Cons: They didn't have my car type and then downgraded me instead of upgraded me. And then the car was an older model. I have used both car rental agencies across the street from them and had a much better experience.

Pros: The car was ready and clean. A short line and was served promptly and helpful, and easy as a gold member. The car had HEATED seats which is great in cold weather.

Hunk of junk car
Cons: Dear Hertz,
I am a frequent traveler and I have to say today's rental experience is the worst by far in many years. I am driving 600+ today and this car had made the trip miserable. First when I booked the car I checked on the hertz website to make sure that the class of car I was booking had cruise control. Second when I arrived at the rental facility I asked if the car had cruise and I was told yes. After getting checked in we headed out to dothe vehicle inspection. Before the inspection I was told this car is pretty beat up. That was the understatement of the year. This rental looks like it did 500 miles at Bristol Motor Speedway then crashed into by the pace car following the race. The Hertz associate acknowledged that they were happy to have this car gone. Ten minutes into the trip I realized that the car in fact did NOT have cruise. I immediately called the Hertz location back and was told that they could only rent me something in a larger vehicle class for a small uncharge of $40.00. The fact that I am only paying $73.98 for the entire rental I don't think that a 50% up charge is acceptable. He told me to call another location on my journey to switch it out. I called the corporate number and the very nice lady called every Hertz from Chicago to Mississippi and no one had a car with cruise due to it being spring break. Additionally the transmission on this car is slipping and making some very unnerving sounds. This Corolla has almost 40,000 miles with near bald tires. I find this entire experience unacceptable and not to the standards I feel that Hertz's advertises. If I wanted a car like this I would rent from Enterprise.
In closing please train your employees not to lie when asked about features on a car. Also please take cars off your lot before they become this bad.

Not a great rental place
Cons: Took me an hour to get the rental vehicle and there were just 3 people in the line.
The vehicle we rented was an SUV and expected Jeep Compass or similar but ended up with Jeep Renegade. The guy at the rental store said he wanted to get rid of Renegade from his location.

Cons: No one at Hertz when we arrived,had to wait 30 minutes for his return . Car had no tread on front tires which we noticed after rental so had to return for a different car

Very poor customer service
Pros: The convenience of the pick up & drop off. Because of the problem they did upgrade our rental.
Cons: We had a problem at pick up. Somehow someone else's reservation came up and had been started before I noticed the different name. Unfortunately our credit card was charged 2 times for over $300. We were assured that since it was a "pending" charge it would be taken off immediately or in short order. We left on our vacation and the charge went through. I called at least 3 times and asked for the manager to call me back. He was evidently on vacation for 2 weeks and I asked for the area manager to call. I never received a phone call. But I did notice the charge was finally taken off by the end of the week and might have been reduced a bit. But I never received a call back. And if someone had a very strict budget and was counting on using that money on their vacation it could have been ruined. Thankfully it did not affect our vacation other than the annoyance and non-responsive management. The drop-off was convenient but since no one is there on Sundays if we had not purchased the insurance from Hertz we would have been liable for any damage to the car until they open on Monday.
