Cons: I searched for Palm Beach international airport. My booking said so. But the location was wrong. I had to wait 20 min in line at the counter just to be told the location on my booking had just closed and I had no car. I had to hold a n phone for another 20 mins to Hertz to make a new booking at a much higher price. So I paid for 2 bookings. I won't use Kayak again.

Pros: David, the Hertz guy, helped me out with Uber
Cons: The car was not at the airport and I had to get a $20 dollar cab ride to the Hertz at 3000 Dixie Highway. Then i had to get a ride back to the airport through Uber ... another $10.
So my $30 dollar rental cost me $60 dollars. Where's the savings Kayak?

Pros: Car cleanliness was not great. Bad car wash. Not that convenient a pick up spot - I thought it was at PBI but guess that was my fault. Car was a piece of junk.

Pros: Very pleasant lady received the vehicle and we were out in a swift. Transportation to the airport was provided immediately besides the hours of drop off.
Cons: When I made the reservation, I selected a different location for drop off. I picked PBI for the airport location but the reservation system picked a location near the airport when I complaint about the pick, the agency was able to change it but at a higher price. So inconvenient.

Surprised by West Palm Beach Hertz
Cons: Made my reservation online, first time using Hertz in West Palm. Took the shuttle to the Hertz car center, but they told me that I did not have a reservation. They looked at my paperwork and told me that my car was reserved at the "other" West Palm location, about 5 miles away. I asked "How do I get there?". They said I needed to take a taxi. $20 later, I found the small Hertz location on Dixie Ave. The Nissan Sentra they gave me had a bad squeal during acceleration. I had to take it back the next day and get a different car. This time I got a Hyundai that ran OK but was dirty inside. They would not let me drop the car off at the airport location, so I had to ask a friend who lived down there to give me a ride to the airport at 5AM.
LESSON - Do not use the Dixie Hwy Hertz if you are flying in and out of PBI.
Cons: Had 1/4 tank. Charged for 2 gals and upgrade when drop off at WPI. Elizabeth Mattos Mgr said no upgrade would be charged. Not open when drrop off attempted at local office. No response to calls.Charged $345. Never use again.

I had trouble getting my bag on board and he did not even help my traveling companion with her bag on or off. he should be removed as a driver.

Cons: Didn't realize we had to pick up at an off-airport location. Multiple staff at the airport had us looking for a 'courtesy' shuttle, only to find out there wasn't one! $25 cab ride which was re-imbursed by Alamo. Nearly an hour of wasted time!

Kayak screwed us up
Cons: Kayak said this was an airport pick up. Unfortunately it was not. We needed to take a cab 20 minutes away. Luckily Alamo reimbursed us the cab fee; however, kayak should have.

Pros: I had reserved a car at the wrong WPB location and it would have closed prior to my getting there at 4pm on a saturday. After calling Alamo customer service they were able to get me the same reservation at the Airport location center ( which closes at midnight) for only $7.50 more and I even was given a free upgrade from compact to midsize once i picked up my car at the location. THANKS ALAMO!

Pros: I had to extend a couple of days and they made it painless and reasonable.
Cons: Had no idea that I was supposed to call for airport pickup - as opposed to waiting on drive by shuttles. I don't recall seeing this info when I made the reservation.
Also, just telling someone that the car holds 5 passengers and two bags does not really give much of a feel for the type of car you will get. I fault Kayak for this as although it was technically accurate ( 5 people and two bags in a Hyundai Accent - really ) I consider it misleading.

There should be better coordination / instructions from Kayak
Pros: The car was very nice and affordable. The people at the ACE agency were pleasant and cooperative.
Cons: There were no instruction on the rental agreement from Kayak that the customer should CALL the agency for pickup upon arrival. The other companies vans came and left several times before we finally called the agency and figured out that a call was required to initiate a pickup at the airport. This should not reflect on ACE - it should reflect on KAYAK - if I had known to make that call I would have saved a lot of time.

Pros: The shuttle arrived in a timely manner to transport us to the off airport location. Our vehicle was ready and waiting when we arrived. The manager said that he gave us an upgrade but I have no way to know if that happened.
Cons: I did not like that the rental office was not open when we wanted to return the car which resulted in an extra cost for me. I returned the car to the long term parking area at the airport which was fine. But I got charged $11 for the parking fee which is a cost that I was not expecting when I made the reservation.
The car also did not have cruise control or a digital speedometer. I didn't rent the cheapest class available so I was surprised to not have what I consider very basic equipment on the vehicles of today.

Pros: From the checking in to the returning. The service was superior. The vehicle was clean and ready to go!
Did not have any car available despite reservation
Cons: We showed up at the rental location and they did not have our SUV or anything similar available. They said they would put us in a wait list and call us IF one becomes available. Completely ridiculous. We're a family of five and just left us stranded. I called head office and they said there was nothing they could do for us because they are franchised locations. This is the second time Enterprise has done this. Kayak should remove them as a supplier.
