Staff and breakfast! Dated but well refurbished Quite a ways out from Boston, but not a terribly bad drive in to town.
Clean room, no residue odor of smoking, everything working. The front desk crew were cheerful and helpful. The included 'breakfast' was unappetizing, disappointing.

location and room facilities, and the continental breakfast is excellent
The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was exceptionally friendly and informative. The showers were the greatest! I'd chose them again!

Clean exercise room No
The good ratings are accurate! This lodging is in a quiet location outside the hubub of the area. All was very clean, in order, pleasant staff, efficient in all ways. A very good place to stay.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable room. No.
The friendliness of the staff and their attitude towards sorting out problems
Loved the history of the Inn and the charming dining rooms, taverns and common area.
Service is always wonderful, and the staff make the visit quite enjoyable. The Inn has a unique, very appealing charm.
The thing I like best was that this hotel is on the historic register. I stayed in the "newer" section, but it was still a true piece of history. It is also a short walk from North Bridge and Sleepy Hollow Cemetary, two very significant places in America. I thought the room was too small and the furnishings, carpet, and linens were shabby. Yes, there is a difference between "period" and just in need of update.
They upgraded our room because the original room was near the Tavern which was noisy, also much smaller than our upgrade. Also, we received $25 toward a meal at the Inn. Great deal! Initally they could not find our reservation. Apparently, someone at the hotel had crossed out our reservation and changed it to the following month. Fortunately, they had plenty of rooms available to accommodate us.
Breakfast was excellent. Location of the hotel was very good.
Close to the historical sites of Concord. The hotel was extremely loud. Our room was on the floor above, and not even directly above, the bar. The live music was sooooo loud that despite having earplugs, and smothering my head with pillows the music was still loud. If we hadn't needed to get up early in the morning it wouldn't have been a problem, but it made getting up at 6 impossible. Also the bed was extremely uncomfortable, which made relaxing after the music finally stopped impossible.
They tried to overcharge me. Luckily I had m email from you and could show them the rate.
Special thanks to Maria at the restaurant, and Roe, the omelette chef for outstanding service. Nothing.
Good level of service and venue Pool is too far from rooms
The staff are very nice and accomodating. Rooms are comfortable and include wifi. The restaurant is just ok
Parking shoub be free.... One reazon i change to anotyer hotel.... But the night i stay was perfect.. Larry G
The room was cleaned and well maintained. I found the shower to be really tiny, not enough room but I can ignore that There was no coffee in the room
The online description advised on-site parking, it sure was, at $38 a day, I could have stayed at the Marriott down the road with free parking $38 a day parking, turned my $150 room into a $200 a night room after taxes, very deceiving
loved my room and the location!
Good elevator security, location, friendly doormen, the staff apologized for not taking care of my water problem or leaving a note. Didn't fix the loud banging noise when I used the hot water in the bathroom sink, mold in the shower drain, shower clothes line didn't work, no Boston papers available, coffee poor quality, Starbucks croissants were day old and cost $4+, I had a view over industrial Boston, obstructed by the gym. Even the gym faced away from the water.
Hotel is clean and comfortable, Free wifi. High parking costs
GREAT location. Nice room with a good layout. Comfortable bed. Extra pillows. There were flying gnats in the dining area and the bar area. Really unpleasant.
Easy about 1 mile walk to back bay. Room smelled musty. First was given a room that wasn't cleaned properly. A shirt was in the corner of the room and a black mascara mark on the pillow. Then was moved to a room with a balcony which was nicer but still smelled musty and had eaten food(baba ganoush) left in the fridge. Housekeeping needs to improve! Will never stay again. Hyatt Regency in East Boston by the airport is way better!
It was comfortable. The staff was awesome. It was run down and the parking was over priced considering there was a lot of empty parking spots and outside the city.
I liked both restaurants inside. It was very clean. The staff were amazing. It was a great experience.
The location, view and Ambiance/decor They charged $40 a night to park my car!!! It should be included or at least a lower set price!.. Also: bathroom vent was not working Gym facility needs updating too!
the staff late cleaning
The staff were very friendly, very accommodating. Valet, front desk, in room dining, and bell service all exceptionally hospitable Wish windows/ view were bigger
They hotel was very nice but the staff were even nicer. Except maybe the valet guys. They seemed bitter but it was very cold outside also. The 38 dollars a day to park your car at the hotel.
Clean, Warm, nice rooms and great staff. I would stay there again. No negatives.
Great staff Goog location Goodl value Everything
great dining on the riverfront. Friendly staff Food and beverage excellent. Would be nice if they had more vegan/vegetarian choices.
24 hour gym Complimentary wireless Location far from Beacon hill Construction
The front desk staff was friendly and expedient. Great location, right on the water -- excellent running trails. All rooms have waterfront views. My room was clean, comfortable, and updated. There are set taxi rates from the hotel to the airport -- so be sure you get the negotiated fare! Art Bar had slow service -- I would recommend leaving the property to eat.
Everything was modern looking and a great location Too pricy for a thursday night
The hairs in and around the tub were so unpleasant, I spent about 15 minutes cleaning the tub before I could use it. Shampoo from dispenser does not lather. How many people touch those nasty things??? It also fell off the wall when i was trying to dispense shampoo. We were interrupted twice due to smoke complaints on our floor. We smelled it too. The kids next door screamed and ran around until about 11. But I booked this room JUST to get some peace and quiet while working on an important project for work. That didnt happen. If i knew the night would go like this I wouldnt have spent 200 dollars. Also, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and there is no extra blanket to be found anywhere in the room.
Room's are well furnished and clean Bed was above average comfort Lobby is ugly, even without construction Nothing stands out about the hotel.
Excellent location. Right next to MIT and Novartis. 1) The temperature in the breakfast room was a bit COLD. It is a large room and one entire side is windows. I visited in mid-November. I wonder what it is like when winter sets in. 2) The water pressure in my shower was on the low side. 3) The fan in the climate control is noisy.
Staff were fantastic Construction going on in the lobby Lamps were ragged and stain on the sofa
Nothing They overbooked me and told me the day of.
All of the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular, Daniel at the front desk and Paul at Sidney's. They went out of their way to give us insight and recommendations regarding the area and just went above and beyond in general. The king bed was very comfortable and the 3rd floor roof garden was beautiful! We had a view from our room and were so pleasantly surprised. We spent quite a bit of time in it and feel that it's a great selling point for the hotel. The hotel is very beautiful with spectacular modern lighting and art. We spent some time at Sidney's both eating and at the bar and found the food and drinks to be very tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many options. The room could use some deep cleaning. The headboard, chaise, and pendant lamp had very noticeable stains on them. The air conditioner was very noisy when it kicked off or on, loud enough to wake us up during the night.
The staff were so helpful, they accommodated all of our needs, room service was great, a bit pricey but the breakfast was good. Overall our stay was amazing. We have stayed before and came back because the motel is spotless the beds are clean and cloud like. We will be back again.
itsclean and staffs are nice and friendly there was a baby and his parents livimg in the next room.the toddler was crying whole night so i could not rrst or sleep after a lomg flight there should be a separate floor for families with kids.
Staff was nice. Location is terrific for quick access to Cambridge/MIT Beds only so-so and pillows not great. Bathroom fixtures and amenities are also just okay. Walls are thin. Used to think of Meridien as an upscale brand, but this is just an average hotel.
Very beautiful and comfy rooms. nothing
Clean, well kept, staff friendly and very helpful. Price for basic room little high, but gave excellent discount for emergency extension for two days.
Expensive and smell of Chinese or thai or some sort of food as soon as you enter the hotel
Extremely nice facilities. Sharp hotel. Fantastic location / proximity to attractions
I loved that When i told them my Finance was the day of our stay, not only did all the front desk know about it and wished her a happy bday. They went the extra mile by giving her a card, balloons, and chocolate cover fruit. It made her super happy. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!! there is nothing not to like
While staying two nights we had need of the business center to print flight tickets and 2 out of 3 computers were not working which led a back up of guests needing the computers. One belligerent guest would not allow us even to request when he would be finished so we could use it and proceeded to push me out of the room. After approaching the front desk into this matter they checked into it but he had already left. I've worked in a NYC hotel in Times Square for over 20 years and even I hadn't encountered this situation. You might need to look into keeping this up to date since it is now becoming more prevalent and almost necessary to keep the web and wifi in working order.
Easy to reach, good parking, spacious, quiet room, very good breakfast offering. Staff was not welcoming, seemed rather bored. Hotel lobby was not clean, and the carpeted stairs to the mezzanine level were dirty when I arrived, and still dirty on checkout the next morning. Not expected for a Hilton property.
The Embassy Suites were nice overall. Only complaints, the bed was awful, and many children were running around like it was playground.
I just loved everything and I will definitely go back again and again
Suite was great for family of three. Good breakfast.
The hotel is very nice, more like a luxury hotel than an extended stay. The breakfast bar is really really good. Probably one of the cleaner hotels I have stayed in. I got the room for 145, which was an absolute bargain IMO. Great place, very professional staff. Not much the hotel can do about it, but if you are sleeping in the front room of the suite, it is very loud when the other guests close their doors. The manager should test it out sometime. Maybe put door closers to prevent unintentional slamming?
The suite was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in, the overall design of the building is magnificent and eye catching, it is not easy to get lost in the building, the workers were all friendly, and there included breakfast was more than we had hoped for. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we intend to stay there again. The Internet was slow and lagging in the bedroom but they had notes placed in the room apologizing and expressing they were working on fixing that issue.
We liked the layout of the hotel how it was open and everything was in one building also the glass elevator. the staff was over all friendly. When we arrived they first put us in a room where the thermostate was broken and a panel was off and against the wall. When we called the guest services first said they would send someone up to fix it an hour passed and we were freezing so I called back and they didn't even remember I called than they sent up someone with new keys for us to a different room this guy was the electrician and knew the system was broken. The bathroom did not have a fan so the bathroom filled up with steam when you took a shower Than the elevator was dirty and the pool was freezing cold and the hot tub had chunks of hair and dead skin along with other things floating in the water. The room service and breakfast both made me and my boyfriend sick. We definitely will not be returning.
The rooms where big and clean. The continental breakfast was excellent and had good variety.
Complimentary buffet full breakfast. Easy to get to off interstate. Suite style amenable to family visit. Beds not comfortable, too soft. Limited room amenities.
Room was huge and very comfortable. I would stay again without a doubt. Breakfast was blah.
Excellent hotel- would defintely stay there again.
the friendly and helpful staff. the bathrobes and bath products. we did not bring our pet but we like that the hotel is pet friendly and would consider staying there with our pet. liked the complimentary glass of wine we couldn't think of anything
The bed was very comfortable and the robes were a little wild but very nice. Room was clean. Decor was a little over the top in the rooms themselves but the common areas were very nice.
The staff was professional and patient. The room was wonderful. Nothing.
Comfort was good and staff was really helpful. the upholstery and wild animals fur decorations of my room! Gosh, how kitsch! ;-)
The Conceirge did a fabulous job!
location and a safe area friendly staff , luxury hotel
Everything. Starting with the deco going from the confortable rooms and ending with the amazing food.
Stylish, very friendly and helpful staff
Hotel staff was great.Loved the pet friendly environment.
Great location and service was very good.
Staff is professional and very nice and helpful. Hotel is well kept. Excellent free coffee in the morning. Water in the evening. Parking is not free but reasonable. Beds are very comfortable. Cute pets in the hotel sometimes.
Location to the T- able to access the whole city from the hotel Room was small for price
I was very pleasantly surprised at the overall professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The location cannot be beat if you're visiting MIT.
Close proximity to T stop is ideal. Bed was lumpy, hot water in sink was dangerously scalding.
The location. They offered none of the amenities that typically are offered free at any other hotel I have stayed in. Very low value for the top money they ask for. I won't be staying there again on my next trip to Cambridge.
on the T very basic room for the price
Nice view, good shower, renovated lobby Room was old and unremarkable
Convenient location. Clean room. Very helpful and pleasant staff. It's shocking that for the price you pay for a room at a Marriott that Wi-Fi or wired Internet connectivity is not free. Really? Bathroom vanity was very small, too small for two people to be getting ready at the same time. The under-mounted bathroom sink wasn't installed under the granite, vanity top correctly...surprisingly low build quality or QA, again, for the price of a room at a Marriott.
nice view of boston-- too far to walk comfortably to cambridge
The staff was very helpful and nice. I made a reservation for the wrong night with kayak and they guided me step by step to correct the error without penalty ( even if I already passed to deadline to cancel). While I was on the phone in the lobby the night manager brought a bottle of water free of charge.
The management was fantastic.
Staff were pretty friendly. Took 30 mins to find my booking. Rooms and facilities are old and run down. No room service. No beer on tap in the bar (i mean it is Boston) . Breakfast was expensive and poor quality and selection.
That it was being renovated, leading to a messy lobby, busy elevators and noisy early in the morning
Having to pay $35 to park my car. Given location of hotel, how do they expect people to get there other than by car. It is not like the hotel was in downtown Boston. Should be free to Marriott members. Breakfast was o/k.
Sawing and screwing noises woke me up at 7:30 am.
Staff was great, excellent location, great breakfast (not included, at least at my rate). Comfortable room, nice bed, etc. Heating didn't work, on a rather cold night. It was a bit like staying in a tent during winter camping that way. Staff indicated to me that the heating units (they were old school, but I wouldn't have minded if it worked :) are all in process of replacement.
Great value for a roomy and spacious quiet location. I loved the shuttle it can pick you up near the stations but I wish I knew coming in instead of walking there. No real amenities but there are renovations underway. Snacks were only provided on the first night not second.
Very clean and comfortable. I was a single girl and I needed help with my bags which were very heavy. I called up the concierge and the front desk 4 times but no one came to pick up my bags and I had to lift 3 bags on my own..
Friendly staff A bit far from Boston downtown
The hotel was incredibly clean. The fitness center had all we needed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, nice, helpful and very funny. This was a five plus star place for a cheap affordable price. We LOVED this place and we would stay at this hotel again. There was nothing not to like. I truly love how clean it was. It could have done without the "NY parking charge" but as New Yorkers we get it.
Nothing Booked 5 weeks ahead of time, confirmed my reservation via email the day before and was still double booked and unable to stay at the hotel. Poor business practice to do that to people.
Kind helpful staff
Almost everything about it was amazing Their pool facility does not have a hot tub
The bed was very hard. The room service was a disaster. They gave us bread with fungus!! and a pitch of water to make coffe!!
The hotel was clean and had all the amenities you might need during your stay. Parking garage has in and out privileges. Hotel is quiet & beds are comfortable. There is a Dunkin' Donuts across the street. Don't stay here if you are hoping to be close to Boston. It's definitely outside the city. It is easy to find though. It's located just off the highway.
super clean, friendly staff wish they had a jacuzzi
Gorgeous hotel, updated and clean, showers mediocre, must try salted caramel cake. 30 min taxi to rail. No airport shuttle offered.
Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Elevators did not work.
I always adore that special white tea smell of the westin. The building itself was beautiful... All glass...the girl w the red hair in the front was super sweet and as always the hotel room was very clean and well kept. Always love the Westin!
Clean and well designed. Infastructure is in need of updating, i.e. outlets.
Nice updated decor and furniture. Hotel personel was friendly. Bar restuarant closed early, by 11 pm so it was hard to get something to eat or have a cocktail/ nightcap.
The rooms were clean and beds comfortable, though on the second day, they didn't replace all the glasses with clean ones or clean out the ice bucket. At check-in we were informed our 2 rooms were no where near each other so they checked us into 1 room and told us they would call when the other room was ready. They didn't. I had to go down a couple of hours later to ask for our other room. I made the reservation months ago so they should have put the rooms side by side but they didn't. Furthermore, I had a package at the desk, which they did not tell me about.
The room was very drafty near the windows- lots of cold air coming in
Great location near the center of Harvard Square. Rialto is an excellent restaurant. Regatta Bar is great if you like jazz. Hotel is in need of renovation. New England shabby-chic means it's just a basic hotel in terms of cleanliness and room amenities. Bathrooms are seriously dated and in need of complete redo. Service levels are mediocre. Business center is a joke (1 computer and an attached printer). Prices are very high: you are paying for the location.
Excellent service and superior restaurant. Very friendly staff who facilitated the check in and out as well as the luggage. I was in and out many times with my 7 year old grandson and he was always greeting with a smile. My daughter belongs to your health club and so they are used to going to your hotel. Overall, a well located, efficient and very quiet hotel.
Well decorated rooms. Convenient to Harvard square Officious front desk staff. Being told they couldn't change our departure and charges despite a family emergency because it was our fault we used a third party reservation service. Being told entirely dissimilar rooms were the same. Smelly comforter covered by clean sheets. No coffee maker in room. Ice available only on request from room service.
Everything is within walking distance as I enjoyed a glorious autumn afternoon. I browsed endless rows of books at the Coop, watched rowers glide along the Charles River and ran stairs at Harvard Stadium while the football team engaged in a spirited practice. When I returned to the hotel, the room smelled great. They must have a special scent. I enjoyed the organic soap, shampoo and lotion that came with the room. Henrietta's Table is great for breakfast / brunch, and I highly recommend The Harvest for dinner. A very nice stay.
Location was great with excellent service and nice trait ants around in the plaza
The Charles is a perfect place to stay in Cambridge. It is well located, well designed with contemporary clean lines but still warm, and the Rialto is a fabulous restaurant in the hotel. We had a corner room which was quite spacious which we really appreciated as we were staying multiple nights.
Location was excellent. The room was very nice and comfortable. Excellent farm to table restaurant and bar. Although they had a parking garage, the elevator to the lobby was out of order so you had to take the stairs and the stairs lead to outside the front entrance. Very inconvenient if carrying any bags from the car and also because of sub-zero temps that weekend. Also no in and out access for self parking at $40 per night. If you leave you have to pay again.
The Charles Hotel is centrally located in Cambridge, so it's very easy to get around the town. We walked wherever we needed to go and got there quickly and easily. The hotel has several dining options and an actual fitness club, not just a room with some cardio equipment and universal equipment. The wifi works well and the staff were all very helpful. It's pretty expensive to stay here, but we found a good deal on one of the discount hotel sites. I'd return in a heart beat.
One great thing about Harvard Square is the high energy and bustle, especially when school is in session. What makes The Charles so perfect is that it is a tranquil respite right on the edge of all the happenings.
Best Hotel in Cambridge/ location is perfect
Super comfy bed. Very clean. parking fee of 9$ especially that the hotel is only accessible by car.
Great check in staff! Very personable. Room nice , comfortable bed:) Bedt room service. Lobster roll was superb! Especially the food !
Clean and comfortable. Just outside of downtown. In close proximity to food and other daily needs.
After a 13 hour drive I would've slept on a cardboard box but what I got was heaven! The staff was beyond nice & very personable. The girl that check me in asked what I wanted in a room. Didn't demand or just give me a room. Made my first trip to Boston the best & set the bar extremely high. Would have been nice to have a guide to what was around the hotel. Being from out of state my wife & I had no clue what was around the hotel without having to do some investigation. Also, having to pay for wifi was a tad annoying.
Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower. They charge for WiFi in your room and we were charged for the breakfast buffet, even though our online booking through Kayak claimed the buffet was included in the room rate.
It was reasonable The first floor rooms were very musty smelling and damp.
Comfortable bed, clean room & bath, quiet
Where's the free internet?? Try to log in and there's a charge of $12.99. Cheeping out and false advertising is not the way to acquire repeat customers, Very upsetting!
Vue from the room. Staff is great. Parking is available. Not much really.
Dinner table in restaurant had a nice view of river Given the price of hotel $300 for one night and the suburban location expected more. Room, 466 was an extraordinary ling walk from lobby. The hotel is poorly designed. Nothing was free. Had to pay $11 for the internet, no free coffee or hot water in the lobby. Housekeeper was knocking on our door at 8:30 in the morning then opened the door when we didn't respond soon enough. They leave an envelope in the room to remind you to tip housekeeper. I generally don't stay at Marriots so maybe they do this everywhere. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. Seems like this is something the housekeeper should notice and report. Would not stay here again.
the staff was amazing form front desk to hospitality and I felt very comfortable there. you could hear the neighbors outside and through the bathroom vents
The staff is wonderful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We got a mini-suite, which was great for having friends over. The pool was refreshing and well-run. Good food. Near boating on the Charles River. Nice grounds. Easy access from highway. Paying for wifi access. Food is pricey.
Fantastic rooms - incredibly comfortable, large and provided everything we needed. Great location - right near the subway and 10 minutes maximum from either Harvard Square or the centre of the city. Very generous buffet breakfast and above all, a wonderfully courteous and friendly staff. This is a comfortable and extremely well run hotel. We will definitely be returning! Our only criticism (and it is small) is that the restaurant in the hotel was a little expensive and had a rather restricted menu. However, given the huge range of other places to eat and drink in the vicinity this was not a problem.
We went for the 4th of July holiday and felt so comfortable in the small and warmly decorated hotel. Being such a crowded weekend, we never felt overwhelmed due to the hotel being near MIT and no school in session over the summer.
The Kendall Hotel offers confortable, silent and clean rooms very close to the Kendall Subway Station.
It is quiet, especially on weekend stays. We feel we did not really get the "Delux" King Room, but just a regular "King" size bedroom. So we are not really sure if we got what we had booked and paid for.
As an old firehouse, this hotel has great character and is a nice respite from typical chain hotels. The breakfast was excellent and afternoon wine was a nice touch. This hotel provides a wonderful experience for guests and is a very good value. Parking was very tight
Great location. Spacious room.
responsive staff, comfortable and quiet room. Although close to a "t" stop, the immediate area is bleak.
clean smelling, nice decor pillows, lighting
Comfortable boutique hotel in a great location right next to the MIT Red Line Stop. Excellent breakfast. Nice 7th floor lounge. Great value! No.
Design of the hotel. It is very cosy to stay in. Very slow elevator. Absence of a teapot.
The hotel, a former firehouse, has a beautiful feel. The very opposite of a cookie cutter chain hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and comfortable. The location, in the center of Kendall Square, is difficult to park in. The hotel does have a small underground lot (which is great) but the fit is right. Despite a warning from front desk staff, we still managed to nick the front bumper...
Friendly staff, great location, Wi-Fi hotspot in every room.
The breakfast was wonderful! The room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Good lighting in the bathroom and good water pressure. The old blower/heater unit on the floor, against the wall. Feels very 1970s!
The property is in need of some TLC or attention. I have stayed with Sonesta before but would not stay again if this was first experience with them. Bathroom had hair on the edge of tub and in the corner of bathroom - not reassuring that room was clean. The door to the bathroom didn't close all the way because the door frame was warped. Some very strong fragrance - perhaps room deodorized was so overbearing you could taste it. Dirty knives in the silverware drawer. Front desk didn't ask how the stay was or I might have shared this with them. Very disappointing stay
Room was clean and well maintained. Some breakfast items were above expectations while others were below expectations (is it possible to water down scrambled eggs...seemed like it). Too few staff speak or understand english. Advertised items (grab and go breakfast) did not exist, and given a run -around when I asked about it (last person in the chain said "no!"). Overflowing trash can in front of the hotel is an eyesore and sanitary issue.
The staff was very friendly. The room was big and well kept.
Danielle and Heather at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. Overall the staff seemed very nice. I would go back.
The hotel offers large suites with friendly and green surroundings. As European, I don't like the fact that all breakfeast dishes are plastic and to be trashed (knowing that this is still common in the US...)
My sister and I enjoyed the suite! Plenty of room and the kitchen added an extra plus.
The staff was amazingly friendly--from the front desk to the breakfast crew to the room maintenance staff. Also, the location gave great access to major highways as well as Middlesex Turnpike (to get to the Alewife T station). It would be nice if they could refinish the metal in the elevator cabs. The rest of the interior decorations were fun and creative, but then you get into elevators that look abused and it took away from the overall effect.
Easy check-in and check-out. This is in good proximity to most of the downtown Boston sites. The hotel offers a shuttle to the train station as well. It was what I expected for the location, it wasn't the most up to date or clean hotel.
Good location that we choose to get to airport easily. Our room was clean and spacious. Excellent value. The vanity area in our room was small and difficult for 2 to use. that may have been particular to our room.
Staff was friendly, lots of choices for breakfast, comfy beds, and clean rooms! Location wasn't to bad, but I did end up taking a taxi to Boston. Better if you know your way around the public transport or can drive, not too bad if you don't mind cab fare!
The hotel smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite being a nonsmoking hotel. The mattresses were old and broken down. There was trash littering the hallway that was never picked up during our stay. The hotel shuttle took nearly an hour to pick us up at the airport and when we left, we had to wait for quite awhile to take the shuttle back because they would only make trips at the top of the hour. The shuttle wasn't in use or anything, we just had to wait for their arbitrary timing, which we weren't informed of in advance. Really, the strong cigarette stench was the worst part -- our pajamas smelled of it the next day and had to be laundered.
Great location. Very pleasant staff. It was not really a hotel. More like a boarding house with short-term rooms. Almost a dump.
Good place, excellent service they did not leave any room for expectations. NA
Friendly staff went out of their way to see that we were taken care of. Not a thing

The hotel is very cute and very well run. In the lobby, they offer free coffee, tea, juice and water. I had to switch rooms, and they were very accommodating. The hotel is super noisy. You can feel and hear the T (subway) running under the hotel. And my first room had beautiful windows onto Mass Ave, but they were not soundproof. It was unbearably noisy.
The hotel is conveniently located to Harvard. Great location. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and I appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, juice, etc. The staff was very polite and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't know the subway ran right below the hotel on Mass Ave. This was pretty loud and interrupted sleep. I stayed on the first floor facing Mass Ave so a room on an upper floor near the rear of the hotel probably would have been better.
WALKING DISTANCE FROM EVERYTHING, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
The rooms were decent size and nice overall for the price. NO PARKING!!!! There was no mentioned of no parking when booked my stay and had to pay $28 a day for the parking garage. So it was a group of 6 people with 4 cars....$28/day each. :( The staffs at reception were rude when I asked about parking. This was not a good experience and would not recommend to anyone.
Noise from highway
I liked the proximity to Boston College. The room was cleam and comfortable. There was no foreworning of the extensive remodel going on. The hotel will be nice when finished, but was clearly not at its best. The restaurant was terribly disappointing-food was not good, and very expensive.
Parking is 1/3 of the cost to stay in the cheapest room! We paid $100 for a small room, and parking cost $30. When we were searching for hotels - we filtered with " free parking." When we got there - not only was it not free, it was OUTRAGEOUSLY priced.
Arrived at 130pm to check in but was told room wasn't ready. When I returned later that night they told me they were overbooked and bumped me to a hotel 20 minutes away. Even though they paid for the cab it was an inconvenience.
