Cons: When I rent a car I expect it to be clean and full of gas. This was neither. The car had not been washed. It still had the white road salt/chemicals on it. There were stains in the back seat.
The attendant said the car had 3/4 tank of gas in it. It actually was just a bit less.
For a number one rental car company I expected a lot more. Very disappointed.

Pros: Female rep tried to help the situation
Cons: We were not informed what procedure to take at airport since car was off site.Car was dirty and tires poor. It smelled like smoke. Not informed they were closed on Sunday when ordering on line and we had to take a cab at $35. additional dollars to get to the airport. The male rep was rude and uncaring

Hertz location incorrect on GPS
Pros: People working at Hertz were very nice, honest and helpful.
Cons: Car had not been cleaned.
O'fallon Illinois actual location was 10 minutes away from where GPS driving directions for this address. Parking lot had no room for car delivery or for parking the car when i delivered it monday at 4-4:15pm.
Despite this, employees were kind and helpful, and delivered me and others to and from nearby belleville airport with a smile.

Cons: Car ran okay but was not very clean - also had tape adhesive on the outside of it - doors and trunk appeared to have been taped shut previously. Also felt the rental cost was rather high for an economy car. Not sure where the feature originated, but not having the ability to open the car doors after a trip without manually unlocking was a bit weird. I also don't remember the last time I had a car without a key fob and had to manually unlock doors with a key from the outside. Wait time to pick the car up was 35-40 minutes and wait time to return the car was 15-20 minutes, this is poor customer service.

Do not use! use Enterprise if going to st Louis
Cons: They did not offer pick up or drop off at the airport. The car was dirty windows were not clean. Dropped off car they had no assigned spots for Hertz cars in parking lot, and no other spots either. The car windows were filthy inside car was not cleaned prior to our pick up. The car drove poorly needed wheel alignment.
Pros: Price was fair and they upgraded us when they ran out of the class of car I rented.
Cons: The rep asked for a 2nd phone number, home, spouse, parent etc, when I asked why, since I have never had any car company require a 2nd number, including enterprise, which I had just used the week prior, she stated that it was company policy and they can't rent to me without a 2nd number on file and that they wouldn't sell my info to outside companies. They only use the info to get a hold of me if they can not reach me on my cell do to lose or damage to my phone. What sense does that make? If my cell is lost or stolen, how will anyone be able to reach me? If I gave her my home number (which I do not have), and I am gone, who is suppose to answer and get a hold of me if no one is home, LOL. Her logic was so off. My biggest complaint about this policy is, why is a car company being so nosey? No one needs my mother or other family members phone numbers. I am 43 years old, I think I can handle my own car rental without someone else's phone number having to get involved. To top it off I had to wait 30 minutes for a car to be cleaned and it wasn't even very clean when we got it.
