Cons: I reserved a car over a week before the scheduled pick up and I was informed on the day of my reservation that Hertz had no rental cars available. I was not provided with a courtesy phone call to advise me that there was no car available and did not receive an apology for their error. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, a Hertz representative, Laurenae, advised me that there were no rental cars in my area and that there was nothing she could do. She then went on to say, "What do you want me to do, I don't control the weather." I was appalled by the lack of remorse and the poor customer service. I understand that things happen and mistakes are made; however, the terrible customer service is what set me over and caused the most frustration. I will never use this company or recommend using them to anyone again. Worst experience ever!

Pros: That i was able to get a rental unlike several people the day before.
Cons: the fact that the car was dirty/ front brakes were shot/ not the car i reserved

Pros: The price through Kayak was unbeatable as was the ease of booking.

Notified of no car available 30 minutes before time of reservation
Pros: 1. I appreciate that I was able to locate a car at another Hertz location after one location stood me up at the last minute.
2. I also like that I could go to another Hertz location to add an additional driver who lived in a city different from where I live. (Other counters, i.e Budget, were not able to accommodate additional drivers who could not be present at the time of car pick-up.)
Cons: Did not like that I received a call from the Raeford Road store at 9:30 a.m. to notify me that there was no car available for me for my 10:00 a.m. reservation (that I had made about a month in advance.) The person who called did not offer any solutions. My travel was very necessary.
While I was able to get a car from another Hertz location at the last minute, I had no choice of cars because it was so last minute. Overall however, I feel that this second counter did their best to accommodate me.
