Customer service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and positive. Your shuttle drivers couldn't have been nicer. We were in Greenwich for a funeral, without a car. Your Shuttle service was one of the main reasons we chose the Hyatt. Faith
Beautiful Atrium. friendly staff. Noisy. High parking rates. Unappealing pool-not that clean Overpriced food.
Coffee service in the morning (much better than those little in-room coffee pots) Very polite, helpful staff, especially the chambermaids Convenience for our purpose Great value through Kayak Check out at 12 (instead of 11) Gym was a bit small (therefore crowded) Atrium was under construction which was okay but a little unsightly Big hallway leading from parking lot is just plain ugly
Pool was overrun with 15 kids at a birthday party
Comfortable beds, well-located if you have a car. Beautiful indoor garden. Very noisy - you can hear everything in surrounding rooms. Unfriendly and unaccommodating front desk staff. What seems like an oppressed cleaning staff. High parking rates just to park at the hotel. Extra charge for high speed internet. Unappealing pool and gym. Overpriced food. No flexibility for later check-out.
The staff was amazing. You couldn't ask for better service and friendliness.I really enjoyed my visit.I The cleanliness of the Hyatt I felt could of been better. Our room was dusty when we arrived, which surprised me.Cleaning supplies were left in bathroom, and 1 small bar of soap was left for the two of us.It wasn't terrible just surprising because of the friendliness and excellent service.I wasn't going to comment because everything else was wonderful but. since I received the survey I deceided I would.Thank you again.
self parking i s $12 per night. what a rip-off the hotel does nothing for it. there is no security in the parking lot.
Breakfast was wonderful. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful. Cost for water and self parking. Rooms not as pictured online.
The rooms excellent I liked everything
Professional and friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed! Overall hotel is magnificent. Free coffee and tea is served next to elevators in every morning. We've also enjoyed pool and spa. Free breakfast would be nice.
Atrium is a nice look and close to highway I can understand a valet parking fee, although excessive at $25, but a $12 park yourself fee at a hotel not in a downtown area with a huge parking lot is not nice.
Walls are paper thin and guests like to scream in the hallways and all common areas
The user interface for getting connected to the WiFi was the worst i have experienced compared to the many other hotels at which I've stayed. I walked my device down to the front desk twice to get help where the gentlemen who attempted to help were unsuccessful. I don't know if the server was experiencing because eventually (an hour later) the connection was made, but i needed the connection quickly. I needed to resort to using the computers in the lobby.
Updated and easy to get to Had to pay for wifi- and had a big bug in the shower
I like that it was tucked away from the highway and from any busy streets. The ambiance was very professional; very nice decor; generous sized rooms and very bright lights in the bathroom. Would have been nice to have free wifi.
The area is beautiful, the hotel is massive and very clean. I didn't stay long enough. Checked in at 1am, checked out 10am the next morning.
The hallway my room was on smelled like complete throw up and had a horrible odor until later on in the night. Understandably, it was new years day when I came but the hall should of been sprayed or contained the smell. That is the only negative thing I have to say about my stay.
Nothing Parking was supposed to be free when I booked and I was charged for parking when I arrived. Our first room smelled of BO. We were moved to an alternative room, which was fine.
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Proximity to the mall and restaurants is nice. I'd prefer free parking, but who wouldn't?
The staff were especially friendly and helpful
Professional service and a classy clean look. We can't wait to stay there again.
Their staff was very helpful and friendly.
The location is great for where we needed to be. The entrance to the property is 'grand', really liked driving up. The restaurant is 'cellar 49' is in the basement, cosy and intimate. Great service, helpful and super friendly! ... The noise! They need to insulate the walls! We were placed in the 'Weschester' part of the hotel (someone told us it is the quietest area), you could hear the guest next door talking on the phone, hear what he was watching, and hear every single passerby in the hallway chatting away...
Everything at Tarrytown House was just so easy - easy check-in, perfectly comfortable room, and the front desk was so helpful (setting us up with cabs, for example). Plus, the grounds were so green and lovely. Highly recommend - a great value for the cost of the room.
It was a nice location and beautiful property. It was impossible to find the room and the map was poorly labeled. So many buildings and parking lots. Very challenging to navigate. Rooms were rather basic for the cost of the room per night.
The pool was 21 and over and served GREAT drinks! The staff was very nice We didn't eat breakfast there because of the price. It was expensive.
Spent the weekend at the estate when I proposed to my girlfriend. Staff was very accommodating to my requests to surprise her and Alex even had a few extra special touches to add to our stay.
clean room big room nice furnishings great view shower had low water pressure hotel is a maze to navigate
Staff was friendly and facilities were fine. Found bed bugs in my bed.
Location in Tarrytown, NY, overlooking the Hudson, friendly upbeat staff, parking on site was convenient, price was great through Kayak, pool was nice and warm, racquet ball court was great! Food at Cellar 49 was tasty. The doors to the room do not close automatically when one exits their room. At one point, I notice that 3 of th4 doors in our area were left ajar by accident. To actually close and lock a bedroom door, one must pull it really hard to make sure it closed. What I am saying is that this is pretty unsafe for women who may be traveling alone and also, throughout the night, I we heard was other guests SLAMMING their doors closed. When I mentioned this to the front desk staff, they seemed surprised to hear this. Some of the paint, wall paper, flooring (in pool bathrooms), need serious sprucing up. Also, air conditioners seem to leak or stain the outside of the building and when I looked out my window, I saw rust stains running down the side of this building. For a Destination property, I expected more in this respect. As my only Destination point of comparison, I have stayed at the Wild Dunes Resort in the Charleston, SC area, which was AMAZING!
The building was beautiful and classic. Closer, than I thought, to NYC, but probably need a car to get there. The restaurant was good or okay. It is also a great wedding destination. I will definitely recommend my friends to stay there. The service at the restaurant (Celler 49) was a little slow and strange. Food was good or okay. However, it will not stop me going back Tarrytown house estate in the future.
The pool is great, the employees are very helpful and kind, and the place is beautiful. Nice pool, too. I only wish there was someplace to eat on the grounds aside from the pricey Cellar restaurant, since we kept having to take cabs to the main part of town to find restaurants.
The beds where comfortable, good water pressure and got water. Plenty of parking. Not happy that we had chipping ceiling paint over the bed. Don't be fooled when your told you have a room with a view of the pool. It was noisy, could bot open the windows for fresh light because of pool was right there, and random people walked up to the glass sliding doors to sit in chairs directly in form of our room.
Nice rooms, although a little on the small side. Great location while visiting Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Elmsford, etc. Cooper Mill restaurant is comfortable with good food and provides the room service. Did not make use of the spa, but it looked nice. Excellent service at the front desk. Very accommodating of any request. Evenings when there are company parties and weddings in the ballroom, parking can be a problem. The ballroom can handle very large groups. There is plenty of parking available but it can be a long hike to carry your luggage. We experienced this twice during our four night stay. Coffee service in the lobby is Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday only, and then coffee is not served until well after 7:00 am. Do not plan on coffee service from the lobby.
Not so many people there and it is very quiet place to relax and peace. so we came at the right time!;) One mattresses is very soft and floppy which makes my back hurt. Plse check the matrress... Also needs a bigger table instead of square table so can put some food on instead on the dresser...
Stayed for three day instead of staying in a NYC hotel. Beautiful rooms, fantastic bathroom, kind staff and great spa facilities.
HOT WATER WAS LACKING ,THE 16 KIDS IN THE ROOM NEXT TO ME HAVE A BARMITZFA, TILL 430 IN MORNING KIND OF GOT OLD BUT EVERYTHING ELSE GREAT
Sometimes my wife is right on the money. NYC congestion I can live without. I stay here I save half my money and get 2x the service...This hotel is brand spanking new...like walking onto an elegant Starship...USS Comfort...we came to nyc, felt relieved at the end iof the day....the Malls are right next door!
This is a great hotel if you want splendid service and excellent accommodations. It is a bit on the sleepy side--there's no bar owned by the hotel with a lot of activity. But you can have a quiet drink in the lobby restaurant.
The room's bathroom facilities. All staff interactions were great. Parking was $30 for the night.
The rooms were beautiful, updated and huge. The bathroom was wonderful aswell. The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The front desk staff seemed to be a bit incompident with hotel details such as hours of the spa and restaurant and how the computer system worked. It seemed like there were a lot of 'new' people on staff.
I really enjoyed the breakfast selection and outdoor pool :) Didn't like that only 1 elevator was working at the time of my stay.
Staff was friendly. For the area this is the best priced hotel. It was clean and quiet which great. Quiet in the sense that even though there was a lot of people staying there I never heard anything throughout the night. The free breakfast and shuttle were also great. I travel to the area quite a bit and I think this is the hotel I will stay at every time.
The restroom was uncleaned and the room was very small
No dresser in the room.
Location 227 is a sad, little room. A queen room at the Hampton Inn. It is unloved and uncared for. If the room were located in Paris, France or a berth on a cruise ship it could be considered spacious but by typical standards it can only be described as tiny. There is no chest of drawers. Guests must leave their clothes in their suit cases or stuff the two night stand drawers. The bath room contains the typical notice indicating that for ecological conservation linens left on the towel racks will not be laundered. Sadly, the bathroom is so cramped there is no room for a towel rack. Clean linens are stacked from counter to the ceiling on shelves. Used linens can only land on the floor. There is abundance in other areas. Two arc lights outside the window of room 227 bath the seven storied building in light. The lights also perpetually bath the room in light. At night, the blackout curtains glow at the edges framing the window as if morning is always eminent. The door to room 227 is located about 12 inches from the door leading to the pool and parking. There are 5 parking levels at the Hampton and the easiest access to most rooms in the hotel is through this second story access. SCREEEEEEEECH-BANG goes the second story entrance door hundreds, possibly, thousands of times throughout the night and day. Management and staff dislike room 227 as much as the guests. Neglect and frustration is clearly present. Controlling the water temperature in the tub is frustrating. Turn the control knob too far and the water is icy cold. Turn the knob too little and the water is icy cold. Like a modern day Goldilocks, guests need to turn the knob on the tub ‘just right’ to get the water temperature close to what a human could sustain. The tub spigot and the shower head are not affixed to the wall. Diverting the water to the shower head is troublesome as the spigot moves around as the guest attempts to send the water to the shower head. Do not think that your HHonors will help you here. Staff has learned, or possibly well trained, to contain prepaid guests to room 227. Ask for relocation and offending guests are given static and treated as trouble makers. Room 227 does have a redeeming quality. Having been a guest of room 227, I affirm to live a better life and treat my fellow passengers on earth better and more kindly. My earnest hope is that after I pass from this planet that I do not end up back in room 227.
I felt safe lots of noise from the highway. Only one elevator was working. Room wasn't ready when we got there
quick check in, breakfast, clean room and bathroom Line for breakfast was way to long, dining area wasn't up kept very well, neither were the elevators.
Everything.... Was the softest bed ive slept on... Bad for the back.
Desk Staff and Cleaning Staff very helpful Not noted
Clean hotel, comfortable beds and very quiet. The staff was nice. We stayed 2 nights and I wouldn't have minded if our stay was longer. There aren't many choices in this immediate area, but judging by the looks of the other hotel I saw, this is the best. Our room was at the end of the hotel, so maybe that was the culprit, but the wifi was terrible. It constantly dropped in and out to the point where it was effectively useless. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:30 and my wife and I got there just before 10 and they had already closed and were setting up for lunch. Ours and the key card of another guest stopped working on the 2nd day, which was a little annoying, but not that big a deal as it was easily reactivated.
It was a very comfortable ad pleasant experience. The rooms are modern and very clean.
I like the fact that I was able to book the room on short notice I did not like the fact that they do not cater to your typical family on vacation very uncomfortable when it comes to dealing with front desk and some Of the staff will never return it's my own fault for not planning ahead Which Is why I laugh when you have a question on the survey asking if it was worth the value the answer is No!!! I have been happier in a hospital No Accomodtions should have known better ther is only 1 picture of the 2 rooms styles the offer deluxe queen and deluxe queen with breakfast hahahah shame on me!!!!!!
Cleanliness of room and hotel overall was great. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh amenities. Great area and very secluded within the Rockland area. Within minutes in town very convenient for me. Nothing I didn't like.
Clean. Great staff. Phenomenal breakfast buffet. Definitely go back. A little bit of a corporate feel. You can tell it was an old IBM building. Great place though.
So close to the city but the landscape and grounds really take you away to a clean and comfortable escape. Tons of conference space ideal venue for business meetings or even a wedding!
Excellent location for my travel schedule. Accommodating staff. Comfortable bed/pillows. Lovely golf course view. Handicapped room not requested. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Shower tiles and sink area required better cleaning/bleach. Windows very difficult to open for fresh air. Windows and frames dirty.
Great location. Looks majestic from outside. Bathroom was smelly with nauseous odor that filled room. Called maintenance, they sprayed deodorant. Left exhaust fan running all the time to prevent odor from coming back into room. Jacuzzi had chlorine and pH issues. Hopefully it was isolated instance.
It is set in a quiet locale The bathroom wallpaper is peeling off, the party door to the adjoining room couldn't be properly locked at all, there was no refrigerator nor a microwave oven of any kind in the room, the windows were drafty, the decor wasn't modern, the chair was worn.
The decor and ambiance in this hotel is worth every penny! Quality hotel and very friendly staff!
The staff was excellent 1st put into handicapped room. Upon request they moved me into regular room, in morning I couldnt control the water temp and couldn't take a shower & couldn't turn water off. So couldnt shower before work. problem was later resolved when i returned.
Lovely grounds, staff, good breakfast, nice rooms
great location / atmosphere. older and needed some tlc.
The location was beautiful and convenient. The room was small, furniture old. Shower tile moldy. A/C loud and hall noises kept us awake all night. Husband got food poisoning at hotel lunch, & front desk staff showed no concern & charged me for 2 aspirin & coke. Never staying here again!
Staff was very accommodating with a special request Zero
I didnt like that the elevator was broken amd that my bathroom smelled and the house keeper just came and sprayed some freshener and when I came back to the room it still smelled horrible. I wouldnt reccomend to any one.
Hotel is absolutely beautiful. Staff was very friendly, attentive and extremely courteous. Couldn't be happier with this hotel selection.
Nice room, had everything I needed, a fridge, shower, bed, and wifi. I have no real complaints. The room was clean and had fresh towels/linnens when I arrived. I was never disturbed during my stay. Wifi was a bit slow.
Comfort Beds & Room layout was nice. Double Closet with 1 door made getting clothes in & out difficult
This hotel was easily accessible from all major roads. The property itself is well-maintained and very clean. In the staff is very friendly and helpful too. After a very long day of touring New York City this hotel was a welcomed stay for weary travelers. The Bistro Cafe located in their Lobby is an excellent choice for breakfast. We ventured out into the neighborhood our first day for breakfast, and we were very disappointed with the food locally. We should have stayed on premises to eat at The Bistro Cafe both mornings.
The staff at the main desk and in the restaurant were friendly and attentive.
The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff at the check-in desk was efficient but not overly friendly, with the exception of the first check-in.
Paper thin walls. You hear EVERYTHING including The opening and closing of the extremely loud bathroom doors. the DJs in the downstairs club may as well have been in my bedroom. But at least I had a lovely view of the cemetery
I had a mix up with date for discounted reservation. Hotel was very gracious in giving me a room that night for discounted rate. I was very pleased that they did that for me. N/A
I really love how professional and friendly the staff is. Everyone greets you with a smile... The room was extremely trendy and the beds were so comfortable... The bathroom was very contemporary and towels were extra soft .. You get a pair of new slippers and a nice robe.. There was a keurig coffee maker and a glass refrigerator.. The pool was nice, clean and warm .. I would definitely stay here again and again.. No trash can in the room. Restaurant doesn't have a great dinner menu
Looked like it might be nice.. We specifically chose the place so we could relax in the hot tub/jacuzzi. It wasn't working and in fact that and other things were still under construction. One elevator didn't work. Restaurant seemed way too expensive. Feel like we got ripped off.
proximity to Greenwich My room was not ready in late afternoon when I arrived to check in. I had to wait in the lobby. The 'continental breakfast' is not more than coffee, dry cereal, and a dry roll. I was very disappointed.
Bar/restaurant. Outstanding sushi Cold water in room, hot water heater was broken for the whole hotel. Staff acknowledged but would not refund.
Small, comfortable with a nice restaurant/bar. Friendly staff. Other nearby alternative (Hyatt Regency) is a 'big' hotel. This was our third time here and we like it. Only negative: a little TOO modern. Toilet opens when you step in the shower. No hooks in bathroom (maybe one). Wife had to turn waste can upside down in shower to shave legs.
I received a patio room, which is much nicer (and quieter) than the 'motel' courtyard room, which should be avoided at all costs. This was the first room I recieved with a bath and a separate shower. This was my 3rd trip to this property. On each visit, one of the evenings I ate at the hotel restaurant. The quality of the meals has not been as expected, nor commensurate with the price. Minor nit, housekeeping did not replace toiletries during my stay.
New, modern look. Privacy on the deck area. Bed was great.
Cool, very chic place with lots of gadgets in room. Need a user guide to figure out the toilet. Good outdoor pool. Free wifi. I booked a king, the staff lied at my checkin which is unacceptable, ended with what they said was two Queens, they were tiny twins. Restaurant way overpriced.
It was very updated- tech savvy. The staff went out of their way. We arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and they put our food orders in immediately and brought dinner to our rooms (10:30 at night). A great experience. Not at all.
The cool vibe, high tech reputation (if not execution), great food in restaurant and bar My phone did not work in my ground floor room, and since they said the hotel was full they would not change it.
The staff was outstanding. I received a warm welcome when I arrived and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. The room had amazing features with the latest and greatest technology as well.
the staff were very helpful and gave more than was asked for, they went above and beyond. The location was perfect for me, easy on/off 95 and I had to travel north in the morning (against traffic) and south in the evening (also against traffic) a little instruction on where to find things would be great, such as the buttons needed to work the lights and shades
The toilet was AMAZING! I also enjoyed the staff, very friendly and made me feel welcomed. The bar was also a nice touch. The free shuttle was also a plus, I will be staying their again in the near future. I loved everything!
love the pool and workout area a lot of walking to parking lot, but not that it was bad weather so it didn't really bother us.
Check in was easy
Location was ideal for our travel. Only 75 minutes from home. Conceige was ill informed. Couldn't give us any information on the area or other golf courses in the area. Hotel should have a small store to be able to purchase toiletries, ice cream, soda, water, etc. also housekeeping didn't provide shampoo or wash cloths.
Location Couldn't get into our room multiple times, even with new keys, due to the keys not working (they said the door battery was low) Locker room locker also wouldnt let me get my stuff out, they also said it was a battery issue...
Proximity to SUNY Purchase. Comfy beds. Room smelled musty, like a basement. No free wifi.
The convenience of the restaurants Many kids constantly running every where day and Nite....very noisy
We were having an affair at the hotel and our team headed by Rosaria Costa could not have been nicer more efficient. We had also had our daughter's wedding here a few years ago. I would highly recommend Ms. Rooms were not ready when they were supposed to be ready to check in. even though we told the front desk we were having an affair at 6:00. The 4:00 check in time was not honored.
They charge $8.95 for a day pass for wifi. Not classy. Not going there again.
Everything was good. Noisy neighbors on the room next to ours and the weird shower head design.
Friendly staff, valet parking, convenient location. The room was well laid out and very nicely decorated. The room was quiet, no noise from other rooms.
The room was large and the staff were great.
The comfort the modern decor and the overall quietness of the place considering its in the heart of town. I liked everything
Great on all counts that matter to us: staff, design, amenities, location, and value. Works for business or leisure. Our 12 year old son and I decided to stay in White Plains on a lark (after an educational and fun trip to Sleepy Hollow), and very happy we did. Would recommend to anyone who needs "a clean, well-lighted place" to sleep.
Clean, comfortable, modern, inviting, convenient location
Rooms were well appointed and comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful Pool was closed
Great staff very polite , helpful and friendly Bathroom had no pressure
Nothing Cumout leaked from midnight , never had this kind issue in any other place
The kitchen is nearly fully stocked This was the best stay I've ever had with my dogs.
Our room was spacious and very clean, hotel staff was friendly and helpful, bed and pillows were comfortable. Coffee was good, I usually dislike hotel coffee but Hyatt had some good coffee. Breakfast buffet could have been a little more exciting. Limited choices and pretty bland.
Nice, clean, quiet rooms. The beds were very very comfortable. Very nice breakfast including eggs and sausage. Enjoyed the pool and workout area. Close to all the Palmyra LDS Historic sites and the Hill Camorah Pageant.
Convenient to event we were attending Serving area was crowded for breakfast
Room was awesome facilities were good Guy at the pool was creepy and muttered remarks under his breath about us.
I like to visit NYC every once in an while but don't like to cost of hotels in the city, not to mention the trouble with parking my vehicle. I find this hotel reasonably close to the city for a reasonable cost and with plenty of parking space. The facility was clean and the staff was ok. I felt a little aggravated that at breakfast, the regular coffee machine was broken and there was no regular coffee at all, only decaf. When I inquired about it, the personnel attitude was like "there's no regular coffee, deal with it." I feel that coffee is a fundamental part of the american breakfast and the management could have make alternative provisions to have regular coffee available. Now, to be fair, I was not completely coffee-less. There was regular coffee with a coffee maker at the room, but them the second day of my stay they did not supply with a disposable plastic component need to brew the coffee and I had to walk to the front desk to get it.
It's located conveniently Terrible service, terrible breakfast, expensive for what you get and elevator didn't work.
