Location, price and shower. Difficult climb up steep, narrow stairs with our luggage.
Very comfortable room. Kitchen on another floor. No staff available. The person who answered the phone could not understand we could not get in. We finally got someone to call us back to let us know how to get in. Should have been made clear when the reservation was made.
Cute, clean room in a great location, very close to public transportation and food. The AC was on and the room was very cold (50 degrees F according to the thermometer) when I arrived. I turned on the heat, left for dinner, and when I came back the room was still only 62 degrees.
Unusual but appealing concept, very nice, clean room, comfy bed, hi quality linens, towels and robes with awesome steam shower. Decent neighborhood, not loop but not far (again a plus for us, but not for all) Our room (3A) overlooked the street and street noise penetrated readily, light sleepers beware. Noise from other rooms also penetrated easily but neighbors were very respectful, thus minimizing a potential issue (quiet requested from all guests).

with a car, very convenient getting to highways dark room, poor telephone services
The staff could see I was very apprehensive a woman on my own in this not so comforting area. They immediately moved me to the Suites were I was locked up safe. I was very scared after being told by an Officer in Chicago Sheriffs department and then the Taxi driver dropping me there. The energy of the property was very scary for me and would never go cheap again. I did not leave my room only to get dinner from the place below.
spacious room, great access to the L train, comfortable, and very quality for the price.
The staff was pleasant and very willing to assist. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good.
The room was large and clean. It is right by downtown Chicago. The staff was nice. Can't beat the price. The neighborhood is a little scary. I felt pretty comfortable walking around during the day, but probably wouldn't at night.
The room was neat, clean and smelled really good. Housekeeping was perfect. The room had useful appliances and no noise was heard from outside. The subway is pretty close. You can get from O'Hare in 1:30h for $2.25. The neighborhood is really fishy. I do not recommend leaving alone or at hanging around the hotel at night.
