Pros: Convenient place to pick up the rental and the person checking me in was great.
Cons: The car only had half a tank but when I called they said not to worry and I just put in enough to get the tank back to where it was when I picked it up. There did seem to be a slight odor of cigarettes in the car.

Reserved car was not present
Cons: When i arrived at 8:00 am at norwood MA location my reserved car wad mot available I was directed to Dedham MA location sched to open 1 hour later. At dedham office i was overcharged and informed that different locations have different charges
When i was given the car it was filled with trash which i took some time cleaning that was odd since I was the first renter of that car
when i got home my girlfriend found the car to be unacceptably trash strewn she noted that when she removed a container of apple juice from the back seat it spilled creating a sticky mess
Pros: Agents were very helpful but can't reopen an office.
Cons: Booked a special rate at an offsite agent. Our flight was delayed which put our arrival time after their closing time. When rescheduling for the following morning the discounted rate disappeared. Ended up cancelling the entire booking. Unduly stressful.

Pros: Exterior of the car was dirty however a voucher was given to use at the local car wash. This should be handled prior to the rental.
Pros: I got added insurance protection, which I rarely get, for a long trip and I also got pre-paid gas. The fuel gauge facilitated returning the car near empty and accurately tracking mileage. I put about 1,000 miles on the car and had no problems.
Cons: Every time I checkout a car with Hertz, I'm told I'll get an email to complete my Hertz Gold Membership, but I never do. I always follow-up with personnel at the counter to inform them I never receive that email to complete their membership process. After several rentals, I'm still not sure if I'm getting benefits under their Gold Membership program or not. I don't rent too frequently, so I consider this a very minor point.

Cons: I rented the car from Thursday til Sunday. When I picked it up they said I had to rent to til Monday even though I had the Thursday-Sunday agreement. And they tried to charge me a higher rate. Additionally, they weren't going to tell me about the responder surcharge. I had to ask. I now have a credit card dispute with them for the added cost. Too much time spent on this. Pretty low of them.
