Pros: I had to move up the pickup time a day earlier and was able to do so without any problem. The big surprise was that the price even went down!

Cons: I wanted a car from the Hertz STL airport.
When I got there, the reservation was for
another location. The email confirmation
that Kayak sent, only had Hertz customer
Service numbers. I had no way of contacting
Kayak to transfer the reservation. So I ended
up with a compact(instead of a mid size)
that cost four times as much!! I've very
disappointed that Kayak makes it so difficult
to contact them and I don't think it wouldve
killed Hertz to just give me a similar rate
To help out a customer. The car was fine
but I've never waited so long for shuttle that
Took me back to the airport.

St Louis office needs help
Pros: Car had a nice large trunk. Reasonable gas mileage.
Judy in the Hertz billing office was able to adjust my bill to the agreed upon KAYAK rate after I returned the car. Thank you, Judy. (See next box for complaint)
Cons: Pickup experience in St Louis was dreadful. I had a new agent who was inexperienced and couldn't figure out how to give me the rate on my KAYAK reservation, and the location manager didn't respond to her requests for assistance. We were running late and needed a car, so she rented me a car at a "walk up" rate which was about $200 more than I had been quoted.

Worst Car Rental Ever
Cons: I rented with Hertz through Kayak. I asked for rental at St. Louis Airport. The car was not at airport. They wanted to charge us an extra $200. We took Uber to actual site. A car was not ready. They washed a car for us to take. They hassled us about "add ons".

Pros: When I submitted my order it changed my location so when I went to pick up it was wrong. Thank goodness they were able to fix it.
Cons: The over charges for not staying in the area. I could have driven as many miles in St. Louis and been charged less. Ridiculous !

slow check in
Cons: Check in took too long, over 40 minutes for a confirmed reservation and I was only customer when I walked in. Staff tried hard to sell me multiple insurances. At turn in location, computers were down.

Cons: There was no call to confirm the reservation 24 hours before which would have saved a lot of hassle. When my mom called to ask about the pickup they had already cancelled the reservation. When she made a new one she made it clear she was picking it up for me and that another driver was involved. They did not mention 1) that there was a fee for another driver and most importantly 2) that the other driver had to be there. If someone says they're picking the car up for their daughter and their daughter can't come and you know the daughter has to be there you should say on the phone before the person comes into your store "Your daughter has to be here." They didn't. My mom went to the store and had to wait at the store for 3 hours because her ride had gone to work. Absolutely horrific customer service.
The car itself was pretty mediocre. There was no cruise control which I honestly though came pretty standard on almost every car made within the last 20 years. Other than that there was nothing wrong with it and nothing great about it which is alright since it's just a rental car.
Mainly just be very upfront when people call on the phone with tricky situations rather than making them come in and sit at your store for hours.
Cons: That I had put that I would return the car in Chicago Illinois and when I called to the local budget they said if I returned in Chgo I would be charged $150.00 daily that's insane so I had to drive all the way to Arnold Missouri to return the car missed some appointments I had schedules on Friday because of the inconvenience and will most likely not rent from budget again I've never had that issue with Enterprise very very upset!!!

"Near Airport" rental was on the other side of tow
Pros: The customer service at the Fiat Dealership/Budget Pickup location was great.
Cons: kayak advertised this as ""near airport" when this location is 30 minutes from the airport on the otherside of town.
The car smelled like cigarettes.

It was 20 minutes away from the airport location. Had to pay twice as much on Avis. not a good first experience..

Cons: The final cost was not the confirmed price of the reservation. Counter person attitude was not one would except for customer service. The person did not go over the details of added items and did not want to say why charges were different. It would be nice if someone went over the car with you instead of pointing out were in the lot its located. Finally, it bothers me that there is an hourly charge for each hour not returned on the exact time of pickup. I was charged $21 dollars for forty minutes of being so-called late in return even though the return time was printed on the paper work which turned out was the time I thought I would have had the car back.

Cons: I thought I had rented a car from Budget next to the airport and when I got there it was 31 miles away so I had to rent one from budget at more then double the rate of the budget for 31 miles away. Needless to say I paid the extra money. but won't use Kayak again to rent cars
Pros: I liked that personnel inspected the car at the beginning with you
Cons: The car was wet when they gave it to me, they had just washed it, which is fine but if it had some damage it would be hard to see with the reflect of the water

Pros: The ease of picking up the car and dropping it off. The agents were very nice and helpful.
Cons: The cost of the added insurance. I know this is an option but I paid $40 for the car and $60 for the insurance! I did not like that part.

Wrong enterprise location
Cons: This Enterprise was 40 minutes from the airport with no shuttle. The airport shuttle took us to the one in Berkley that was 5 minutes from the airport and had the shuttle. The taxi alone would have been more than the car rental

Horrible, need my money back
Pros: The enterprise that kayak selected to use was not the same location that the airport takes you to with their shuttle. Therefore I had to rent a completely different car from the airport enterprise or try to figure out some way to get 40 minutes away where the reservation was. Kayak should know that the airport shuttle does not go to the location that was selected and that it would be extremely difficult to get there without knowing a lot about that area. I didn't get to use my kayak reservation and because of kayak I had to rent 2 cars essentially and only used one. Please don't waste my money and refund my reservation.

Pros: Got me in and out quick, was cheaper than I booked for, big plus!
The car was a bit woren out on the inside but got me where I was going.
Pros: I made a reservation without realizing I it was for a location other than the international airport location where I was arriving. It took a long time to get to the desk upon arrival. Once I got to the desk, I found out my mistake. To complicate matters, it was on Thursday before the Easter weekend. The other location was 30 minutes or so away. The rental agent gave me the price for a new reservation at the airport--but it was almost double the price of my reservation. After several minutes and a final request to see if the rental agent could do ANYTHING to help me, he found a rate that was $20 higher than my original reservation. I really appreciated that!!! Sometimes slower is okay. Thank you!
Cons: If I could have gotten through the process faster, I could have spent more time seeing St. Louis...but as mentioned...I made the reservation mistake and Avis/Budget helped me out.
