Once I got to my room, the front desk called the room and offered additional assistance if needed. And later when I wanted to find a nice restaurant in the area, they were very helpful with suggestions and even gave me a menu along with drink discount cards. Free breakfast was included with my stay and the food selections were great! They have a variety of options to choose from and selections that other hotels don't offer, such as hot oatmeal and yogurt. There were plenty of beverage options and the orange juice was fresh. This hotel also offers free hot soup in the evening, which is a unique touch! Great customer service really makes a big difference and I will choose this hotel over the others when I come back into town. Thank you for a wonderful experience! One minor complaint is that I wish my bed was more comfortable.

This hotel has absolutely no negatives! This is a very special place, one here is not a guest but a family member. I have never, never, ever stayed in such a hospitable place, I cant recomend highly enough!
Very friendly staff, room service was perfect and followed up with a phone call. A lot of children were running around unsupervised and the doors are not very sound proof which led to some periods of annoying noise.
Location is the only thing which I liked. In future I will NOT stay in this hotel. Poor customer service. No room service after 10:30PM. Checking with one of the hotel manager about food availability, she gave me a wrong number and I woke up some poor guy asking for Pizza at 11 PM. Rooms are not luxury rooms but mediocre room with bathrooms that need renovation. Toilet flush was not working properly and you need to flush three times. Don't be fooled by thinking this is a luxury hotel.
Loved the history, the full range of facilities (in door and outdoor pool, racquetball court, pool table - just to name a few), the friendly and helpful staff, and most especially the exquisite and quiet setting. It was a lovely, memorable Gold Coast experience.
Convenient to Webb Institute. Excellent buffet breakfast. Parking is free but it is remote. Rooms need more outlets. Indoor swimming pool needs to be refinished.
Not much the location and how the building looked from the outside as well as the fake pictures of the inside lured me in. The building was old and jaded the staff were nice but not that professional as one might expect at a hotel. The night staffs were especially rude. The bar was filthy upstairs I got sick twice after drinking there. The bar tender didn't even have a top on the martini shaker he was using a napkin on top of the shaker so unhygienic. The carpets were dirty in the bedroom, my chair was dirty. All the rooms need to be gutted and start over. I had a friend come to visit me during my stay she couldn't believe what dump the place was compared how it's portrayed online. I was miserable during my stay and so happy to leave that Hotel. I would never stay there again ever.
Comfy bed, nice bathroom. Very long walk to room, with 2 short staircases; a real pain when carrying suitcases. Hallways a bit shabby, although repainting in process.
Breakfast buffet is good. Hotel is in process of refurbishing rooms and hallways as part of its rebranding as The Mansion. The distances between the rooms and the parking lots is very long, especially in bad weather. No covered or valet parking. Room doors slam when not closed carefully. No frequent guest or airline rewards benefits.
Nothing I couldn't get there because of the weather. Flight was cancelled and they wouldn't do anything about my reservation. I will never stay in a Sheraton again.

It was very centrally located to everything, which may it very easy to find (coming from the Jersey Shore). We had an excellent dinner at Baci (?) restaurant. And could easily get to the Scottish Festival at Old Westbury Gardens. It was impossible to adjust the temperature (as it was designed).
The location suited our needs quite well. Most staff members were courteous and helpful. The fact that there was no complimentary breakfast was a disappoint considering the price per night and the large buffet put out in the morning. I'm still not clear as to who is entitled to it and the answer I got at the front desk was vague at best.
The hotel was great. However, the king suite did not not seem to have a king bed. It seemed to be a queen bed.
The hotel is surrounded by many shopping stores and easy to get to. My only issue with the hotel is the pool is very small. The hotel was great and in a great location.

Location, location, location. Located just off Old Country Road in Westbury, it's in the heart of the Carle Place/Westbury area, easy to get to from highways or streets and close to nearby Nassau Coliseum, Eisenhower Park and other area attractions. Breakfast isn't included and it's too expensive. For $14.95 per person, one can go to any of the many local diners and get a wider array of breakfast offerings as well as larger portions.

We liked the beds not much else We usually stay a lot at holiday inns usually pretty good the fact that there redoing the hotel was a pain we had to park far away with children our room was kinda falling apart just looked old and people were abusing it, pulling in was a problem it was coned off my wife got sick from the breakfast and took the kids while I showered told me don't ever eat it lol the staff weren't that friendly except the night lady with short hair the staff during the day were kinda rude we expected better from holiday inn we've stayed at many around the country our favorite in the one in French quarters of New Orleans but the one on Long Island New York we won't stay at again and we visit every other month I hate writing bad reviews and usually I don't write many reviews but we would have stayed else where if we had known place wasn't that good
We stayed during an unusual quite time for this hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The renovation at this property over the past year definitely improves its look and appearance of cleanliness. We do stay here frequently as the price is usually right and the hotel seems well managed. The lobby area is small and can be overrun at times with guests. Demands on the elevators can be annoying, although not an issue the past visit. The setting of the hotel is right off the expressway, which comes with noise and stark views.
