Pick Up: They gave me an older car that smelled like cigarette smoke. While I was the only customer, it felt like I was an inconvenience and they rushed the process. Drop Off: As a Hurricane Ida evacuee who was stranded with canceled flights, I chose to drive down. When I returned the rental early to Gulfport, it was returned with almost the exact gas level as it was given to me with. Being in the area of a major natural disaster, there were gas lines which made it cost and time prohibitive to fill up 1 more gallon. Hertz charged me for a full tank of gas at $10 per gallon— which I consider to be price gouging knowing the situation at hand. The representative was overwhelmed and barely acknowledged the drop off.

The staff helped me t sync my phone since I had never done it before and all was easy after that.I had not requested this kind of car, yet I found that I was more than pleased with every aspect of it. And since I sat in that car for three days straight, driving from east coast to west coast, that is saying quite a lot.

Car was nice, clean, and comfortable.Rate at pickup was about $70 more than rate quoted. (This was quickly fixed.) Drop-off point was a Mazda Dealership - there wasn't any signage at all. I had to ask the sales guys if I was in the right place and, even after they pointed me to the right place, the only "signage" was a COVID notice on the door and a rug on the floor INSIDE the facility. When a customer is trying to return property you by a specific deadline, this additional stress is not a good thing.

NothingWas not able to rent because if their policy for security deposit. When reservation was cancelled my card was charged for the rental fee a second time. $350 charged to my credit for a rental that never occurred

bad customer service. car was paid for with third party priceline. insurance purchased as well. come to find when we got to the airport to get the car we were denied because we were using a debit card. clearly using the debit card to pay should have been a prompt to tell us we could not use this card for the car since it was not a major credit card. I dont even understand the difference anyway. pay is pay. this caused us to be late to an event where my sister was lecturing and a dinner in her honor was delayed. this could have all been avoided if the person booking would have explained this rule
