Cons: My drivers license and credit card were not returned to me during pickup process. I realized I did not have them when I arrived at my destination. The next day I spent 2 hours driving 70 miles in heavy traffic to retrieve my license and credit card. When asked for some type of rate reduction or consideration for my inconvenience I was told to call the manager. When I called I spoke to an assistant Mgr who told me the employee said he left my items on counter and I did not take them, so they would not do anything for me. In fact, the employee was very busy - I had to wait for service and there were people waiting behind me and the items were definitely not put on the counter. Very disappointed with this customer service!

Great response to my error
Pros: I booked a car that was going out of the wrong airport by mistake. Going out of the right airport would have resulted in much higher prices but the rep honored my intentions and charged much less than it would have been. Very grateful.

Cons: Car was dirty when we picked it up and the staff at JFK was unfriendly
Pros: Convenient place to pick up the rental and the person checking me in was great.
Cons: The car only had half a tank but when I called they said not to worry and I just put in enough to get the tank back to where it was when I picked it up. There did seem to be a slight odor of cigarettes in the car.

Reserved car was not present
Cons: When i arrived at 8:00 am at norwood MA location my reserved car wad mot available I was directed to Dedham MA location sched to open 1 hour later. At dedham office i was overcharged and informed that different locations have different charges
When i was given the car it was filled with trash which i took some time cleaning that was odd since I was the first renter of that car
when i got home my girlfriend found the car to be unacceptably trash strewn she noted that when she removed a container of apple juice from the back seat it spilled creating a sticky mess

Cons: they wouldn't rent me a car because i didn't have credit which is the stupidest thing because alot of people in the dont have one their service suck unlike enterprise has no issues they gt you a rental in 10 min no credit card as long you got debit or cash on you
Cons: I rented the car from Thursday til Sunday. When I picked it up they said I had to rent to til Monday even though I had the Thursday-Sunday agreement. And they tried to charge me a higher rate. Additionally, they weren't going to tell me about the responder surcharge. I had to ask. I now have a credit card dispute with them for the added cost. Too much time spent on this. Pretty low of them.

Pros: The address of the Hertz location is wrong. They moved 6 months ago.
The new location does not have running water, therefore, they don’t wash their cars. Plan on getting a car in need of a wash.

Car was not sufficiently cleaned and gas tank was on a quarter tank.
Pros: Hertz representative was courteous and knowledgeable.
Cons: The car was not fully cleaned or fueled. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to fuel the tank.
